Hey all,

Simple post really, according to Flo and my current symptoms, I am due to ovulate today or tomorrow. Still trying to figure out OPK's and so not really been using them.

Just wondered if anybody wanted to go through the Two week window with me.

Have dtd a few times over the past few days and so hoping to have some luck this cycle.

Baby dust to all of you

My dp isn't fazed because I talked about it before ttc. I haven't been on contraception for about 6 months so when I would say I was ovulating it meant we had to use condoms so he's used to the chat 😂

@Excited101 I don't think age is much of a factor in quality of sperm I think it's just us poor woman who are affected 😩

LittleMrsMama · 10/03/2022 06:50

@Excited101 @BuchananBaby @Gillseybear most of my friends' partners thought they were 'just seeing what happened' when in reality my friends were tracking everything and making sure it happened at the right time 😛 DPs are silly if they think their partners wouldn't be doing that.

We were thinking of just 'seeing what happened' but I knew I wouldn't be able to do that. I love being efficient with my time normally do there was no way I was going to be DTD loads outside of the fertile window. I'd also rather save the heartache of wasted attempted too. So absolutely don't feel bad for tracking things if your parent thinks you're just trying.

Wishing us all so much luck! For the symptom spotters among us these were my symptoms in my last pregnancy a few months ago
1DPO - temperature increase
2 DPO - none
3DPO - none
4DPO - drop in temperature - 1 day dip
5DPO - cramps bad enough to stay up at night, on left hand side
6DPO - temperature increase, cramps on left hand side. Some tingling/pulling just below belly button
7DPO - cramps
8DPO - temperature dip cramps
9DPO - watery CM, very faint positive pregnancy test
10 DPO - pulling sensation, faint positive pregnancy test, tiredness, positive OPK

Sorry I realise how many typos and autocorrects are in my last message! 🤦‍♀️

miamiamia869 · 10/03/2022 07:55

@Excited101 thats what we are doing too and it's always been my husband wanting children more but I've gone all control freak posting on this and tracking things Grin ...

@LittleMrsMama sorry to hear about your misscarriage. I think I am 8 days post ovulation. I only guess due to body changes and what my tracker app says so its not 100%. However yesterday I had a few odd pains in my lower abdomen that I don't recall usually having. I won't test though unless I miss my period. I don't want to go down the line of testing too often and getting upset. I've only just started trying x

LittleMrsMama · 10/03/2022 08:02

Thanks @miamiamia869

8 DPO so not too much longer to wait for you now, but I always find the second week of the TWW much harder. That sounds really sensible with waiting until you've missed your period, I wish I had your self control!

miamiamia869 · 10/03/2022 08:09

@LittleMrsMama no not much, I was so close to testing last month I think was 8 days late but it came in the end. So irregular, think this is what helps me hold off testing. Thank you so much for your symptoms from last time that's good things to look out for xx

Gillseybear · 10/03/2022 08:42

@LittleMrsMama it's weird that we have to do that but it's just easier at t he moment as the other half cannot make up his mind on what he wants. One minute he wants to TTC and the next moment he is concerned about money and how we will cope. I think we will be fine but I think his anxiety comes from the fact that when his 9 year old was first born, he had lots of issues with money and the relationship ect.
I can understand his anxiety but it's frustrating that he keeps changing his mind but if he really was not ready then he would want to start using condoms again but he is not interested right now. So we will see what happens with that one.

If anybody wants to join me on the I feel like crap train, I would greatly appreciate it. Honestly woken up feeling like pure crap. The nausea and the lower abdominal cramps are driving me insane. I have also noticed I can no longer sleep on my front anymore as it really hurts. It's been the same for the past couple of nights.
Trying not to overanalyse right now but struggling with that a bit.

@Gillseybear aww sorry you are going through such a crap time. I agree with what you say it's probably anxiety. I am very much like this, worry about money and everything else the constant care and complete life change. I've been very up and down if I wanted to ttc or not. I was the same when we decided on a puppy lol....hope u feel better soon n wish you all the best xx

BuchananBaby · 10/03/2022 10:04

@LittleMrsMama I've mentioned to my partner that we're trying a few times and he always corrects me that we're seeing what happens - whatever lie he needs to tell himself to get him through is fine by me 😂 that's amazing you managed to keep a log of symptoms and dpo I always mean to and never do it incase I'm just being crazy! My last pregnancy I turned in to a radiator and slept for 12hrs one night so guessed 🙈

@miamiamia869 I wish I had your willpower

@Gillseybear you poor soul! I really hope you feel better soon ❤ I don't think there's any right time to have a baby there will always be a reason not to. Our savings are minimal because I was on mat leave but we'll make it work. Babies don't care how much money etc you have aslong as they're fed and have cuddles they're happy 🥰

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 11:43

Hey ladies I had my mirena coil removed Monday night I had a little bleeding that night into the following morning, I've started what looks like a period I've had cramp since yesterday is this normal back story I've had the coil in since my DS was born he's now 12 last one was changed June 2019 tia xx

Gillseybear · 10/03/2022 12:37

@miamiamia869 & @BuchananBaby thank you so much it's honestly making me feel drained although today all I want to do is eat everything in sight while I also feel really nauseous.
I am kinda glad I have tomorrow off as I can just reset for the day then.

BuchananBaby · 10/03/2022 15:08

@CCPink15 from what I remember that is right it's you're withdrawal bleed. A lot of woman need to wait weeks for theirs so it's really good yours has come so quick 🙂

@Gillseybear have a wee chill day tomorrow and look after yourself.

I'll give yous a laugh I'm working at my mums waiting on something being delivered and can't figure out how to work the heating(I'm in Scotland and it's freezing) so I'm sitting with my jacket, blanket and gloves on trying to work 🙈 so lucky my team can't see me😂😂

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 17:06

@BuchananBaby thank you I've had coils in now 12 years I'm bleeding and cramping since first thing this morning I'm in Scotland too just with being 35 now I'm a bit worried about ttc I was 22 when I had my DS big difference lol x

BuchananBaby · 10/03/2022 17:37

@CCPink15 it's definitely a good sign although annoying to have AF, I've seen people say they've waited 7-8 weeks for their first one which isn't ideal when ttc. I think everyone gets a bit worried about ttc. Loads of people at 35 go on to have happy, healthy pregnancies with no issues. I'm 27 and naively thought there would be no issues with being pregnant, I had a straightforward first pregnancy then unfortunately mc at the end of Jan. I think it's sometimes just your luck ❤ x

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 17:42

Aww bless you @BuchananBaby fingers crossed for us both ❤ AF is back saying did you miss me lol 😆 xx

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 17:53

Hi ladies I'm 35 birthday was Jan 22 I'm also a bigger lady size 22/24 I've already lost nearly 2 stone so far so between my age and being bigger built I've convinced myself I will struggle ttc anyone else a larger lady tia xx

Cally1980 · 10/03/2022 18:47

@CCPink15
I’d consider myself larger, I’m very short but very wide haha. I’m an 18 but hold it all in the middle, scarily around my organs. I am concerned about weight and hormones when ttc. I’m actually hoping ttc helps me as I’m finding more motivation to eat better, get vitamins, not drink etc.

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 18:57

@Cally1980 I'm 5ft6 and I carry more on hips, thighs and bum obviously still have a tummy I'm more a size 20/22 top and 22/24 bottom I'm calorie counting and will continue to do so in pregnancy too if I'm blessed to conceive xx

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 19:00

@Cally1980 I've started conceive plus fertility and ovulation vitamins and ordered ovulation tests I have been eating so much better in the last 6 weeks and lost 22 lbs so far I don't drink alcohol hardly ever and don't smoke xx

Cally1980 · 10/03/2022 20:30

@CCPink15
Congratulations on the weight loss! You must have great motivation as I know how hard it is, well done!

I’m taking a fertility vitamin too but should really watch my calories more. I did manage a run twice this week but it’s very hard on my little legs when already carrying an extra 3st. God knows what an extra baby would do to them.

Cally1980 · 10/03/2022 20:32

How ridiculous am I? I just did a clear blue digital at 5dpo. I must be mad, just throwing money away 😩😔 obviously not a positive 😂😂

BuchananBaby · 10/03/2022 20:42

@CCPink15 that's amazing you should be so proud of yourself 🥰💪

@Cally1980 I secretly love it! That'll be me next week 😂😂, when's you 'aiming' to test? I always try 10dpo and start around 7 🙈😂😂

Mummyboys20 · 10/03/2022 20:56

Hi everyone, I came off my pill back in December. I haven't had a bleed yet! Took pregnancy test today and pretty sure I can see a line, one from morning and one from evening

LittleMrsMama · 10/03/2022 21:20

@Cally1980 I've totally been there! The number of tests that have gone wasted and then when I got pregnant I constantly took tests to keep 'checking' I must have spent so much money on tests!!! The clear blues don't tend to be as sensitive as the FRER ones and strangely my cheapie Amazon tests showed a positive first on my last pregnancy (9DPO)

Cally1980 · 10/03/2022 21:41

@BuchananBaby @LittleMrsMama I was planning to test on day 9 but instead, and as it’s my first month trying, I’m gonna get some cheap amazon tests and do it as much as I like hahahaaa 😬
