RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 09:43

Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

Congratulations @RSmamaa ☺️☺️☺️

@pocketbunny I work with babies too which I thought would be difficult after the disappointment each month, however they keep me so busy and make me smile so much it actually makes it easier I think!

RSmamaa · 07/04/2022 16:36

Thanks all ♥️

Rhianne18 · 07/04/2022 16:41

Okay, I'm jealous of you both working with babies @Nyxxie @pocketbunny! I work with mainly 18-21 year olds, your jobs sound like more fun!

MrsGrealish · 07/04/2022 16:55

@RSmamaa congratulations 💕 I never doubted it xx

I work with many kinds of people but whenever the babies come into the shop it brightens my day up x

mgdj · 07/04/2022 18:29

Guys would you say yesterday was peak day? What day do I count as 1dpo?! Never normally use opks!

TTC APRIL
MeganMama28 · 07/04/2022 18:29

Sorry been a bit quiet on here but eeeeeekkkkk how exciting to return to our first BFP! Congrats @RSmamaa just SO over the moon for you!!!! What a line for 9DPO!!

Trying to catch up but also agree with what was previously said about epidurals! GO FOR IT! I didn't and at about 8cm dilated I was thinking what on earth have I done?! It's doable without it but I just think why do it to yourself you know 😂

I'm currently in the TWW at 3DPO - I think - and trying to have positive vibes! If this isn't our cycle definitely going to do SMEP next cycle as that worked for us previously.

@Rhianne18 wow 18-21 year olds massively take my hat off to you! I work with 9-10 year olds and I feel like their sass is a lot hahaa! @Nyxxie and @pocketbunny must be so lovely working with the little ones ❤

So question, to drink during the TWW or not? A glass of wine would really hit the spot this evening but then get paranoid it could impact on our chances? Ahhhh the TWW overthinking begins! X

MrsGrealish · 07/04/2022 18:35

@mgdj hey so yesterday peak for sure and ovulation today so tomorrow you will be 1dpo I think!
Congrats join me in the TWW hell 😂

MrsGrealish · 07/04/2022 18:37

@MeganMama28 I'm a firm believer in the 'drink til it's pink' controversial probably but makes life a little more normal xx

MrsGrealish · 07/04/2022 18:49

At this stage anyway. At 7dpo i tend to go off drinking just in case x

Phie04 · 07/04/2022 19:03

Thankyou @MeganMama28. I'm worried it's twins 😂😂 going to book an early scan for 8 weeks as I can not wait until 12. With my son I had scans at 7, 11, 12, 16, 20, 22, 28, 31, 35 and 39 weeks 😆😆 4 were private though

RMS0209 · 07/04/2022 19:30

@Rhianne18
I am glad that you feel relieved.
PCSO is so common I didn't actually realise until I started TTC.
Yes definitely good, even better with the meds and 3 months and then you can try IVF.. time will fly!
I am in Scotland (hi neighbour!) but that's great. we have fertility clinics here but I wondered how much better private is.. and you've summed it up.
All good here thanks, CD9 just "chilling" as much as I can at the minute going to dance every 2nd night until I hit a peak. Fingers crossed for next 3 months you hit it naturally though 💖

@MrsGrealish thank you for sending, I just wanted to compare mine to somebody else's. I had 0.40 today... CD9! I never get this high this early I'm loving it.

@Hello47 Ovusense was good for 2nd night, once I use it tonight I'll sent the chart tomorrow to let you see it's just brilliant i can't feel it and forgot it is in and I just feel zen 💆‍♀️

@MeganMama28 yes, it has its challenging times that's for sure! Also, good to hear that you've had success with SMEP previously! Toying between that one and the purple plan as to which one to try next month.

@RMS0209 the Dr was so lovely and reassuring, I feel like a new woman this afternoon/evening just knowing, and the results really wasn't as bad as I thought it might be! Oh you're not too far away! I'm happy to share the price what we paid if you'd find it useful? Glad to hear that you're feeling nice and relaxed!

mgdj · 07/04/2022 20:59

@MrsGrealish thank you!! Can’t say I’m looking forward to it, honestly the slowest 2 weeks ever! 😂

Mfinch225 · 07/04/2022 21:40

Hey ladies! Just a quick question If anyone has previous experience/ knows someone who conceived this way…

I will only be able to DTD 3 maybe 4 days before ovulation. I know it’s a long shot but is this too far out to conceive or would I still have a chance? Thanks!

MeganMama28 · 07/04/2022 21:59

@MrsGrealish love that! Definitely going to take that on board 🍷 cheers to some normality at the start of the TWW! Going to try my best not to test until 12DPO but no doubt FRERs will be purchased hahaa

@Phie04 I was the same with our son! Had an early scan so it'd feel more real then an extra one at 16 weeks because I was desperate to know what we were having. Do twins run in your family? Imagine double trouble 😂❤❤

@Rhianne18 I also had a few friends that absolutely swore by SMEP so thought it was a good option! I also took Royal Jelly pills which I'm trying again this time around. What's the purple plan? Intrigued!

Rhianne18 · 07/04/2022 22:18

@MeganMama28 oh good to know people you know have has success too! What are royal jelly pills? What benefits do they offer?

@RMS0209 shared both of the plans in this feed yesterday. I can't say I know much about it only what has been shared.

pocketbunny · 08/04/2022 07:42

Feeling so sad right now :(

I have pain today which I have always attributed to the start of ovulation and EWCM last night and today when wiping. Get home, take my OPK, not even a faint second line :'(

I've never done these before, but I've seen the tracking of others and feel like I should have a second line by now.

Will hopefully DTD tonight regardless as we are basically trying purple method and I'm meant to ovulate in the next 2 days. But just feeling so deflated :'(

alwaysseeingstars · 08/04/2022 08:34

Oh @pocketbunny sorry you’re feeling so down 😢 that’s very odd, I’d have said if you get clear ovulation signs yourself that’s the most reliable? But very weird it’s not showing on OPK’s. Said it a few times on here but if you’re worried about whether or not you’re ovulating I’d def recommend the medichecks progesterone test to put your mind at ease 😘

Rhianne18 · 08/04/2022 09:32

@pocketbunny I'm sorry you're feeling sad today. Strange that you're having clear signs of ovulation in yourself but nothing on the OPK's. As @alwaysseeingstars said, maybe try the Medicheck test? Might give you peace of mind. Sending hugs! x

Hello47 · 08/04/2022 10:09

@pocketbunny so sorry you’re feeling down.

If it makes you feel any better, this frequently happens to me. I have EWCM etc for a few days, have low opks and then suddenly peak out of no where. You could just have a short lh surge so it’ll come and go quickly!

I really hope you feel a bit better soon,.
I’ve said it before but this whole process is so tough and can feel a bit much sometimes. Try doing something nice for yourself if you can and take your mind off it all for a bit x

RMS0209 · 08/04/2022 10:13

Im confused guys...
my clear blue just gave me a "peak" but my cheapie opk gave me 0.46.. can somebody help? im at my witts ends today Sad

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 08/04/2022 10:14

@Rhianne18 definitely would be up to hear costs etc only if you don't mind sharing Smile if OH's stage fright doesn't go away might have to look into something such as IUI or such like. Sad

pocketbunny · 08/04/2022 10:17

@alwaysseeingstars and @rhianne18 thank you for your responses. I really appreciate it! I would love to try the medicheck test but it doesn't look to be available in New Zealand. I come to the UK frequently to visit family but alas haven't made it back since before covid :( hopefully this year or next depending on how our TTC journey goes.

@Hello47 That definitely helps to know! Thank you! It's all so new to me, I hope I am just like you. I have only 2 OPKs left but might splurge to keep going because I didn't take @RMS0209 advice and order more in a timely manner!!

MrsGrealish · 08/04/2022 10:46

@RMS0209 I think that this happened to someone else on a thread I was lurking on. Clear blue gave the static 1 day later the cheapie was peak. So don't worry xx

Rhianne18 · 08/04/2022 10:52

@RMS0209 Nothing is TMI. I read that position and waiting afterwards until you go to the toilet, makes no difference. I wouldn't worry and stay positive. Your readings are very different and if it was me I'd go by the CB as I have always found them reliable.

Of course I don't mind. We paid £580 for a couples Fertility MOT. I had a blood test for AMH, internal scan and general health checks, blood pressure etc. DH had a SA and the price also included a consultation with the fertility doctor to give us our results and a plan. I can honestly say, the best money I've ever spent, just for confirmation and peace of mind alone. They also offered fertility checks separately too.

@pocketbunny Covid has put a stop to so much travelling. It might be worth having a google to see if there is anything similar where you are?
