Hi all,

Minxi - Thought I'd do what you said and start a new thread for 2008 (even though we have got a few days to go). Sorry to hear about AF but pleased your staying positive definately get reflexology going its worked wonders for me

Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

OP posts:
Ready · 14/02/2008 16:55

What the hell? I leave you alone for 5 minutes and what happens? Peggy the panda and Shaggy the Rabbit

First things first? Emmsy, big congratulations to you!! Fingers crossed for a sticky one for you! Stay as long as you like How are you feeling? Officially, I should tell you off for testing at 9dpo ? but when the result is the right one, I can?t really can I?

Minxi, Hope you bought lots of lovely things for your holiday ? do share some links with us won?t you ? so we can all be nosy . How did you

FP, I have looked at your chart, and I personally think you ovulated later than FF says, your temps are not easy to read, but coupled with the + opks, I would suggest that ovulation occurred on CD13 (sorry if this doesn?t make the timing right for you )? only your LP will be the judge!!
Lots of EWCM is a really good sign ? it?s a sign of fertility, and the sperm will last longer in that than any other CM Don?t ? !!
T?is a positive about your house, I know that it isn?t an offer, but fingers crossed that all the kitchens they see from now on are poo ? fingers crossed for you this Spring. are you moving to a new area? Or bigger house? Have you found a place you like? Don?t have to answer any of these Qs if you don?t want

Lottie, how cool ? I love that song

Sorry you had to attend a funeral this week and I am also sorry that you are feeling so perplexed about all this ttc business (hugs) you are not alone. My positivity is waning, I have started to say ?if? as opposed to ?when? now, when discussing children with dh. And I am totally with you on wanting that ?early days? excitement back ? I think back to the first 6 or so months, and I would lay there afterwards, feet up the wall, pillow under bum and think to myself how we may have just made a baby! Not anymore, I can?t even be bothered with the pillow Hang in there though ? we will get there! We have to!

Rah, so pleased that you intend to relax plenty without all the distraction of monitors and temps. Fingers crossed for you sweets

Rattling, fingers crossed for you that the virility paid off this month!!! Continue to be smug all you like! No one minds However, just thinking about twice in one night makes me feel tired

Nappy, pmsl at ?I?m finally pregnant ? get me out of here!? ? I wonder if I would turn feral the amount of time I would be stuck in that jungle! Hope you are right about being relaxed and it happening. Fingers crossed Loving your plan for this month ? go for it!!

ClairLesley, if you can I would say, yes, keep going until your temp rises ? but every 2-3 days should be enough if you have plenty of EWCM. Good luck

Fruitloop, most women?s temp drops as a sign of CD1 being not too far away. For me, that?s truly when I know the game is up ? I can?t kid myself when that happens!! As far as I understand it, a LP cannot be more than 18 days ? so not sure what to tell you really? Are you sure you are not pregnant? Fingers crossed you get sorted soon

hanaflower, orchidgirl, fym, ladylush - hope you are all well??

Right, I really must wrap this up now? so sorry if I have missed anyone out? there are just so many of us now, and I have been so busy that I have missed out on lots!

Emmsy - very interesting how your cycle seemed to suddenly change. I thought I might be ovulating early this month too as I got ewcm last two days, but no + opk yet.

FP - maybe a lucky month for you? Good thing about early ovulation is less time to wait to test

Emmsy1 · 14/02/2008 20:41

ladylush I drank way too much over christmas so that may have been why I 'O' so late last month, not sure why I 'O' so early this month though, could it have been the AD's that the doc prescribed for me on CD3?? I stopped taking them 2 nights ago. (or maybe its my age! (42)

Emmsy1 · 14/02/2008 20:45

ladylush are you testing once aday with opk's I have definately read somewhere that it's best to test twice aday to ensure you dont miss your surge. You will soon know if your temp rises, I hope you have been doing plenty of B/D ?

FurtivelyPosting · 14/02/2008 20:53

Evening all!

Ready - I totally agree with you. That's exactly what I thought; ovulation on CD13. Luckily, the BD sessions are timed much more preferably (with Ov on CD11, we did the deed the day of Ov and the day after and if Ov was on CD13, then we did the deed two days and one day before). With regard to the house move, we want to move to another area (from Staffordshire to Shropshire) and to a bigger house. We've found one - maybe two - that we really like and we're worried that we'll lose out on them before long. It's such a nuisance, the whole property thing.

Ladylush - I agree with you too! It is less time to wait, especially as the previous cycle was longer than usual. I hope it's a lucky month for all of us.

FurtivelyPosting · 14/02/2008 20:53

Oh, I meant to also say thanks for looking at my chart Ready and advising - you're such a star!

Morning all! How's everyone doing today? It's Friday - hurrah!

Guess what, Ready? After a temp rise this morning, FF changed my Ov date to.......CD13! Not a big surprise, eh? It does mean that I'm back to 3DPO and have to wait a couple of days longer to test etc but at least the Ov date seems to make sense now. Thanks for your comments on DS - I agree but then I am biased!

fym · 15/02/2008 09:03

Morning - just deciding whether to go swimming or to soft play area - life is fun with a 2 year old!!!

DS sends he loves looking at the smilies with me! Just updated my profile with a photo.

Ready/Lottie - do you have an idea of when you ov'd? Or are you not going to say? I'm going to have to look back to see if I can work it out.

FP/FYM - just checked out your kids . V.cute, the pair of them.

Only 6 hours to home time! (Had a very boring week)

Happy Friday everyone! Loved the photos of your boys FP & FYM ... what a cute bear coat!!

My temp went up this morning & I got a -ve OPK so I'm hoping that I ov'd yesterday. Not sure I BD'ed enough this cycle to hit the jackpot (shame we missed the deed on CD15) ... but at least I'm starting to understand my cycle a little better. If one of you temping pros would care to look at my chart to see if you agree, I'd be very grateful! Of course, there may not be enough data to tell yet ... but I'm anxious to see some sort of ovulation pattern

FurtivelyPosting · 15/02/2008 13:42

Clair - just had a quick look at your chart and I'm inclined to agree with you. I think you ovulated yesterday too. If you get high temps tomorrow and the day after, I reckon FF will note yesterday as your ovulation date too. Then you can note how many days post ovulation (DPO) you are in your stats and sit out the dreaded 2WW!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:47

Would someone have a look at my chart for me please? I'm on CD54 and I can't tell if it looks like AF's coming or not. I know there's not much to go by but is there a clue?

ClairLesley · 15/02/2008 14:03

Thank you so much FP ... it was very good of you to look . I'm glad you think yesterday was it too ... am so tired of BD'ing right now . Hopefully my temp will stay up the next couple of days!

FurtivelyPosting · 15/02/2008 14:29

Gah! I looked at your chart Fruity and posted a reply in the chart thread like a big loon! Here's what I said;

Hi Fruity. I had a quick look but I have to confess that I know very little about long cycles/charts or PCOS charts. All I can say is that a temperature drop is the best indicator that AF is on the way. Of course, every woman is different - for example, I don't get my temperature drop until CD1 and I've usually had a few days of spotting by then. Other women get a sudden drop the day before and others experience a gradual decline in temperature. All I can say is that I can't see a temperature drop on your chart yet. I'm sorry that I can't be any more helpful or that this probably isn't what you want to hear. Fingers crossed that your cycle becomes clearer very soon. Is it usual for you to have cycles this long? Has your GP given you any advice? Sorry if I'm being nosy - just tell me to push off if you'd rather not say!!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 14:34

Thanks FP Yes it's very normal for very long cycles. They range from 35-88 days so you can see why I'm being impatient!
Gp's referred me to Gynae at sub-fertility unit so I imagine I'll be poked and prodded for blood before anything helpful is done. Thaks for looking though x

greedygreedyguzzler · 15/02/2008 16:41
