TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME AND REALLY EXCITED AND SCARED!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND WITH NO LUCK AND AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID THE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED ME WITH CLOMID!!!
I TOOK MY PERIOD ON 23RD DEC AND TOOK IT DAY 1 _ 5 I AM DUE TO GET MY BLOODS TAKEN ON 11TH THEN 23RD IS BIG TEST DAY!!!
I HAVE READ SO MANY SUCCESS STORIES BUT I CANT HELP FEELING NEGITIVE AS I DONT WANT TO GET LET DOWN !!!

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUPPORT OR ADVICE OR FEELING THE SAME??

20th next friday am a bit scared never had anything like that before

stress my work have referres me to occupation health just waiting for them to contact me?? i have been in my job 6yrs i need a change but not while i am ttc.
How long have you been at ure job? if your dr is good then she will do it. Just say that your stressed and clomid is giving you signed effects

1 year yes my doctor is great i will see how am feeling and i might ask him to do that for me how is your partner taking it ?

ok he has a child from a preivous relationship. He is vey sweet and understanding, we have been 2gether 9yrs,it's like being married i suppose. are you married?

yes been married 5 1/2 years got married when i was 19 am 24 now how old are you

Cam75 - your weight hit a wall. Me too!
After losing the 2 stone, my weight is now going nowhere.
I am still doing the gym 3 times a week and still on low GI.

Asked my GP about referring me to the PCOS unit at the hospital but she refused as they usually prescribe metformin as a 'weight loss' tool and she doesn't agree with that. She said as I have managed so much on my own back that she would prefer I avoided metformin.

BUT....my weight is now going nowhere! Boo hoo!!!!

What do I do?
Why does everyone in the medical world refuse to help me?

Hi all, I had my 6 week scan yesterday and I can confirm all is well. I saw the heart beating and my little pea was where he/she should be. I have a scan booked in 2 weeks time as of my mmc last year when the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. I have been feeling sick all day for 3 days now. Last night I was very sick. sorry if tmi. Am glad to have my symptoms finaly. I send all of you loads of baby dust. xx

Steph congrats thats so ace, Im really pleased for you. Glad ur having another scan in two weeks, thats good. What could you see???
When u say feeling sick do you mean like morning sickness or worry sickness???
God, i hope its my turn soon, what with clomid double dose, acupuncture, herbal tablets, eating as healthily as poss, barley drinking and going to the gym, i would say im doing all i can to encorage BFP ASAP!!

i had to fight to get the metformin beleive me, when i went to my gp first she said that i should go to the gym and referred my to see the nurse to do a weight lost programme. It worked for awhile but then i just came to a stand still at the gym and it was not working anymore? All the drs keep saying to me in order to conceive i need to lose weight (hello is anyone listening i have pcos and it is harder). It was only when i was due to start the clomid and i sopke to the fertitly nurse i burst into tears and said that i am having no luck losing anymore weight. It's been 3 weeks and the weight is dropping off my mum and sister say i look smaller. Don't be dishearted and go get the tablets. It is easy for the dr's to say oh just go to the gym but i think they don't really understand pcos and losing weight is hard and we need something to help us on our way. i am going to start back at the gym next week not sure if it's ok as i am waiting to test? i will just go on the treadmill i suppose. go get the metformin.

how are you? i am soooooooooooooo tired not sure what i am feeling.
When did you start your tablets? it will stop aunt flo the beloved clomid. I keep going on different sites and reading other stories with women like us. Next week i am going to keep busy until the following week, i have yet to buy a pregnancy test. I have brought so many in the past but never the result i was hoping for... How are you? you better be relaxing.. (grin)

hi cam i take my last one tomorrow hpefully i will never have to take them again if it works this month lol.....

mmmmm lets see baby hopes pcos friendly just search and it is amazing it really is. Most of the women have been and given birth to there bundle of joy....

I am confused not sure wheather or not to chance going to the gym??? maybe baby is implanting??? i know some women do get a pg test with one cycle of clomid. I feel more hopefully with this i think as ivf was stressful and i was heart broken when i had a negative test at the end off all those injections and stuff.

8 days to go and counting....................

well what ever resting method you have (wink) remember to keep your legs in the air it helps??? have fun (blush)

every other day i had too bd. apparently every other day because it is better for the sperm. Try and make it fun and not just about ttc. i am going to an ann summers party next weekend and get a nice outfit

Hi all, Viksam I mean feeling and being sick due to ALL DAY SICKNESS!!! I know this is a good sign so am not worried about it. It is nice to know my little pea is doing well at present. I did not see a lot at the scan but what I did see is a small black blob with a heart beating. At my next scan I will see a lot more as the legs and arms will have started to form. I cant wait, I have my first midwife appointment next Tuesday. xx

Congratulations on the 6 week scan, I am so pleased for you. Just try and relax and I am sure your PEA will be just fine. I am quite amazed how they just hang on in there. Nature is amazing when it works.

I am 18 + 4 today and just can not believe how the time flies, once you're past the 12 week point. Those first 12 weeks felt like a life time. x

i took my last clomid tablet yesterday but today i seem to getting really bad hot flushes and a bad pain in my lower stomache like period pains but a little bit worse is this normal so early

it is my first time on clomid took i cd2-6

baby dust to u all

morning ladies,

i am have got something to tell you all. AF came!!!!!! I had cramping yesterday and it was so bad i said to myself it felt like af pains. I had very light bleeding and i thought maybe implantation bleeding? i called the nurse who asked if it was a proper flow until it was don't panic.
Well this morning i woke up to severe pains and she is here in full effect!!!
I am in shock because this is what is was like when i had the ivf and before test day i had some bleeding???

I know that every disappointment there is a blessing and at least it is not fianl i still have another 5 cycles to go so i am hopefully. There could be alot of things but i am not going to dwell on it.
Just wanted to share with you ladies xxx

Cam, which tablet stength are you taking?

50mg when i had all those scans i thought maybe it was the right doseage? will hve to ask the nurse. Dose strength matter?

No don't worry that is what I got pregnant with on the 3rd course. I sometimes think it takes time to build up in side you. Can you afford to have acupuncture? I really don't believe in eastern alternative medicine BUT reluctantly started it the day before I started my 3rd course of clomid and voila I was pregnant. Not sure if it was in my head but however it worked I am so thankful. The guy who did it on me, made me realise that the womb is like a garden (sounds soooo stupid) and he is like the gardener trying to make it fertile (like soil). Whatever it was, I started to really enjoy my sessions each week and it helped me have me time and relax. I'm a solicitor so my job was soooo stressful.

I am on clomid and metformin so the weight is coming off. I have an appoinment to see the consultant next month so i need to get really slim to give my body the best chance although i don't want to get too skinny like posh
I have not tired acupunture maybe it will be something to look too.
