TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME AND REALLY EXCITED AND SCARED!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND WITH NO LUCK AND AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID THE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED ME WITH CLOMID!!!
I TOOK MY PERIOD ON 23RD DEC AND TOOK IT DAY 1 _ 5 I AM DUE TO GET MY BLOODS TAKEN ON 11TH THEN 23RD IS BIG TEST DAY!!!
I HAVE READ SO MANY SUCCESS STORIES BUT I CANT HELP FEELING NEGITIVE AS I DONT WANT TO GET LET DOWN !!!

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUPPORT OR ADVICE OR FEELING THE SAME??

Hi everyone this is my first time sharing my story.Well so far we have been ttc for 4 years with no luck and no medical explaination.I was just prescribed clomid 50mg cd5-9 and just finished last pill yesterday.I was wondering if anyone had any encouragement for me as I am feeling a liitle down with the whole process.I am very optimistic about the clomid with all the success stories I have heard.And I did have a little bit of sde effects like nausea,headaches,and a little hot flashes but it was worth it I hope.Well thanks for listening. Anyway im being admitted for my laproscopy tomo. Im really scared as to what they might find. Please guys keep your fingers cossed for me, I am really praying for the all clear and that my infertility boils down to time and patients,

Hi primrose..

I had a lap as that was what discovered my endometriosis... complete shock to all as I didn't have classic symptoms. Firstly, DO NOT PANIC..... if you are also having the dye test to see if your tubes are patent, when you wake up and go for a wee you may notice some blueness to your wee or in your knickers, if so, once again DO NTO PANIC it is perfectly normal. All you can do is think of it as a positive thing as IF you do have anything stopping a bean from being created they will help you sort it !!! Better to have the problem explained than go on not knowing... "Said the wise old bird"... Good LUck and let us know !!

lolz..Im now on CD19 and according to ovulation calc, was supposed to get my next period on CD32 but cos of the leap year (and have a 31day cycle) it increased my waiting time to CD34! God help mee!
Its already soo draggy having to wait for my AF, let alone waiting to test HPT AFTER AF is due(if it doesnt come) soo much sufferinggg..
Im sorry but I need a place to complain and release my frustration

Our thread has gone real quite eh....

I am actually really nervous as I could be counting my chickens too soon....BUT my AF is almost 10 days late, my temps are really high AND I took a pregnancy test last night and I got a very very faint positive line.

I am holding off getting excited....I am going to re-test on Saturday morning.

THe worst thing about this is that my focus on going to the gym today is totally gone! All I can think about it whether I am or not!!!

OH WOW... 10 days late? Surely that's a pretty good sign?? I tested 3 days early and got the BFP so I really hope this works out for you. It is so exciting but also sooooo nerve racking. Have you tried the clearblue tests, the digital ones? That's what I did. Really good and very accurate. Go on get one, the £14.00 is well worth it.... Let me know how you get on. xxxx

Hi all, I am a bit down today as I should be starting my second does of clomid at 100mg for the first time today. I finished my 7 day couse of provera on Sunday and I should have had AF yesterday (as AF showed up 2 days after last pill of provera last month.) And today is 3 days since last provera tablet. My temps are up and have been for 6 days. So I am confussed, did I ovulate late this time? I am currently on CD 37. If so will my period show up soon so I can start my higher course of clomid on days 2-6. OR could I be pregnant? I am very confused and I need some advise please.....

Hi Steph, Mmmmmmm well... you could always test? Otherwise hold tight and wait for a few more days then test again. I should have shares in clearblue preg tests as I have wasted a lot of them !! Remember you are more likely to get an incorrect Negative test that an incorrect positive one, so what the hell do a test... xxxxx Let us know how you get on.

Everything is fine with me thank you (touch wood PEA stays where it is). Feel surprisingly good apart form exceptionally tired and my boobs are now starting to hurt when I go downstairs!! Weird! I am 5 weeks today so all very early still but all seems ok at the moment. No date through yet, hopefully it will come shortly. Although want the scan later into week 6 rather than earlier as they will be able to see more and I do not want what happened last time a complete silence as she was trying to find it.. well to be fair ANYTHING...

Does sore nipples right after ovulation(e.g 3 DPO)normal when using clomid cos' of side effect or early pregnancy symptom?
I never had this b4 so early in my cycle so was wondering..
anyone plzz help ..thanks a lot in advance

Mmm Nandos, I just read something that said it can be a symptom of taking clomid but at the same time It oculd be an early preg sign although that would be very early. What day are you on your cycle?

LAP AND DYE TEST WENT WELL. CAME BACK NORMAL, NOTHING STOPPING ME CONCEVING NATURALLY (THANK GOD)
So why i havent???

My consultant is considering giving me something to boost the situation I just have to wait for follow up. Going to see my GP tomo to see what he can do for me.

Anyone cosidering having this done or is about to rest rest rest. I am so sore at the mo but wort it .

i have pcos and have been ttc for 7yrs now.
I have had one ivf attempt and it failed.
Had a laparoscopy last year and dye test and everything is normal.
Went to the hospital yesterday and have been given clomid due to start soon. Just finished a period, not sure what to expect.
I am nervous, happy at the same time. I am on 50mg.
Any tips will be most grateful.........

Hi every 1, I rang my fertility nurse yesterday and she said there are two possibilitys, I am pregnant ( that would be great as it is my first clomid cycle) OR I have ovulated late so the provera would not give me a bleed as my body is in the process of ovulating. So she said to test next wednesday and if positve give them a ring, and if negative start clomid on the higher dose (100mg) and book my follicle scan around CD11.

Nandos - My cycles are between 35 and 91 days when not on clomid. As it is my first cycle I dont know how long they are during treatment. xx

I really hope u r pregnant in this cycle..dont wanna see u wait till 91 days!
Did u have any symptoms that may be preg symptoms/PMS after ovulation?
