TTC APRIL

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 09:43

Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

Hey everyone,

Happy to see some people have been getting their static smileys!

The cake and biscuits looked ammmmazing! I definitely can’t bake like that.

I’m 6dpo and starting to feel super anxious and I’ve convinced myself it’s not worked this time but there’s no actual evidence that that’s true. End of next month would have been when my twins, from my first loss, would have been born so I think I’m feeling emotional about that. Still trying to hold out to test until 10dpo.

How is everyone else getting on?

X

RMS0209 · 11/04/2022 14:33

@Hello47

Woo hoo to the static smileys, mines was definitely a fake positive but still smiling 🙂
CD13 for me today.. OPK's still low, temps looking ok.

No don't feel anxious! But PS well done for sailing through to DPO6
Don't convince yourself! Stay optimistic and positive please.
How do you think this cycle went? Did you hit the "key" days?
Sending big hugs for both loss💖
10DPO is good and we will all be here to support you x

@Hello47 sorry about your losses, that must have been so hard. Sending love and hope, it's completely understandable that you're feeling emotional.
@MeganMama28 I think we all start with the best intentions before testing early haha!! Definitely looking forward to a long weekend :)
@RMS0209 how are you finding the Ovusense now? :)

RMS0209 · 11/04/2022 14:56

@alwaysseeingstars
Hi!
How you doing?
Oh it's great, I feel so much more zen about it... I just "pop" it in before bed and take it out in the morning and sync it, it's so good I can't feel it and it's not bothering me... gives a good temp reading too, and can see a fertile window so that's great.
X

Sounds like you're getting on really well with it :) might have to save up and get one myself!!
V fed up... day 9 of flashing smiles today. Was thinking this morning I'll keep testing until I see the peak, but after doing some research it may just mean I haven't ovulated this month! I think the only thing tempting me to keep going is the fact I got the peak on day 9 last time so my body is obviously a bit skewed anyway...
Are you close to ovulation? :) x

MrsGrealish · 11/04/2022 15:02

@Hello47 hi cycle buddy! Food aversions and a bruised feeling in boobs today x had mild AF pains Fri and Saturday night but they've gone now

rj11 · 11/04/2022 17:47

Joining this thread - positive OPK on 2 April and stupidly took a test this morning (negative) and wish I hadn’t. I know it’s early days still but can’t help but feel down about it. This is the first cycle I’ve done follicle tracking so I know I either ovulated 2 or 3 of April. Also tracking my luteal phase as it seams to be on the short side. Anyway just putting it out there as this tww can be lonely and drive you a little crazy

RMS0209 · 11/04/2022 19:04

@alwaysseeingstars
I'd probs say my Best Buy of 2022 anyway definitely save up and treat yourself.. I think it will be nice to have it confirm I ovulated on x day.
Oh no! Hate that flashy face.... but yes keep testing don't give up it'll happen! Keep going please!

No idea re ovulation... seems to vary 14/16/18/19 so I am just dancing every 2nd night until I get a peak, danced last night but part of me keeps thinking I should try tonight too.. hmm will see how my cheap OPK looks nearer bed time what cd are you now again sorry? X

@rj11 hi! welcome. yes early for testing sending luck for the next few days.
how are you follicle tracking?

@alwaysseeingstars flashing smiley less annoying thank blank face though

Nyxxie · 11/04/2022 21:00

CD14 and OPKs still low. They are usually getting higher at this point 😔

That's ok @Nyxxie might just be a bit later this month, I never have mine the same days! My friends were 0.39 until last night and she's CD16 today and suddenly got a peak this morning x

rj11 · 11/04/2022 21:20

Thanks @alwaysseeingstars! Follicle tracking is done using an ultrasound.

MO22 · 11/04/2022 21:34

@alwaysseeingstars just anecdotally, I had 9 days of flashing and also lost my mind, got my static on day 10. I also find if I use a new holder it takes longer as it isn't used to my baseline etc. I accidentally used a new one thus round and I had 5 days of flashy, usually I get around 3 now. Could be another reason it's taking longer?

@pocketbunny omg I am so done with DTD, trying to get that last one out of DH today was painful, almost excited to get into TWW tomorrow so it's over! Was gonna try one last one day after ovulation but just don't have it in me...

pocketbunny · 11/04/2022 21:53

@MO22 I hear you! Just have to hope what we have done is enough for this month, or back to more strategizing for next month!!

@Nyxxie I hope you ovulate soon... It's so hard waiting for it... I'm sure it's coming though :) :)

@rj11 Welcome to the group!

@Meganmama28 and @MrsGrealish I have my fingers crossed for you both and wishing you the best of luck when the time to test comes!

MO22 · 11/04/2022 22:04

@Hello47 just wanted to say so sorry for your losses, and sorry to hear you are feeling anxious. I've got end of June as my due date and it's horrible having it looming isn't it.

But remember 6 DPO is early, and I try and just take each day as it comes... Easier said than done obviously!

MeganMama28 · 12/04/2022 06:49

@alwaysseeingstars hahaa so true I was saying to my OH how chilled I'm going to be this time around 😂 not going to happen! As frustrating as those flashing smilies are I'd keep going until you get a static - I'm sure it'll come soon! I've heard people go up to 14days then get their peak so I'd ignore the advice on the box!

@Hello47 so sorry to hear about your losses sending you lots of hugs. Sometimes implantation can happen at 12DPO so definitely don't count yourself as out ❤ I lost twins in 2019 and I remember that due date coming up. We currently have our rainbow baby (who has been shouting for Peppa Pig since 5am) climbing on us! When you get your rainbow baby they are going to be even more special. Even when they do wake you up at silly-o-clock asking for a cartoon farm animal!!

@pocketbunny thank you! Feel like it's in my head but will start the POAS fun from 10DPO @MrsGrealish sounds like a good sign!

Hello47 · 12/04/2022 07:59

Thanks for everyone’s kind words and encouragement 🧡 just all really caught up with me yesterday.

@RMS0209 glad you’re getting on with ovusense and have a fertile window. I hope you get your positive opks soon.

@MrsGrealish those symptoms sound hopeful!

@alwaysseeingstars I’m looking forward to a long weekend too ☺️

@rj11 still early days! Testing early is so hard not to do isn’t it.

@mo

Hello47 · 12/04/2022 08:01

@MO22 and @MeganMama28 sorry for your losses too. Due dates are hard. I really hope our positives come soon, I know it’ll all be worth it in the end

RMS0209 · 12/04/2022 08:01

This mornings OPK, no temp shift but still every 2 day hoping for a positive soon Smile

@RMS0209 & @MeganMama28 thanks, I'm CD17 currently (no idea how long my cycle is - first month was the 1st off the coil, 2nd month had a chemical but was v long so may be an indicator, 3rd now on CD17.) Will keep testing though!! What days are you on?
@MrsGrealish this is very true! At least something is happening I guess?! I've just read lots about it meaning you haven't/won't ovulate that month but will keep testing just in case :) How are you doing in the 2WW?
@MO22 hmm could be that! used a different one each month. Next time will try the same one :)
@RMS0209 very impressed with you keeping up the EOD!!

RMS0209 · 12/04/2022 09:18

@alwaysseeingstars I am rewarding myself with a nice Chinese at the weekend for all my efforts ha ha.
CD14 for me.

How are you feeling? Silly question but I like to ask others to make sure i'm not as mad as I think i am. x

OP posts:
alwaysseeingstars · 12/04/2022 09:36

That sounds like a fab plan! Good on you :)

I'm super fed up, another flashy this morning, hate the not knowing what's going on! But keeping a record of the few odd cycles I've had so that I can speak to the Dr in a couple of months if needs be, they know I've had very irregular cycles in the past so said to keep an eye on it.

How are you today? You're definitely not mad, this TTC lark is all-consuming! :) x

pocketbunny · 12/04/2022 10:02

I believe I'm 3dpo and vomited twice today. Probably just caught something off the children at work but it's really put me off being pregnant lol. Definitely aren't looking forward to the possibility of feeling sick all the time...

Two weeks is sooooo longggg...

MrsUSAinUK · 12/04/2022 10:13

@pocketbunny hope you feel back to normal soon!! I know what you mean, my mom assured me that she was vomiting every morning from 4 weeks to 14 Shock if I get a bfn again this month I’ll try to remind myself that fact as a silver lining.

As for me, CD11 and day four of flashing smiley. On the EOD plan til I get that static, fingers crossed. Been blazing busy with work deadlines so that’s a decent distraction
