TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME AND REALLY EXCITED AND SCARED!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND WITH NO LUCK AND AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID THE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED ME WITH CLOMID!!!
I TOOK MY PERIOD ON 23RD DEC AND TOOK IT DAY 1 _ 5 I AM DUE TO GET MY BLOODS TAKEN ON 11TH THEN 23RD IS BIG TEST DAY!!!
I HAVE READ SO MANY SUCCESS STORIES BUT I CANT HELP FEELING NEGITIVE AS I DONT WANT TO GET LET DOWN !!!

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUPPORT OR ADVICE OR FEELING THE SAME??

Went to the doc to get hubby's swimmers results. Low motility [shocked]. they r supposed to analyse the result within 2 hours but instead did it after 4hours. Sperm count is good though and i tried to get a female doc's appt but apparently all days are fully booked.
now at CD34. AF 3 days late and im really not sure if im preg or not!

Can you not take a Clear Blue Digital test? that can detect up to 4 days early and it did for me!

You must be a lot more patient then me Nandos. I would be testing every other day. I think you should get a early detection test like pink said and test first urine of the day to be sure you get the best result.

I always have plenty of cheap tests availible for me to do when I feel I need to test. When I get my BFP I will buy a clear blue digital.

Well, alright then.

For all those who asked my 21 day test showed a 38! without clomid so what that means i have no idea, having a hsg (think thats what its called) this afternoon to check whether my tubes are clear or not. Hubby swimmers being tested on Monday (He is not chuffed in the slighest as you can imagine), then on monday lunch time got to ring the fertility nurse to arrange a new appointment to get all the other results, think will insist on clomid then!!! i will be waiting another 18 months i think unless i push for it and i cant be waiting that long!!!

My bladder pains when it is full,cramping in lower abdomen, constipation and bloating too.
Yes its my first round of clomid and since u wanted to know supersteph -TMI- we bd continuously for 4-5days during ovulation and put my legs up after that . before and after ovulation bd every 3-4 days.
This time not as much symptoms as when i was preg in 2005 n m/c after 6 wks. that time had massive headaches,vomiting n very strong sense of smell that i couldnt put anything in my mouth.
im still in shocked! finally after 2 1/2 yrs im pregnant with #1 today would be exactly 35 days(5weeks) from my last period..

oh you will laugh at this girls everyone keeps telling me to just think about something else!!!!(have they ever tried to get pregnant or is it only me that it takes over your life?) so we are putting our house up for sale to keep my mind occupied on something else!! cant believe it really its a really expensive way to take my mind off it but fingers crossed it works hey!
Dungungirl do u still go to the gym now your pregnant or have they advised against it? and they month you caught did you bd everynight? sorry if too many questions x

Thanks for repling to my questions. what CD did you ovulate on? Today is CD 10 and my ovulation test still says negitive. Could that still be a bit to early as you normaly ovulate 36hours after ++ ovulation test. That would make it CD 12?

I stopped going to the gym this week as I went on Tuesday and since then I have been having brown discharge ( sorry TMI! ) and have scared myself!

I think I am going to take it easy for a while and see what happens!

Ovulated on CD16. It has always been mid-cycle for me. the clomid didnt affect my ovulation date or my CM.

nandos How ace is ur news!!! How do you really feel. How did you tell ur DH, did he know all the way through or did you tell him this morning? I have had loads of fantasies about how i would handle telling everyone. I know i would blart big time telling my folks.
I have never used an ovulation predictor, they say clomid can mess it up, i go on holiday on CD16 and will be in Egypt for two weeks, its a shitty two weeks to go on an all inclusive holiday isnt it!!!No taking advantage of the free running booze for me then!!

Hi viksam, nice to see u hopefully when u come back from the holidays u will be pregnant n shocked like me
i told hubby ' dear, im pregnant' at 5.30am yesterday after going to the bathroom and he was like 'huh?' and a few seconds later he screamed 'yayyy!' lol..takes a while to sink in isnt it? i still havent got a doc's appt but will do soon. actually feeling slightly sickly by the day..sneezing,blocked nose,sore throat n stuff..

Me and dh got a treadmill yesterday. To try and get a bit fitter. I am hoping it will help take my mind of things aswell, as I have became obsesed with ttc.
I was wondering if when I become pregnant can I still use it?

supersteph, as long as u dont over-exercise, its ok. i went on a treadmill when i was 3-4
weeks pregnant n i didnt know that time so i was like running a marathon (2-3km) each time . luckily nothing bad happened..
im on the skinny side but i thought by exercising, i could eat more after burning calories..and also to get fit..
now i stopped running but just did some walking instead..

Hi all, I have my follicle scan tomorrow to see if this cycle is woking. I really hope it is but my ovulation sticks have all bin neg so far. I will proberly 'O'a bit later as I did last month. I will inform you all tomorow. Night all. xx

What absolutely fantastic news to read on a Monday morning !! CONGRATULATIONS nandos... Me too with the bladder thing. It really hurts when i think it is full and then when I go there just isn't anything there. I get cramping after i've been (do you too?).
