Hi LauraLou
Welcome!
You are so lucky that your GP is willing to presribe you Clomid !!!! I am still killing myself to lose weight. It has gone a little pear-shaped though over the last 4-6 weeks...first I had the miscarriage, then I caught Slapped cheeck disease from my 3 year old, then I caught a tummy bug !!! So my health has been letting me down.
But on the good side, my weight hasn't gone up, in fact even though I have been rubbish, it has still been very slowly going down.
I weighed this morning and I need to lose 1 more pound/ half a kilo and that will take my total weight loss since November to 2 stone!!! Hooray!!!!!
LauraLou I have found that the combination of 3 times a week gym, a little exercise at the weekend ( I go for a morning cycle with my DH and DS ) and a Low GI diet.
On this combo, I have managed to keep a constant weight loss.....on average about 1 -2 pounds a week. OBviosly, there have been a few hickups and I also hit that dreaded plateau where I lost nothing for 2-3 weeks! But other than that it has worked better than I thought!
Moonlit I understand what you mean about trying to exercise and cater your diet when you have a little one about and also a DH to think about. It hasn't been easy...but I have in fact noticed that as now we all eat Low GI....our diet as a family is MUCH healthier and my DS loves our Saturday morning cycles . We make it fun for him by making the point we are cycling to either a park or a play area. We aim to do about a 3-5 mile ride.
Anyway, I have my next consultant appointment on 2nd June..and hope I can drop another 2 kg by then, because if I can, I would still have a BMI over 30 but I would feel like I had reached a mile stone!
At present I am 33.5 bmi... at my last appointment in March my bmi was 35.1 - so I was JUST over the 35 limit.
I so so so hope that I will get clomid on the 2nd!
