Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

OP posts:
RahRah1 · 15/01/2008 19:31

Ladylush - thats day 8ish of your LP. (sorry was a bit confusing)

Ready · 15/01/2008 20:03

oooh Selfridges, one of my favourites

RahRah1 · 15/01/2008 20:12

Hi there Ready... I have read your email... big Hugs...It makes me feel so sad that you feel so low, but your right, we all feel like it every sodding month when its obvious it has not happened. I will email you back ASAP....

They have a champagne bar and an ice cream parlor in the Selfridge in Birmingham...Lets indulge!

RahRah1 · 15/01/2008 20:14

Plus do I get brownie points for remembering your cosmetics brand!

Ready · 15/01/2008 20:45

You most certainly do get brownie points for remembering Rah, you really are an angel. I hope with all my heart that you get a bfp with this shot at the IUI. xxxx

Ready · 15/01/2008 21:35

Right, now time to catch up with this thread properly

Rah, you already know what I think about you being back online, but I will say it again ? YAY!! When can you officially test? Fingers and toes crossed PMSL at you saying that ladylush is posh

Rattling, I am so pleased you are back. Of course I am sorry to hear of a funding crisis at work, but if it means that you can chat more on here, then I am all for it ? did you get your cats?? . Am I right in thinking that you had an HSG appointment this month? Fingers crossed for it, sweets Sounds like you had a lovely NY, bless your dh for his resolution. and by the way thank you for channelling your optimism my way (and Rah?s)

Ladylush, for me, the coverline can vary each month (not massively, normally) ? but when I was charting, I would draw my coverline once there were 3 temps 2 degrees C higher than the previous 6 (if that makes sense?) ? are you using fertilityfriend?

Minxi, how are you babe? What happens after a peak on the monitor? Does it tail off? Or just go from peak to nothing? Curious about it, I might be tempted to get one ? if you think they are worth the investment. I thought we were on the same cycle? Number 17?

Nappy, how are you doing? You feeling a bit better? How?s the new business going? Hard work I guess, I presume that is why you haven?t been around. You are right, I need more practise at this drinking malarkey I am a total light-weight

FP, I tried opk?s for two months, and the first month was a disaster, I stopped testing too soon, and the second month I ran out of OPKs and ovulated later than normal. So if I was going to do it again then I would probably bulk buy and test 4-5 times a day. I know it sounds excessive, but I have heard that people can miss their surge through only testing at a certain point in the day.

FYM, How?s it going?

Rainbowdays, thank you so much for popping in to see how we are doing. It?s lovely to hear from you. Hope all is well, and the time is flying by for you. Thinking of you.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hope everyone is just grand.

NappyValley · 15/01/2008 21:58

Hi girls sorry been a bit flaky. But soo good to see rah back on line and welcome back rattling , welling up at supportive DH. Got get that egg.

ready sorry to hear you are down, sometimes it does all get too much and you feel your heart will just break with all the grief. BUt remember there are good days too.

OK so I might have exaggerated the amount I drink, as I too am a total light weight. But I am a little and often! That night I managed half a bottle and no hangover. It was lovely wine I was sent for my birthday. So good I am going to plug the shop (are we allowed to do that?) [www.therealwineco.co.uk great wine from here]

Life is pottering along, business growing etc and toddler deciding that 6am really is the time to get up is not going down well with him or me!!

Thanks for all the top tips on short LP. Caffine did make a difference to my EWCM and I have been slipping in a bit extra. Might try and cut out all together this cycle.

probably going on clomid next cycle it looks like.

OK time for sleep.

NappyValley · 15/01/2008 21:59

bother meant to press preview not post!!

try great wine from here

NappyValley · 15/01/2008 22:00

oh and double triple grrr about the rain.

Ready · 15/01/2008 22:19

OK I don't really think about what is good wine. Not sure I would know to taste it either. I like white wine, and rosé, and I always get the Gallo wines. Chenin Blanc, or the Zinfandel. Are they good?

Ready · 15/01/2008 22:21

Chenin Blanc

Ready · 15/01/2008 22:22

www.gallofamily.co.uk/thewines/gfv/whitezinfandel.htmlZinfandel

Ready · 15/01/2008 22:23

oops Zinfandel

Ready · 15/01/2008 22:26

and I've had this Grenache a few times before

They all taste lovely

Flum · 16/01/2008 00:17

I'm not in the same league as you guys only just started trying and already have two dds.

However as first month trying and then having a wobbler a week or so ago about not being able to cope with a third, am now totally obsessing about could I be /couldn't i be this month.

What does LP mean?

CD23 (Jan 15th now isn't it eh!)

I'm due on on from 22nd so only a week or so to wait to find out and that might be the end of it as DH not as keen as me.

Practically another baby would be bonkers. But you know I reeeeeeallly want one. I just do. Course I do, we all do.

ladylush · 16/01/2008 08:53

Welcome Flum I didn't know about LP before either - it's luteal phase, which is the phase between ovulation and your period.

PMSL too at Rah's "bet you are posh" I'm soooooo not. South London girl me To tell you the truth, that previous nickname was a bit tongue in cheek

Thanks Rah and Ready for info on temp rises. I was 36.2 today, same as yesterday, previous was 36.1 so a wee bit of a pattern. I suppose I should be looking for a rise around day 12-14 ish. That's if my body is going to behave this month. I didn't ovulate last month and I had two periods

NappyValley · 16/01/2008 09:01

Welcome Flum. What age are your other 2? I really do believe if it is meant to be ....(although I am not against using the medical profession to increase your chances!! )

LadyLush - well you MUST be posh unless you are from Catford!! It is all up and coming round there (says the girl who grew up in Reigate, Surrey)

DS up at 6.20 this morning so no temping here!

ladylush · 16/01/2008 09:09

Ooh get you and Reigate Now you must be posh Nappy - tis only the people who move to South London who are posh. The ones who were born and bred there are common as muck ROFL about Catford - I actually did live there for 4 years My favourite landmark was the big black cat on top of the Catford Broadway shopping centre - and am overjoyed that I get to drive past it each day on my way to work. It's such a nostalgic moment

Ready · 16/01/2008 09:41

Ladylush, 2 periods, boooo. Are your cycles usually 28 days long? If they are longer or shorter then you will be looking for ovulation at possibly another time than 12-14. Sorry if you already know that - I'd say if your temp stays roughly around 36.2° then I reckon once you get 3 temps of 36.4° then you could draw in your coverline.

NappyValley - chuckling away at your ds playing alarm clock, and preventing temping

Flum - Welcome to thread, we're all in the same league, you are most welcome 3 babies would be excellent.

How's everyone doing?

ladylush · 16/01/2008 09:43

Ready it was previously about 28 days, give or take a couple of days. I started Thyroxine in December and I think it (or the underactive Thyroid) has interfered with my cycle.

ladylush · 16/01/2008 09:54

Yes, I hope they rise cos that will mean I might be ovulating. I'm going to use opks as well.

Morning girls....

ooh Rah champagne bar sounds loverley Used to meet nct mums weekly with our first babies in HA HA in Windsor for lunch, mass baby feeding and a glass of wine !! That was a few years ago now

Ready just didn't update the earlier info correctly...got confused am on cycle 18 - since periods got back to normal - otherwise would be 36th cycle since depo jab but I just go from when I think my body returned to some normality!!! if it ever has or was Hope you are feeling okay - any signs good or bad ? thinking of you

Nappy All sounds lovely will check out that wine website although probably best not as wine drinking is far too tempting at the mo as can't seem to get pg! drowning sorrows and all that... hopefully clomid will be successful for you

LadyLush hope you ovulate soon - frustrating as it is...

flum welcome to our thread

Not feeling too optimistic this month despite the peak and timed bd...although I did eat and eat and eat yesterday couldn't stop - anything and everything, haven't eaten a thing today yet... how weird! Must get some housework done!!!
