Hi Poppy, hope the clomid works for you. I'm only on my first cycle of it - pretty sure I'm not pg but just wish AF would hurry up and come so I can get on with my next attempt!

What monitoring are you having whilst taking it?

nandos · 13/04/2008 09:54

hello everyone
hope u guys are doing well..
i havent been here lately, been on the Dec thread in the antenatal section. i got a little worried after some pains in my abdomen but its all well today and the ladies there reassured me that its all normal..
pinkali, where r u? hope u r ok..

Pinkali37 · 14/04/2008 09:05

HI All,

Poppy - YEP i am 9 wk 4 days pregnant after my third round of 50mg clomid!!! It does work !!!!!! Good Luck with yours.

Hi nandos, Haven't been on since last wednesday. Pleased all is well with you and BEAN. I went through the same things. Had a pain and freaked something was wrong. I am now at the stage of I don't feel pregnant as I don't feel anything and I'm still freaking. Boobs don't even feel tender anymore. Still large with blue veins (sorry for tmi) but just not hurting. I keep having to remind myself that everyone is different! Have my dating scan 3 weeks on wed when i will be nearly 13 weeks. Every scan is scary (until you see the heartbeat).

xx

Pinkali37 · 14/04/2008 13:23

supersteph · 14/04/2008 13:42

Thanks littlemissdaisy, I will take your advise. Good luck to you and let us know asap. When are you planing to test?

littlemissdaisy · 14/04/2008 14:37

Supersteph - I am going to try and wait until Sunday which will be CD 32. Seems like ages away [SAD]

supersteph · 14/04/2008 15:48

That will b 17 days past ovulation. You should get a strong positive if all is well. I wish you lots of luck and baby dust coming your way. xx

supersteph · 14/04/2008 15:52

Littlemissdaisy did you do ovulation tests? If not what signs did you get that indicated ovulation?

littlemissdaisy · 14/04/2008 16:00

Hi,Yeah I do I use the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Kit, you get a little smiley face when you have an LH surge, also when I had my scan the fertility nurse said it looked like I would ovulate in the next couple of days, don't know how she knew that, I always come away asking I had asked more questions, what do you do????

DungunGirl · 15/04/2008 09:15

nandos pinkali

Glad to hear you both are well and as is progressing nicely.

pootleflump · 15/04/2008 10:40

OMG I just got a BFP!!!!!! I can't believe it. DD is insisting she only wants a sister .

That's been 18 months of ttc and the first cycle of clomid has done it.

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 11:02

OH MY GOD THAT'S BRILLIANT NEWS!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS.... so how far are you then? Come on start talking in weeks

pootleflump · 15/04/2008 11:04

Thanks Pinkali, I'm only 4 weeks - can't wait to get past this trimester.

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 11:17

Oh it's such happy news when people have been ttc for so long. I found out at 3 wk 3 days and to get where I am now (9 wk 5 days) has taken FOREVER!

nandos · 15/04/2008 11:32

yayyyy pootleflump am soo happy for u..another success
thats soo cool after 1st cycle of clomid, just like me! its a big surprise what clomid can do after ttc for soo long

pinkali, i am approx 7weeks,4days today and i just wanna get past the critical stage of 5-10weeks...

Pinkali37 · 15/04/2008 11:39

I'm 10 wk on Thursday and having my scan next Wed (dating scan) managed to bring it forward as was worrying that most symptoms have gone. Although now by reading and asking a few People this can be normal at my stage as hormone levels are settling down. I always thought it was the 12 week spot when things calmed down but apparently a but before. Oh it's all so confusing.

DungunGirl · 15/04/2008 11:50

Congrats Pootleflump!

Did you have PCOS? Or did they put on clomid as a matter of routine due to long time TTC?

CONGRATULATIONS! Now just take care of yourself! Please please please.

supersteph · 15/04/2008 11:57

A BIG CONGRATS. So happy for you pootleflump. These past few weeks we have had a few BFP. that gives us all hope for more BFP. Take it easy for a few weeks now. Good excuse to relax.

xx

Phoenix · 15/04/2008 12:05

Hi

I haven't read the whole thread cos its so long

I have PCOS and took Clomid to concieve my ds. It worked on the 4th cycle. Ds is now 2.2. I'm not having regular periods and we have used no contraception since ds was born so there is obviously still a problem. Now i'm getting to the stage where i really want another baby, has anyone been prescribed Clomid for dc2 from GP without having to go through loads of test etc. again?

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 12:09

Hi, Im going to see the cons on monday to start on clomid next cycle, im really excited about it. can i just ask about the mood swings, dh is worried

DungunGirl · 15/04/2008 12:40

phoenix

I've been referred to specialist care by my GP for PCOS (first time for me though as my DS was conceived naturally before PCOS! )

The consultant told me that every time you need help unfortunately you have to go through the same route of tests and referrel.

May be different for you...don't know....GP's vary so much in willingness to perscribe themselves!

ONe or two ladies on this thread had their GP's perscribe Clomid without having to jump through the hoops to get it persribed my a specialist, so it really depends on you GP.

DungunGirl · 15/04/2008 12:41

sorry typing is bad today...missed a few 'r's and 'g's here and there!
