Hi guys

I am currently on day 34 of my cycle, which is not right for me. My longest cycle is 30 days (and thats not often, norm 28).

AF does feel like shes coming but not yet arrived. I have done several preg test all negative.

Any advice.I am so confused, I have been using preg test which we use on the wards for patients I was thinking maybe to try clearblue.

hi ya primrose maybe you should use a clear blue test butdont stress yourself to much as it will stop your af coming .

primrose....

If you are only 4 days over your normal cycle....you never know...the early detect pregnancy tests say that they work from the day your AF is due but I think it isn't till you are at least 5 days late that it picks up the true result.

Fingers and toes crossed!

Pinkali37 · 25/02/2008 13:48

Hi all, thought you'd all gone to sleep...

Sambrads.. my sister is also suffering big time with morning sicknes BUT it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy so stick in there.

Ducangirl.. I can't emphasis re BMI but I can with the feeling of being on a rollercoaster and never feeling like it will end successfully. At one point I thought I was depressed, and like you had days off work as just could not literally face life in general, all that mattered to me was having a baby. To be fair it still does. Every day is a challenge BUT you have to remember that if you are not in a happy place, your body won't be. IT will be hard but you must get that chin up and show those medical lot that they are wrong. Do a healthy eating plan (I also did WW last year and lost 2 stone), my problem was quite literally eating too much even of a good thing. After every evening meal go for a brisk walk (especially as the evenings get lighter), try if at all poss to cut out bread and pasta. For all I know you could already be doing this but i hope some of it helps. PCOS/PCO is a double edged sword as it does make you put on weight. Just do your best and hell woman CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss so far!!! Don't forget we are all here for you. I know that feeling of loss and emptiness but try your hardest to get out of that otherwise it is a downward spiral. Come on please

Primrose.. Not sure if the acupuncture works, tonight will be my 4th session. They are £33 for half an hour which I think it horrendous but if it works?? Apparently it works by our/my womb being the garden and the acupuncturist being the gardner. He is trying to get the garden fertile. It is to do with blood flow etc...

Carastar.. How many doses have you had? My next one will be my fourth and my consultant said I should be going up to 100mg then. Do the hot flushes get worse? I'm off tomorrow for my day 21 blood test but i have also booked in for a day 23 and 27 blood test!!!

Keep smiling everyone... xxxxx

Pinkali37 · 01/03/2008 14:31

Had day 21 blood test / prog results and it was 67... at bloody last I ovulated.... YIPPEE xx

supersteph · 02/03/2008 13:45

Hello every 1, Happy mothers day 2 all. I am on cd 27 2day and not sure if I have ovulated. This is my first round of clomid 50mg days 2-6 and day 14 scan showed 3 9mm follicles. so proberly not this month. I am waiting to start 100mg days 2-6 around 20th march if not pregnant. Any info on uping the dose will b great. Thanx and baby dust to all

Pinkali37 · 03/03/2008 08:30

Hi Supersteph,

I'm surprised you have been told to up your dose for your second month on clomid. I will be upping it nest month if no luck this time to 100mg but that will be my 4th month. I am at the Consultants tomorrow so I will ask about upping it. I asked for a repeat prescription from doctors, I got home and checked the packet (as asked for 100mg) and they have given me 30 tablets and on the front put take from day 1 as directed. Blimey if I was stupid I would take all 30 and 2 at a time.

What does 'cd' mean? Does it mean the day of your cycle. If so, I am on day 27 today!! How long is your cycle normally? Why are you on clomid? Sorry about the questions.

supersteph · 03/03/2008 12:16

Hi Pinkali37,
I have a 2 and a haly yr old boy which I concieved naturaly after 18 months of trying. I have very iregular cycles. My shortist cycle was 32 days, and my longist cycle was 90 days. I have had a m/c in august 07 at 12 weeks. I concieved that 1 naturaly after 13 months of trying. After many tests at the fertility clinic they found I have PCOS.They also think they could be why I m/c. After my scan the fertility nurse told me that if I did not get pregnant to up the dose next round. How long are your cycles? And yes I am currently on cd 28 today. meaning cycle day. did you ovulate this month?.
You can call me Steph. x

supersteph · 03/03/2008 12:21

Sorry Pinkali37, just read your post so congrates for ovulation. Fingers crossed you fall pregys this month.

Pinkali37 · 03/03/2008 13:05

Hi Steph.. you won't believe this but i've taken a test and it is Positive!!! I am now soooo scared as I m/c in Oct. I am 4 weeks on Wed. Not sure how to feel and certainly daren't be happy or look forward. I'm so scared that I am going to lose it and that it won't implant...

xx

supersteph · 03/03/2008 13:34

*CONGRATULATIONS
So happy for you.Do you feel any diffirent? Dont worry. I know it is easy to say, but you MUST keep possitive. When do you have your scan? I bet you are in shock, as I could tell you were not expecting it this time. A BIG just for you. x keep me informed.

Pinkali37 · 03/03/2008 13:42

I feel physically sick and it's not morning sickness. I just feel like I am going to lose it. STUPID i know but I suppose it is after last time when i was 5/6 weeks when i m/c. Nope don't feel any different at all. Looked on internet and apparently it is too early to feel different as I will be 4 weeks this coming Wednesday.

Thank you so much for your support.

xxx

DungunGirl · 04/03/2008 15:08

primrose88 · 05/03/2008 19:12

pinkali37

congratulations mommy, i wish you all the best. AF did turn up. Had a 34 day cycle which is the longest i have ever had in my life (norm 28-29). So i wonder if clomid is to blame. Anyway havent took it this month. My lap is next wednesday so lets see untill then ladies have fun baby making, and baby dust on you all

supersteph · 06/03/2008 12:26

I dont know how my second cycle is going 2 work. I am currently on day 4 of 7 on provera. Last time I had a period 2 days after last provera tablet taken. I was told to increase to the next dose, so I will be taking 100mg of clomid days 2 - 6 stating around 12th march. When I went for my 14 day follicle scan last month they told me the clomid had not worked as well as they wanted. I had 3 small follicles around 9mm. Why has the fertility nurse told me to increase the dose on the second cycle if the clomid had started to work? Any info would be great thanks. x

DungunGirl · 06/03/2008 13:03

Hi supersteph!

What a coincidence...I haven't been put on clomid or anything yet but at my investigative scan this month, I have 2 maturing follicles and it was mid-cycle and they were only 9mm as well!

I think the nurse wants to increase the dose again as you need a follicle to reach between 20-25mm before you can ovulate.

Sorry if I am missing the point all together!

supersteph · 06/03/2008 13:20

Thank you Dungungirl,
That makes sence. Have you been TTC for long? Sorry if you have told this board. I have not read all the messages yet. I cant wait to start my clomid. wont be long now. hopfully this month will b the 1. Thanks for your respond.

Pinkali37 · 06/03/2008 18:36

Steph, I really hope they give you the Clomid. xxxxx

Duncangirl - Hello....

Primrose - Hello...

Short message as just making tea and sitting in office and the heating is off and i'm freezing....

Sleep Well xxxx

DungunGirl · 07/03/2008 08:43

Hi Pink, Hi Prim, Hi Sam ( where are you!!!)

Hi Supersteph!
Glad I could be of help. I have been ttc for a year. I already have a DS aged 3, but TTC no.2 just isn't happening. I have been through all the investigative tests over the last 4.5 months and my first appointment with the subfertility consultant is on the 19th March.

However, I am overweight ( have been since I was 9! ) but it got worse after I had my DS. I thought this was why we were having trouble conceiving no.2, BUT after losing a stone and it still making no difference, the tests came back and they have confirmed PCOS.

Here is the BIG However...my GP and the fertility nurse BOTH told me that should probably be put on clomid but because my BMI is 36 and they won't treat anyone with a BMI over 35, I am stuggling to shift the pounds before the 19th.

That is the long and short of the story!

Pinkali37 · 07/03/2008 08:58

Morning Duncangirl... DON'T FORGET KEEP SMILING... It will happen. It's happend once so why the hell shoudln't it happen again?!?!?!? Every lb of your weight loss is a positive step My friend was in teh same position as you and what teh doctors called obese and after she had all teh bad news she conceived naturally (I think they call that Sods law)..

My hubbys birthday today so am off to Leeds. Meant to be clubbing but now 4weeks preg going to a nice restaurant and back to the lovely hotel (TO GO TO SLEEP).....

Have a great weekend everyone and remember BE POSITIVE... xxxxxx

supersteph · 07/03/2008 12:19

Pinkali37 have a great time. And dont you forget to STAY POSSITIVE.

Dungungirl I have got a 2 and a half yr old boy which took me about 18 mnts to concieve naturaly. I got prgnant again but m/c at 10 weeks. After loads of tests they confimed pcos. They said I have to watch my weight and I could do with lossing some. I have put on two stone since I had my little boy. I always seem hungry. I tend to be snacking on all the bad things like chrips, chocolate and peanuts. I need to loose this extra weight as not only is it unhealthy but I look at myself and I hate my body. I just want my own body back. I loved being pregnant and I really hope this next dose will b the one for me.
So I know how hard it is to loose weight, too well. We must be strong and have willpower. I know you will do it as you want a nother baby soooooo much. Do you do any exercise? And if you dont mind me asking how old are you? I am 24.
