Well, here I am at the back of the bus again ... AF arrived this morning!

FYM laughed at your post re DH!!! Am also making similar demands - increased vits, no seat heater in car, absolutely no laptop in vicinity of swimmers ... threatened to send him flowers to work at the first sign of disobedience! No mercy etc.

Will catch up properly later!!

ClairLesley · 28/02/2008 19:07

Sorkycake and Herbgarden ... welcome!! Hope this thread is lucky for you and you both get your BFPs soon!!

Herbgarden ... if you've seen EWCM, I'd get busy if you haven't already I've only been charting a month and always thought I ov'd on CD14 (28 day cycle) but this last cycle all the signs - EWCM,temps, & OPKs - showed I ov'd on CD16 ... so you may ovulate yet! Good luck

bit of a er from the zita west book - for women aged 20-30.

Frequency of BD............Delay in months to conception
Once_per month..............43 months
3 per month....................15 months
10 times per month...........5 months
15 Times per month .... 3 1/2 months

Now we're ok ish in this department but there is NO WAY we hit 15 times a month!!! in fact counting it was 9 last month and 13 the month before (first month of trying so enthusiasm reigned )

She's making a big point about ~o quality being better with more frequency and people being more relaxed!!!

ClairLesley · 28/02/2008 20:12

Holy crap FYM!!! Zita/Vita needs to stick to her lady gardening ... 15 times per month?!?! Doubt if we managed those stats when we were dating Even 10 times per month is a stretch for me . Does she publish figures for women over 30? Never mind, ignorance is bliss

herbgarden · 28/02/2008 20:31

That's it, we're never having no 2 in a millon years ............43 months, heavens. Dh is laid up on the sofa with a suspected stomach ulcer - the last thing he is up for is bding. Great....better luck next month !

fym · 28/02/2008 20:47

I'm just hoping that with our impeccable temping/timing we get a bit of upside to these figures!!! although I guess I lose points for being over 30....

ah well here's to accepting that our christmas babies arrive on time in 2011

ClairLesley · 28/02/2008 21:21

Oh my ... can you imagine 43 x 2WWs??? I would be a complete basketcase by then You make an excellent point FYM our well-timed, OPK-d, CM-monitored, and diligently-temped efforts have to stand for something!! Maybe bring it down to 42 months?? My American DH would like that ... a Thanksgiving 2011 baby

Hi all sorry been so quiet recently just totally stressed and have been busy on a shagathon - although we will never reach fyms dizzy heights. I think we managed 6 times which was bloody good going for us. 1 aborted attempt that got us both a bit upset, but hey ho.

Got really hormonal during OV, maybe it is the clomid? Still what is done is done and hopefully the final outcome will be a better LP this cycle.

I know this sounds wierd, but we have been plodding along TTC for so long now, that I am actually a bit scared of actually getting BFP (putting aside the fact that last time I got a C- in pregnancy and a D+ in birth) It will totally change our family. For the better I hope.

got to go it is time 4 bed.

twinklingfairy · 28/02/2008 23:52

Wow, those are tall orders on the BD front.
DH and I may be here some time
Had another friend say, perhaps you should stop trying but on the BD front if we weren't trying we would be hard pressed to get pregnant with our lazy lack on procreational BDWhy is it so embarrassing to say that we, on average, manage it 2 or 3 times a month if not for ttc? Thats one a week then AF week, who has time or energy for more? If we were to stop trying we would defo be a lot longer in getting our BFP. Why am I looked at strangly when I say that?

Having got over the at those figures I read more!

Most of her philosophy is about getting couples to relax and enjoy TTC and spending time with each other....Eating well, no alcohol, targeting the right vitamins etc.

I'd forgotton most of this from TTc the first time.

I really think we'd benefit from working less in the evenings. Fortunately neither of us commutes far.

I also have to confess since we've dramatically reduced the alcohol consumption the BD'ing has gone up....

Zita may have a point.....

Bloody hell - we only managed it three times this month - no wonder it is taking soooo long!! But that was circumstance - supposed to be right timing whilst on hols but still didn' work out that way!! There is no hope for me
Although must say when I conceived my first ds it was on honeymoon and we said we would try to have sex 50 times during the 3 weeks - which we didn't come far off and obviously worked!! The second ds managed about twice without thinking about it (after 11 months trying) and hey ho.... this time round this planning is taking for ever to try for - perhaps we need to take our vows again - and second honeymoon..

Nappy nice to hear from you - I have had those aborted attempts before and they are a bit weird! Hope you are okay though along with the clomid...

Lottie we manage to get away with more shagging in the morning as less tired and kind of sleepy sex - which is kind nice too (although don't look at my stats for this month)!!

Must dash - hey to everyone, have a lovely Friday....

Mine is different every month according to FF.
But I guess 36.53 is about average for me, this month, I would draw the line just below 36.5 from looking at my chart.
I guess I will just have to watch over the next few days.
It has dipped for a few days, yesterday was 36.42, up to 36.53 today.
I am just so impatient I want to know now, but have stopped the opks, trying to be more relaxed
Well, that didn't work then

hana there was some stuff along the line of .... if you don't have sex often the ~o ~o ~o get all squashed up together and can't move properly when the magic time comes. So she was saying you are better having lots of sex...

I'll have to have a closer read tonight to get all the details.

this is the book if anyone's interested - I have skim read it a bit as I wanted more to remind myself of the things I have forgotten since last time rather than read it fully IYSWIM

ZITA WEST BOOK

she also has a website and does consultations by the look of it, claims to get loads of women PG naturally where they are having difficulties.... no experience at all of this but may help someone on here!
