Hey all,

Simple post really, according to Flo and my current symptoms, I am due to ovulate today or tomorrow. Still trying to figure out OPK's and so not really been using them.

Just wondered if anybody wanted to go through the Two week window with me.

Have dtd a few times over the past few days and so hoping to have some luck this cycle.

Baby dust to all of you

Hello @Gillseybear

I'm using Flo due to ovulate tomorrow too 🥰
This time is so awkward isn't it because it feels like you're wishing time away!

We've dtd pretty much every day since af stopped so hoping this is our month 🤞

Is this your first? We have a DD who is 1 today and second month ttc #2.

Gillseybear · 07/03/2022 19:00

Hey @BuchananBaby

Thank you so much for your reply. Yeah it's a weird one and we have been trying but we have both been busy with work this past week and so it's made it harder than normal.
I hate the TWW as it drags by and I just want to know what's going on.
Although the past two cycles have been super weird and out of whack. It's super annoying as I have no idea what is going on and I am trying to change doctors at the moment as my current doctors will no longer see me as I am not longer a student and so cannot use the student branch and I am out of the main surgery's catchment area.
This would be my first baby although I have had two Mc's before and my partner does have a 9 year old daughter.

@Gillseybear I totally get it sometimes dtd is the last thing you want to do after work! I'm so impatient I just want to know there and then if it's worked or now.
That's really annoying! They do say when you start ttc your cycles go mad just to wind you up 🙈

It's hard ttc after a mc isn't it? I had a mc in January we weren't trying but got excited then we mc. Decided to 'see what happens' since so of course I've been tracking everything 😂 luckily DP is quite happy to just go with it!
Fingers crossed this is both our month 🤞

Gillseybear · 07/03/2022 23:18

@BuchananBaby
You are right there. I have just started a new job at a school and so I am getting used to the routine of being in a classroom and it takes a lot out of me at the moment.
Yeah I know what you mean. I am terrible as I overthink every ache and pain ect. It drives me insane at times. I am hoping we get lucky this month aswell. It's just a waiting game now.

It's so annoying that our bodies decide to be pains when TTC. I just wish it was easy to understand.
Yeah trying to conceive after the MC's makes me even more impatient during the TWW as I want to know so that I can see midwife and get the ball rolling with that stuff

Hello, thought I’d join in. First time ever trying, 41yrs, partner had vasectomy reversal 6 mo ago.
I’ve used a clear blue ovulating test, 2 days ago was flashing, so tried then and also today it was solid smoky face so tried again. Do I we need to again in 48hr? We don’t even know a) if my eggs work/exist or b) if he has any useful sperm post reversal.
This is very new to me (so is this site) but I love reading the comments here. Good luck everyone!

GeraniumCedarwood · 08/03/2022 13:08

Hi everyone, can I join you? I am 31 years old. Positive OPK on Saturday, think I ovulated Sunday, so now 2dpo. I had some spotting today, which was unusual.

@Cally1980, my (non-professional) understanding is that you want to have sex before you ovulate so that the sperm are waiting in the fallopian tubes. A static smiley should mean you ovulate within the next 24-36 hours. Sperm can live up to five days, so having sex every other day when you start to get a flashing smiley puts you in a great place for sperm catching an egg. There is nothing wrong with trying again in 48 hours (especially if you don't know if you have ovulated) But it sounds like you've had sex in the right window already :)

Baby dust to you all x

Gillseybear · 08/03/2022 17:34

Hey guys feel free to join.

I have defo ovulated today as I have had spotting and ECM

@Cally1980 I think you ovulate 24 to 36 hours after you get a static smiley but I am still trying to figure OPKs out myself

@GeraniumCedarwood spotting could be a sign that you have just ovulated but it's hard to tell sometimes.

Baby dust to you all

Hi, kind of new here too. This is our first proper month of TTC and trying to read signs/aps of ovulation. Think I ovulated around Thursday. I have very irregular periods anywhere between 27 and 35 day cycles but believe I am in the 2WW now so would like to join xxx

Hey

I know that feeling but the last couple of months have been petty accurate and I have been able to tell by the fact that I have a little bit of spotting in ovulation day.

Hey can I join too please! I was part of a small tww thread last cycle and it was just so nice to go through it together! Unfortunately I ended up having a chemical pregnancy then :(
I'm 4dpo today ttc #2!

I'm trying to last until next Monday to test...

Fingers crossed for us all!!

miamiamia869 · 08/03/2022 19:07

@helloworld88 so Monday would make you 10 days post ovulation. Is this around about the mark to test?. I don't know too much about it yet but know you can get the early detection tests which sound good....
@Gillseybear oh really that's good then and makes it easier to keep tabs. I think I had a bit of spotting on the day that I think I ovulated so fingers crossed we are both right!! X

BuchananBaby · 08/03/2022 19:23

Welcome everyone! It's so nice to have a wee group to get through the TWW with 🥰

I'm definitely ovulating today I am absolutely starving and want to climb dp like a tree 🙈😳 will keep dtd for the next few days so we don't miss it.

AF is due on the 24th so will likely test on the 20th which is the Sunday before. I have never been able to hold out until AF arrives.

RMS0209 · 08/03/2022 19:35

Hi!
I'm only CD10 but will hopefully be ovulating soon.

Can I join this thread? Smile

helloworld88 · 08/03/2022 19:55

@miamiamia869 yep planning to test at 10 DPO. I'm using the Premom app this cycle and it's predicted AF next Friday but wanting me to test on the Wednesday (so two days before AF) I will never be able to wait that long though.

For when you do test get the first response ones which are meant to be able to detect it 6 days before AF

Cally1980 · 08/03/2022 20:58

@Gillseybear @GeraniumCedarwood thank you. We decided not to try again today but skip a day and try tomorrow. Had EWCM for 2 days now and hopefully will again tomorrow. I’m counting ovulation date as yesterday so that’s 1 whole day.

I’ve had a strange headache where my whole face flushed today, maybe it’s hormones?

Gillseybear · 09/03/2022 19:05

Hey all,

It's lovely to have you all here and I know what you mean the TWW can feel super lonely while trying to convince.

Today has been a hard day as I have felt incredible rubbish all day. Defo ovulating around now as have had more EWCM today and also had a little bit of spotting again. I have had the major munchies all day along with cramps and nausea. I also have tender breasts this evening. I dunno whether to be positive and think this is all good signs or try and ignore it because I do not want to get my hopes up again. According to Flo Af is due on the 23rd of march. I seem to ovulate really early in my cycle which is kinda confusing but anyway I will keep an eye on things and keep you guys updated.

OP posts:
BuchananBaby · 09/03/2022 20:17

@gillseybear sorry you've had such a rubbish day 😩 try and be positive in a few days you'll feel much better

Flo said I was due to ovulate yesterday but I actually think it's today.

I feel rotten too but I'm getting over the cold and I had covid a few weeks ago so not sure I'm over that yet. I have been so hungry I've been getting hunger pains even after eating my dinner so that must be the cold! Fun times 🙈😂 we have a trip to Harry Potter World in London this weekend so that'll be a good distraction for a few days atleast!

Thank you so much. What's not helped is I have just started a new job at a SEN school and so my days are very full on anyway. It's just not what I needed but hopefully it's a sign that things are getting back to normal for my body. Especially after the last couple of cycles.

Also think I might have picked up the bug that is going around the school at the moment which is not helping

LittleMrsMama · 09/03/2022 21:17

Please can I join? Ovulated yesterday. First cycle ttc after a miscarriage a few months ago. I also have DD who is almost 2 and I'm desperate to complete our family (but equally feel very lucky to have DD).

Feeling a bit anxious going through this 2WW, both pregnancies before I conceived first time actively trying so putting unnecessary pressure on myself. Trying to hold out from testing as long as possible, but last pregnancy had a positive at 9DPO so not sure I'll last much longer than that 😛

Excited101 · 09/03/2022 21:41

Hello 👋 I hope it’s ok to join, I’m on a few of these threads now 😳

Dtd last night, first time after my implant was removed about 3 weeks ago, and apparently just before ovulation! I’m tracking on a period tracker and today have had some very egg whitey discharge (sorry TMI) but it was really really noticible, I googled it straight away because it was so odd.

We’re only ‘seeing what happens’ for now... but I’ve got fully caught up in it all! 😬 it’s not really something you tell people though, is it. It does feel a bit lonely.

BuchananBaby · 09/03/2022 22:09

@Gillseybear you're just having an awful time of it ☹️ there seems to be so much going about just now cause people are going back to normal.

@LittleMrsMama I'm with you I never normally get past 8dpo 🙈

@Excited101 we're doing the see what happens thing too, well dp is 😂 I'm just making sure it's all happening when it's supposed to 😂

Excited101 · 09/03/2022 22:29

@BuchananBaby glad it’s not just me! 🤦‍♀️ I was kidding myself agreeing to do that, it just feels too important to be able to ignore it- as it were.

BuchananBaby · 09/03/2022 22:39

@Excited101 absolutely not alone 🙈 we all go a little bit nuts 😂 I've been quite up front with dp telling him when I'm ovulating but I think he's just happy to be dtd all the time 😂

Had the weirdest dream last night we were driving to get DD and we had a baby boy in the car - means absolutely nothing obviously but made me smile this morning 😁

Gillseybear · 09/03/2022 22:46

@BuchananBaby yeah it's not been fun I must admit but the new job is going well and so that's a bonus.

My partner also thinks we are seeing what happens but I am trying to keep track just incase. I am just terrible and am an awful symptom spotter. So by using Flo it allows me to keep an eye on things with put freaking out my other half.

You are all welcome to join

Excited101 · 09/03/2022 23:04

Ah this is amazing news! I also have tried to avoid freaking out dp with it all, just quietly looking up pictures of discharge variations in the menstrual cycle by myself 😄🤦‍♀️ (Probably for the best)
I do keep reminding myself that this is month 1, and dp being so much older means it may well take a fair bit longer 😑
