Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

Rattling ... absolutely this new 'sport' would be televised. Believe Ant & Dec would make excellent commentators

Mascot for 2008 Babydancing Olympics = Peggy the Pregnancy Panda.

fym · 13/02/2008 21:36

Or Shaggy the rabbit?

Maybe Vita West could be invited to do a slot on the BD Olympics

ladylush · 13/02/2008 21:48

lol at the thread antics Just a quickie from me (no pun intended) as extremely knackered. Went to see Afrika Afrika yesterday and it was outstanding - got home really late though and had to be up at 6am. Just back from reflexology, had a hot bath and all ready for bed after catching Eastenders on bbc3 Hope everyone is doing ok. Will pop back in a mo with my temp

Hi all had loads of chuckles catching up on the thread this evening!
lol at the whole Olympics and can sooo picture Ant and Dec hosting it and all the bad one liner jokes they could do. Or maybe they should just put us all in the jungle so we would have to shag a lot to keep warm or out of boredom - "I am finally pregnant - get me out of here"

But then again looks like Emmsy is getting out. Hope it sticks and grows a good un.

Wow 14 left, I feel a few more BFPs are due. I love the way we are all encouraging one another in the shagathon stakes, after a few months of trying (or when you get bad test results) it is easy to just sit back and not try. So thanks for laying down the gauntlet.

We are taking things serious this month. was asked today if DH was going on all boys ski trip, but I looked at the calender and the date (in 2 wknds time) and promptly sadi NO he will not be going. I did not add "because he will be spending all weekend shagging me" (and yes by all weekend , I actually mean morning if we set the alarm clock really early, evening if we can managed ot stay awake and if we are really trying during DS naptime!!!!!!)

OK got to go to bed have bad chesty cough.

btw is one of the side effects of clomid dizzyness, as I a bit wobbly today!!.

ready thanks for update. glad tests were all good. When you are all settle and relaxed who knows.

fym glad I did not offend.

hope you don't mind, but I would like to stick around for awhile I,m way too scared to 'move out' especially since the last two pregnancies were M/C's.

I will continue to temp until I have at least 18 high temps I continued to temp with the last two pregnancies and the temps 'told me' I was going to M/C, they dropped to near my coverline at approx 6+ weeks, don't want to go through that again!

FYM Maybe Shaggy the BD Bunny & Peggy the Pregnancy Panda could be a sporting double act? They would look GREAT on all our merchandise: official BD Olympics t-shirts, pens, flags, umbrellas (for outdoors nookie), car tax disc holders (for vehicular nookie), BBT thermometers ... Naturally, dear old Vita West would take a major role in the proceedings. I'm thinking more ceremonial than commentatorial (Ant & Dec might be a little too brash for her, bless them!) ... I can picture her handing out the medals (BTW, Gold would come with a year's supply of her famous his'n'hers vitamins, Silver would come with 6 months supply, Bronze with 3 month's supply ... all other participants would be rewarded with a certificate and one vitamin only (they don't come cheap/grow on trees you know).

Nappy Way to go veto-ing ski trip ... that's forward planning for you!!! And I LOVE your 'Finally Pregnant - Get Me Out of Here' idea ... maybe it could be a whole self contained event with its own theme tune and everything - bit like the Winter Olympics?!?

Emmsy Understand completely. Maybe that babydust of yours will bring a few more BFPs unil you leave us for the October thread . BTW, what is the coverline? I'm new at temping and so don't know all the jargon yet. Is it the horizontal axis that separates the pre-ov & post-ov phases/temps ... only guessing!

God forgive me ... but I'm tired of BD'ing. I got a positive OPK yesterday so I'm hoping one BD tonight and one tomorrow ought to cover it. I should probably wait until my temp spikes before calling it quits, right?

ClairLesley · 14/02/2008 07:55

I meant 'one more BD tonight and one tomorrow night' ... when I read that sentence over it sounded like I was pinning all my hopes on two sessions!

Ladylush I just googled Afrika Afrika and watched a clip - looks amazing, no wonder you enjoyed it so much. I'll need to watch out for it travelling ...

Morning ladies
Nappy - apart from the dizziness, are you having any other side effects from the clomid? Hope it works for you this month. Loving the finally preg, get me out of here
Emmsy - fingers firmly crossed for you. How many high temps have you had so far?

ladylush · 14/02/2008 08:19

Clair - the show was amazing so do try and see it. We saw it at the o2 Arena but it is travelling all over, so hopefully will be somewhere near you. It's not that well publicised though, so you might need to check it out now and then.

Morning all! How's everyone today? Had a good at your posts yesterday! being back at work sucks big time; for one thing, I can't pop in and post as much as I'd like to and I keep missing out on all of the fun!

Emmsy - totally understand how you feel, I think I would be the same. Sending you lots of sticky vibes.

Ready - hiya! Bless you for remembering about my house escapades! No progress to report I'm afraid. The feedback we got from the estate agent was that the couple really liked our house and out of all the properties they'd viewed so far, it was their favourite. However, they felt that the kitchen wasn't quite big enough and so they're going to keep looking. If they don't find anything else that they like as much or more than our house, they'll come back for a second viewing. So basically, I'm not holding my breath! We decided to reduce the asking price by six grand, which makes it the second cheapest house of this type for sale in the area with the cheapest being one that needs loads and loads and loads of work doing to it. We reckon it's a bargain and as we're now heading into Spring (supposedly the time of year when people go a-house hunting), we hope to get some interest again soon.

Emmsy1 · 14/02/2008 09:15

clair you were spot on about the pre and post ovulation axis! I really hope my babydust does bring you all some luck!
ladylush I'll give you an update on this cycle, and abit of background:-

usually a 28-29 day cycle (very odd 30 day!)
last month I had a very long cycle 48 days, this was a 'first' for me, I 'O' on day 37?

This month (pregnancy)
CD 6 had some EW mixed in with last bits of AF (sorry about tmi)
CD 8 had a ++ LH Surge on an OPK
CD 10 Temp rose to 36.80 (indicating that I probably 'O' on CD 9!? (shortest cycle I have ever known)
CD 19 had my first +++ on hpt (have had 11 fairly high temps so far!)
my pre-ov temps were between 36.38 and 36.69
only B/D twice on CD8 at 9.00pm and CD9 at 10.00am.(I dont usually start testing with OPK's until approx CD10 or 11 so would have missed the egg if it wasn't for spotting the EW on CD6 and also from another lady on M/N (spink) she had just had a BFP and said she had 'o' early, thats why I tested with OPK! sorry if some of you find this a little too long and boring!x

I reckon that there must be something in the air, Emmsy. I had a longer than usual (for me) cycle last month and then was quite surprised in this current cycle to find EWCM appearing on CD8, the earliest I've ever had it. According to FF I ovulated on CD11, again the earliest I ever have. I've had lots more EWCM this time too than ever before (sorry if TMI! ). I just hope that I'll also have some good news to share in a week or so.

Afternoon ladies, nothing to report here except I wish my flippin AF would stop by soon so I can get on with next cycle! How can you tell if AF's about to arrive? Does temp drop or rise?
Sorry, only been doing it a week and can't be bothered to look through the 'lessons'

How is everyone today?

rattling · 14/02/2008 14:04

Fruitloop - temperature drop is a sign of impending AF usually (sometimes they coincide and you get no warning)

fruitloop79 · 14/02/2008 14:19

oh, well mine's obviously on her hols then cos my temp's decided to rise and no, unfortunately I'm not pg.
If I ov'd when OPK said I did then that was exactly 2 weeks ago today so if I haven't got a freak of nature body, AF should arrive anytime soon. My scan was two weeks ago this coming Monday and the lady said it looks like I have ov'd.
Can LP be much longer than two weeks?

Emmsy1 · 14/02/2008 16:54

hanaflower definately not a breakthrough bleed last month, I have been temping for 18 months, and I did about 10 hpt as well!
