When did u find out and how far do u think u are? How do u feel?

pootleflump · 19/04/2008 19:43

Brilliant news lmd!!!!! You'll have to come join us on the 'due dec thread'.

Thanks viksam, I was on my first round of 50mg - can't believe it worked 1st time, I really didn't expect it. I'm 5 weeks now and starting to feel a bit queasy and tbh I'm just really nervous more than excited... once I have a scan I'll hopefully feel more relaxed.

Good luck for this round .

supersteph · 19/04/2008 22:20

I have just read your fantastic news.

A big congrates to LMD.

I can't believe how meny people have got their BFP recently.

It gives us all hope.

Do you have any symptoms yet? how many days ago did you ovulate? xx

Pinkali37 · 21/04/2008 09:07

Littlemiss daisy - FANTASTIC - Hope all goes well and let us know how you are getting on! xx

littlemissdaisy · 21/04/2008 10:22

Hi , I am excited and nervous all at the same time, due to my mc before. I feel fine, a little bit tired boobs achy on and off, but nothing else. I have been spotting ever so slightly not blood just pale brown stuff, Sorry if to much info, Is that normal???? Don't feel ready to join the Dec thread yet, think I might stick around with you guys a while longer

gem2mum · 21/04/2008 11:41

LitteMissDaisy, Fantastic news!. A friend of mine spotted all the way through her pregnancy and the docs said it was nothing to worry about.

Pinkali37 · 21/04/2008 13:45

Daisy - Do not worry. At your stage so much is happening with your body. Like you I had a mc in Oct last year and so I still do not feel like I can enjoy being pregnant yet, just worry at every single thing that happens to my body. Initially it was all pains. From the middle of my tummy, to a crampy feeling to quite severe pains in my ovaries. Then i was worried bc I didn't feel anything (like that at the moment) plus bc my boobs were never that tender and have now totally stopped. Still feeling a bit icky but only with some foods but am feeling very tired. So please do not worry. I do however know that those first few weeks go very slowly so my advice is; rest when you need to, do not panick at every little pain or twinge, try and enjoy it and eat lots of good healthy food now while you can bc very shortly you will be feeling icky and probably only eat cr*p if you're anything like me. Stay on this thread as well (I have) and let us know how you get on. xxx

littlemissdaisy · 21/04/2008 13:52

Thanks Pink I wish I could go to sleep now and wake up on the 12th June when the first 12 weeks will be over, how far ar you?? Did you have any spotting????

Pinkali37 · 21/04/2008 13:55

I am 10 + 4 today. Have my 3rd scan on Wed. I had strange stuff at the beginning. Also when next period was due I had a strange substance come out

Brown is kind of ok. Fresh red is not! You could just be having implantation yuk?? I didn't have any implantation bleed.

pootleflump · 21/04/2008 16:19

Hi Pink and lmd, I know exactly what you mean about not being able to enjoy it- it's hard to find out so early and have so long to wait for scans.

I'm speaking to my gyne tomorrow to hopefully arrange an 8 week scan and I'll hope have them quite regular from there. My last baby had a non-survivable condition which could have been picked up at the 12 week scan but was missed and noticed at the 20 week. At that stage I felt too far gone to take any action so went to term.

I'm extra worried because as well as the odds increasing because of a previous birth defect, clomid apparently increases the chances of defects as well .

Re: the other thread, I've only added my name to the list but not really taken part and it's huge over there already so I'll be hanging about here as well .

pootleflump · 21/04/2008 16:24

oh, and lmd I forgot to say- I've never had any spotting myself but have a couple of friends who spotted through most of the first trimester. Like Pink says, I'm sure it's ok when it's brown just not good if red.

Pinkali37 · 21/04/2008 16:25

Pootleflump, No one has ever told me that Clomid increases your chances of defect?!?! I really woudl try not to hang on to that fact. Firstly, enjoy the fact you are pregnant. I found out at 3 wk 3 days and it seems to have taken forever to get to this stage but voila I have! I kept thinking to myself that once i had the 8 wk 4 day scan i would relax and try to enjoy but I get myself worked up for every scan and my one on wednesday I seem to think it is all over. GOD KNOWS WHY

DungunGirl · 22/04/2008 08:32

CONGRATS LMD! Just read the posts. Wonderful wonderful news.

littlemissdaisy · 22/04/2008 09:06

Hi, Well my wonderful news was not long lived, the spotting I had turned into full blown heavy bleeding overnight this is the third time this has happened to me, I am waiting for the fertility unit to ring me, there must be something that can be done, my problem obviously isn't getting preganant, its staying pregnant. I am now going to start my third round of clomid and go from there.

Pinkali37 · 22/04/2008 09:13

Littlemissdaisy - I am so terribly sorry. What sad news. Fingers crossed for 3rd course of clomid. Someone told me that only poorly BEANS do not hang around and like I said to Duncangirl, we want you to have a healthy baby! I wish you all the luck in the world. xxx

DungunGirl · 22/04/2008 09:47

LMD

I am so sorry to hear your news. I too had an early miscarriage just 2-3 weeks ago. I was knocking on 7 weeks when it happened.

The more I think about it and read...the more I think my progesterone levels may have been too low. Did you get any bloods done to check?

I didn't and nobody suggested it!

BUT....after remembering my round of bloods done before i was referred to the fertility unit, I remember I had rather low progesterone levels.

As this is the hormone that sustains the pregnancy until the placenta takes over around week 12...it may be worth asking!

I am so sorry for your loss...at least now you have had 3 mc, they will take you seriously and you will be monitored every step of the way for your next pregnancy.

Someone at work had 3 mc's and she now has 2 appointments every week to check all is as it should be.

I just think it is so bad that we have to go through the torment of 3 mc before monitoring.

Pinkali37 · 22/04/2008 10:04

I AGREE DUNCANGIRL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pinkali37 · 22/04/2008 11:47

lmd, I'm so sorry to hear your news . I really hope your consultant can do something to sustain your next pg.

Nandos, thanks for the welcome to Dec thread. Having already seen a couple of mc's there I think I'll hang back a bit until I've had a scan.

Pinkali37 · 23/04/2008 09:02

Hi All,

Nandos - nice to see you back, and hope you had a lovely time. (Can't remember, have you had a scan yet?). I am 10 + 6 today and am going for my official dating scan at 11.45. Am soooo nervous as a lot of my symptoms have subsided, well I say that but my boobs are still veiny and I get funny with some foods and need a sleep from 4pm - 7pm most days. I suppose what i mean is my boobs don't hurt and haven't for a couple of weeks now. I had a scan at 8 + 4 and all was ok, but I worry that something has happened since then! I will let you know on my return. If its bad news it may be sometime this evening but if PEA is still there and happy I will get on the computer asap. I haven't got any sort of bump (other than a small i'm pregnant can eat what I want bump), tummy doesn't feel any different. Is this your first or second??

nandos · 23/04/2008 11:21

Hi everyone,
