Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

@babyjellyfish good luck for the next 48hours.

@MrsGrealish I think it was a fake peak... OPK's were 0.46 yesteday (when had static) and this morning back to 0.18... CD11 for me today... managed to dance Thursday & Friday, going to keep doing every 2nd day until I get a peak. Premom is still going with Wednesday CD15 as Ov so... Sunday/Tuesday (maybe monday dependent on OPK's)
How are you doing? X

@RMS0209 that's good! To be honest I'm a bit worried about my early peak but defo wasn't a fake one the tests got really low. Would actually make me 6dpo but I refuse to believe that😅

RMS0209 · 09/04/2022 17:10

@MrsGrealish just still really confused by it, poor OH getting all the texts yesterday 😂
Least you did get high results mines just weren't, but as I say every 2 days until a peak which was CD16 last time.. hopefully That's enough next month if I have to try should be easier the ovu should have a better idea about it all! X

MrsUSAinUK · 09/04/2022 18:02

@MrsGrealish if you are 6dpo, maybe you get to test sooner?!

@RMS0209 sounds like you and OH are hitting all the days! sending strong swimmer vibes.

Can I ask for help with my OPKs? The easy@home are reading low from CD4-CD8 (today). The CB purple gave me a blank yesterday (CD7) and a flashing smiley today (CD8) which seems really early given I have a pretty regular 29 day cycle. Does this seem possible/right to you guys? I'm assuming we should just get at it with EOD dancing from here on and keep using the OPKs?

Thanks all in advance x

MrsGrealish · 09/04/2022 18:22

@MrsUSAinUK oh I can't face testing too early and squinting for a line. It's a little soul destroying 🥲

So I've used both in the past and the flashy clearblue is picking up estrogen and LH whereas easy@home just picks up LH. So your tests so far are perfect. The estrogen is building up the womb lining. I think that's why clear blue are so much more expensive.

Yep if u were you I would start DTD☺️

babyjellyfish · 09/04/2022 18:30

@MrsGrealish It turned out pretty well!

MrsGrealish · 09/04/2022 18:41

@babyjellyfish bloody hell!! Double layered?! Defo beats a candle rammed into a Colin the caterpillar😂..you got me looking back at photos of DDs early birthdays 💝

MrsUSAinUK · 09/04/2022 18:55

@MrsGrealish thank you so much for the help - def would write you a letter of rec for that career change, much more helpful than my gp :)

@babyjellyfish that thing is gorgeous!!! cheers to your little one (and you, who made them)

babyjellyfish · 09/04/2022 19:14

Thank you @MrsUSAinUK!

I made little cookies too.

MrsGrealish · 09/04/2022 19:20

@MrsUSAinUK I'm a pharmacist. Jack of all trades, master of none😂 but I know a little about clearblue I got 6 flashing smiley faces once. By the time I got the static me and DH could barely look at each other never mind DTD. So maybe every other day until the easy@home start to surge 😘

babyjellyfish · 09/04/2022 19:41

@MrsGrealish When I was TTC no.1 I got pregnant more often than not (I am a fan of the unfussy uterus theory about why some women have recurrent miscarriages), and one of the few cycles where I didn't get pregnant was the one where we had sex every day for nine days. I think there were no sperm left by the end. So we do every other day.

MrsGrealish · 09/04/2022 20:01

@babyjellyfish omg!!! I love the French writing cookie😍

I hear you. We never used clearblue after that one cycle. Absolute disaster😂

RSmamaa · 09/04/2022 20:17

Hi lovelies. Have I missed any bfps? I've taken some time away as I have covid and feeling rubbish. Hope you are all ok x

MrsGrealish · 09/04/2022 20:40

@RSmamaa oh no 🙈 u ok? Rest, rest and more rest. And paracetamol.

RMS0209 · 09/04/2022 21:11

@MrsUSAinUK thanks for the well wishes Smile

Your tests sound great and heading the right way so far!
I'd do what im doing great minds think alike... every other day until a peak then 2/3 days in a row... sending lots of luck x

@babyjellyfish The cookies look amazing! It's my birthday today and my app's prediction for ovulation so hopefully that brings us extra luck. We have decided to go buy CB ovulation sticks and keep testing daily to check we didn't miss it.

@MrsGrealish I admire your self-control in not testing early! I have my fingers crossed for when the time comes though!

RSmamaa · 10/04/2022 06:47

@MrsGrealish I have felt rubbish but no where near as bad as I thought covid would be. Just just been like a cold for me but I've had a horrible cough with it. Feeling a lot better today but being ill is making me forget about our BFP 🙈. Work won't let me in until after 2 negative lateral flows and because I am on set shifts I don't think that will be happening. Hopefully I have a few more days off to recover and spend some time with my DS. I've missed him as not been able to interact as much 😞

pocketbunny · 10/04/2022 06:55

@RSmamaa I really hope you are feeling better soon... And that everything goes perfectly in the early stages of your BFP.

Today, CD13 (I believe) I tested with the CB. Straight to static smiley. Might just have to stay away from the cheapie tests they didn't seem to work for me.. but at least this means all my period-style pain does line up with ovulation. So that is something.

RSmamaa · 10/04/2022 07:24

Thanks @pocketbunny

MO22 · 10/04/2022 12:26

@pocketbunny snap got my static today!

So is the best thing to DTD today, tomorrow and Tues? I've always been obsessive about doing it right before ovulation but I kinda lose enthusiasm after, but want to try the SMEP now which I think is 3 days when you get your peak?

@babyjellyfish those biscuits look amazing!

pocketbunny · 11/04/2022 02:44

@MO22 I'm not sure... Once you ovulate the egg only lasts approximately a day, so I think you're meant to DTD before...? I did Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

I get confused though because some places say once you ovulate your chances the day after are basically zero and other places say the following 2 days are likely (or is that just incase you got the ovulation date wrong?)

MO22 · 11/04/2022 07:45

@pocketbunny I did Wed and Sunday too, had planned Fri but unfortunately my MIL had a bad fall so DH had to go and stay to keep an eye on her.

I too am confused re afterwards, I think they say you can ovulate up to 36 hours after the positive OPK so I think I will DTD today and maybe tomorrow if I can convince DH ha! Then the dreaded TWW!

pocketbunny · 11/04/2022 08:53

Sounds good. Might as well try as much as you can. I'm definitely done with DTD this time haha.. will start my TWW as of today!

alwaysseeingstars · 11/04/2022 09:31

Good morning ladies! How's everyone doing?
@pocketbunny v jealous that you're in NZ, gorgeous place! Re the 'after ov' thing I think they say it's best to DTD after you think O has happened, as it may happen later than you think. Basically just covering themselves in case the test isn't perfect!
@Longbin sorry that you're no further forward Sad but glad they're taking it seriously? I've had a couple of laparoscopies but not for fertility.
@izzyroo92 sorry to hear about your MC Sad best of luck this time around!
@babyjellyfish what a gorgeous cake, well done!!

I'm now on day 9 of flashing smiles and getting very fed up... I know you're not supposed to test after 8 flashing days but as it came on day 9 last month I think I'll keep testing till I get a static.. getting pretty p**d off everytime I see that flashing smile though!!

MeganMama28 · 11/04/2022 11:50

@pocketbunny in awe of your baking skills! What an amazing mama ❤ we just DTD twice on the day of the static smiley as I also didn't get any flashing ones. We also DTD once the evening after just in case. I think the solid smiley means it could be released within 24-48hours? I could be wrong.

I'm 7PO and feel like I'm imagining symptoms 😂 standard! My nipples feel quite sensitive but then this could purely be just me being overly aware of them!! Think I may get FRERs to test at 10/11DPO as much as I told myself I'd wait until a missed period!

Hope you are all okay! Nearly Easter weekend 🥳 fingers crossed for some sun!
