Thanks Dungungirl, i'll have to get myself to the docs then (although i do still have some Clomid left from last time that is in date til 2009 )

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 12:49

Hi Phoenix - I really don't know why they would put you through all the tests again. You've had it once and you have been ttc for over 2 years, surely that is explanation enough. Fight for it. History is evidence enough. Hope you manage to get it, although if I were you i'd use the ones you have and also ask for some more (just in case)

Out of interest...when you took your first course of Clomid, did your GP perscribe? Were you monitored while you were on it?

Phoenix · 15/04/2008 14:42

No DungunGirl, we were under a consultant at Sheffield hospital 1st time and he prescribed it. I was monitored but can't remember how long for think it was only 1 or 2 cycles

pootleflump · 15/04/2008 16:11

Dungungirl, I didn't have PCOS - I just stopped ovulating suddenly.

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 16:15

I got Clomid and I don't really know why because i'd had blood tests before that said I did ovulate but not particularly well. So all very confusing. But hey it worked so i'm pleased.

littlemissdaisy · 16/04/2008 09:52

Hi Pootleflump, Congratulations did you have any symptoms, what day did you test on I am CD 28 and desperate to test, I have eratic cycles with anverage of 33 days so I don't want to test to early

pootleflump · 16/04/2008 11:38

Hi littlemissdaisy, I tested on CD26 and got BFN but had no symptoms anyway. I got my BFP on CD34 and the only reason I tested was because I was supposed to be having an xray at the dentist yesterday so thought I'd better make sure.

Looking back, the only symptoms I had were: no spotting - usually I spot for a good 6 days before period; some erotic dreams that's a sure sign of pg for me!

Hope you get yours this month. I have a clearblue digital pg test left over, if you'd like me to send it to you just CAT me your address. xx

Was wondering... once you fell pregnant on clomid, did the hospital check you bloods regularly to make sure that progesterone etc was where it should be?

I keep feeling that I had my miscarriage because of falling levels of progesterone and that maybe if they had checked my blood levels that the pregnancy maybe could have been saved.

Considering 3 days before the heavy bleeding started they checked my pregnancy hormone level and it was within range for 6 weeks, why then did 3 days later it all go west?

I am starting to think they just didn't take it seriously...

DungunGirl · 16/04/2008 12:43

Sorry...forgot to say that I have come to this conclusion as my pregesterone levels have always showed up a little low on my blood tests. One month it was SUPER low!

Ash80 · 16/04/2008 12:57

hi dungungirl, I am 7 weeks pregnant and due to previous miscarriages, PCOS, and slight bleeding during this preganacy. I have been prescribton (a medication called Duphaston, which apparently ensures a high level of progesterone during the first 12 weeks.

So when you next pregnant, which should be real soon ask about this, it may help if you have low levels

Duncangirl - Hi. No they didn't. with my first and hopefully only mc my progesterone level was low. My very good consultant informed me that the low level did NOT cause the mc it was merely indicative of it. Does that make sense? When I saw him when I first found out i was prg this time, i was really worrying thinking that i was susceptable to low progesterone but he told me the above info. I asked anyway about progesterone supplements (up and down if that makes sense) he told me that there is no evidence they work and very often are only given to people to almost shut them up. Does that makes sense. He said they are very common in USA (as they pay for their treatment). I have been through exactly what you are going through. But remember any more questions just ask... xxxx

supersteph · 16/04/2008 14:40

Hi all,

My temp was 36.68 this am so now I know I ovulated yesterday. I am 2dpo. I am really hoping this will b our month. xx

DungunGirl · 16/04/2008 15:15

Thanks Ash and Pink.

Will keep all that in mind for the next time round!
Feels like forever waiting for one cycle to pass after the miscarriage.

I want to get on with it now and get back to TTC!!!!!

Pinkali37 · 16/04/2008 15:40

Duncangirl - Please stay positive and bonk like rabbits! hee hee...

I am still worried as just do not feel pregnant. Not that i have other than feeling really rough but now most symptoms have gone. No sore boobs or anything other than a bit of feeling dodgy with certain foods.

Pinkali37 · 16/04/2008 15:41

P.S Supersteph - FINGERS CROSSED xxx

supersteph · 16/04/2008 19:41

Thanks pink.

Dungungirl just as pink said keep that head up high and your b fine.

As I always believe what is meant to happen, happens regardless.

That is what got me over my M/C last August.

Keeping possitive can only make things better.

xxxxx

gem2mum · 17/04/2008 10:10

Hi all

Been away for a week so its good to log back on and see some good news! Congrats pootleflump! I tested today on CD27 and got a BFN Probably should have waited a bit longer since my cycles can go up to 34 days but didnt use ovulation sticks so have no idea when i might have ovulated. Oh well, maybe month 2 of clomid will do the trick...

DungunGirl · 17/04/2008 10:12

Thanks guys. It is so good to have good support from you all. I will try to keep positive.

Supersteph...got my fingers crossed for you!

Pink - HOw many weeks are you again? Most people say that once you are close to or hit the 12th week many symptoms dissappear anyway. YOu are probably one of the lucky ones and have escaped really bad symptoms!

pootleflump · 18/04/2008 08:19

gem2mum, CD27 is still quite early to test- I wouldn't give up hope yet. Good luck .

Pinkali37 · 18/04/2008 11:43

Hi Duncangirl - I'm 10 wk 1 day. Am just so worried. Another lady on the Nov thread has had a MMC. I was only discussing with her the other day how neither of us have any symptoms. Well I keep saying that but I do still feel funny with food and am tired so I suppose they are kind of symptoms. It was Purlease, i feel so sorry for her. She started spotting but then had a scan adn the baby had died at 8 weeks.

gem2mum · 18/04/2008 21:54

Pinkali, I think your symptoms sound ok. With my first two I felt like that but with my third (I mc at 10 weeks) I had stopped feeling anything at all from about 6 and I mean I felt absolutely nothing - no tiredness or nausea or sore boobs or strong sense of smell.
Thanks Pootleflump, I did hold some hope but just got AF today so feel a bit down now. Had a lot of hope for my first month of clomid...Oh well, I know I'm pushing it age wise so I guess I must be more patient.

littlemissdaisy · 19/04/2008 12:57

OMG BFP Day 31 second cycle of clomid, can't beleive, its real!

viksam · 19/04/2008 13:36

Hi guys,
i have been away for two weeks on holiday, but have just sat and had a giant catch up with all the news.
pootleflump congrats its great news!! How are u feeling? remind me how far into clomid taking were u?
I had AF on holiday after my first round of clomid, so have just finished my second round. I could tell it was coming but still held out hope till the end. I was ok with it mentally untill the next day when i was watching this really lovely mother and son having lots of fun in the pool and like an idiot i cried, right there by the pool! What a plonker, my DH didnt know why i was upset and i didnt really want to say because i think he thinks i am way to stressed about it already. Im ok now and looking forward to a new month/new chance and lots of bding!!
Hope everyone else is ok!
