TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME AND REALLY EXCITED AND SCARED!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND WITH NO LUCK AND AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID THE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED ME WITH CLOMID!!!
I TOOK MY PERIOD ON 23RD DEC AND TOOK IT DAY 1 _ 5 I AM DUE TO GET MY BLOODS TAKEN ON 11TH THEN 23RD IS BIG TEST DAY!!!
I HAVE READ SO MANY SUCCESS STORIES BUT I CANT HELP FEELING NEGITIVE AS I DONT WANT TO GET LET DOWN !!!

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUPPORT OR ADVICE OR FEELING THE SAME??

Hi cam,
I had 1st cycle clomid in late Feb this yr and now abt 5-6DPO.
The side effect I had on the 2nd day of pill was cramping(ovary) and very bad headaches..and it lasted till I completed my last pill.While taking the pill I also had bloating and its kind of embarassing ..I dont know why. Maybe cos' I am not pregnant but looks preg .
Now once a while I have trobbing headaches but not that frequent.

Hi Nandos, I am 7 days after ovulation today and all week i have had heartburn after I eat any thing. I dont know if this is any thing to do with maybe being pregnant. I think it is too early for any symptom yet. I really hope I am and I will test Tuesday or wednesday. (if I can wait that long) I have also had a few cramps but not very painfull. So I am in the waitting club at the moment and the suspence is driving me mad. xx

Do you have any side effects at the moment and when do you plan on testing? How do you know you ovulated? Sorry for the all the ?????? xxxxx

I didnt have an ovulationtest kit but there was EWCM and pains on one side and the next day it subside so I guess I did ovulate.
Iam usually an optimist but abt pregnancy test, im a real pessimist so the day my AF is due(next saturday if it comes) plus another 5 days later then Im gonna test lol.
Cos my cycle is alternately late by 5 days every month and this is the month ..
to cut it short, me only testing after 27th march if AF doesnt show

Hi!!! I have tested again this morning on a cheapy TESCO test and within 2 minutes I got a faint pink line ! About 20% of the colour!

I've done 3 tests now all the same result.....so I am getting more excited now ..

I am still saving the clearblue digital for Saturday morning!

DH has already decided it is a definite positive and after the test on Saturday morning I am telling my mum!!!!!!

Can't wait for my confirmation test on saturday......

I still can't believe it...after the internal scan showed my follicles weren;t growing fast enough....AND the nurse telling me that she didn't think I would ovulate!

Well... went to see Hairspray yesterday in London (would absolutely recommend it), it took my mind off worrying but PEA did not like the tube at rush hour...

Hi all, I could'nt wait any longer to test. So I did test this mornig with an e-bay cheapy. It was def negitive. I am a bit upset, but I am only 8 days past ovulation. Is it still too early. I want to see my period now so I can get on with my next cycle. But It would be better if I am pregnant now. My temp is higher still this am so what does that mean? I have never charted before, what do you think?

How long do your temps stay up before indicating anything? My temps have stayed up for 9 days so far today being the highist.

yes my doc perscribed 100mg of clomid today. She said that my only problem is patients as medically there is nothing wrong .

I have taken clomid before so I no it will work for me

hi all I am new to this site so bare with me. I am ttc with my 3rd and am going to need clomid again. I had clomid with my last baby 2 years ago. I fell pregnancy with twins but lost one at 12 weeks. I also have a underactive thyroid and a antibody called anticardiolipin which causes me to clot my blood and m/c. Can someone remind me which bloods you have done cause i had to have them one every otherday as i have very long cycles.

I have been TTC for 14 months...had my first appointment at the fertility unit in January!

I haven't been put on any drugs yet.

BUT I have lost over a stone and have been doing hardcore diet/exercise for the last month as I was told I wouldn't gget any drugs if I didn't get my BMI under 35. I had about 3 kilos to lose in a month to hit that limit.

I don't know whether the weight loss and exercise contributed at all?

I am still shocked as at my internal/vaginal scan on the 18th Feb ( 18th day of my cycle ) I was told I would not ovulate this month as my follicles were only 9mm.

If tomorrow's test says pregnant....well I will then start to believe it!

How is everyone else getting on?

I don;t know how long temps have to stay high to confirm.

All I can say is I waited until temps had been high for more than 14 days before started testing as your temps usually do spike after ovulation and the average luteal phase lasts 10-12 days.

So once your temp stays high beyond 14 days then I would get testing!

Also temps have to be CONSIDERABLY higher.

My normal temp was about 36.3 and then they shot up to 36.5, then up to 36.6, 36.7 and got as high as 36.8.

Temps stayed above 36.7 celcius for the last 10days!

I cant wait to test mine, bought a test kit today but wont be testing so early. Its 7DPO for me I think and I still have some symptoms whiich Im too afraid it might just be PMS ..

YEah I have worked out that due date will be 11 nov 2008 however I am sure the midwife will work out somehting totally different when I get my first appointment.

First time posting on the message board and am looking for some advice....

Have two kids with DH - Amelie is 3 and Luca is 2... I had one depo injection last year before DH and I agreed to expand our family... since coming off Depo, I haven't had a period... went to see GP last week who said just wait, nothing he can do.

We really really don't want our children too much further apart in age and we're now getting desperate...

So my question is this: Can I book an appointment with a private OBS/GYN and ask for a prescription for Clomid flat out? Will s/he need all my info from GP? I am paying privately, so why not? I think it's the NHS's rule to wait 12 months whilst TTC before intervening...

Can anyone help?

DUNCANGIRL - So if you are due 11th Nov you are one day ahead of me?? I am due 12th. So that makes you 5 weeks and 6 days today!! I am 5 + 5.

I have a scan on 26/3 but have convinced myself that all will not be fine following on from last years mc.

Have your boobs grown?
