Minxi, I so sorry that you you didn't get your +. Thinking of you (big hugs)

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.

Ok. Still waiting. I did test this morning, despite saying would wait til Wednesday. DH suggested I test this morning, anyway. BFN. I know it's not over until CD1, but realistically I know it's over. If it was pregnancy that was causing these cramps then there would be enough hormone to show on a test, so unfortunately looks like the game is up for me too. Oh well.

No smiley on opk yet Starting to feel like it's another annovulatory month. Can I just ask those of you in the know what time it is best to test with the opks. I'm using the clear blue digital ones (comes with 7 tests). I don't use fmu as I read that it's too concentrated and can give false postives. I tend to test at 2ish or evening.

Minxi - so sorry to hear it wasn't your month Ready - hopeful still for you. Rah - ditto.

Ready · 21/01/2008 18:07

FYM, wow, really impressed with your website. The jewellery is lovely, and so reasonable too!! The sight is easy to move around and the pictures are all really good.
I noticed a spelling error? on your solitaire section, when you hover and it gives the options of cut ? emerald is spelled emerand ? thought you would like to know
Do you create bespoke jewellery at all? It?s just that I was given an heir loom amethyst ring (stone is about the size of an almond) but it is set in yellow gold and set really high, so I can?t wear it. Thinking about possibly getting the stone set into a bespoke ring, but it might be too big, or as a pendant ? how easy would it be to do this? Sorry I have waffled haven?t I

Thanks for thinking of me girls ? it means a great deal to have your support.

How?s everyone doing this evening?

ladylush · 21/01/2008 18:17

fym - looked at your website and the jewellery looks lovely. Wish I had a rich dh Of course I am joking! I'm not an expert on these things and I liked the look of the site but I wasn't sure about your personal message where you sign off with the word "love". I found it innocuous and friendly but others might find it too informal iyswim. Also I was looking at the marquise diamond ring but there was no price. Hope you don't think I'm being too picky I am having to pay over £200 to get my wedding ring and engagement ring made bigger and one claw fixed. Does that sound about right in your opinion?

greedygreedyguzzler · 21/01/2008 20:36

oh oh oh!!!!! i was getting so excited as i read through this thread and then minxi - your af arrived and ready you got a bfn! crap crap crap!!!! so sorry girls......maybe its not all over for you yet ready............although like you said you would probably have got a bfp by this point in your cycle if your were pg. i was SO EXCITED for you all...in fact we all have been on the ttc graduate thread. i am crying now ............saddo that i am............... cos i remember so well what it is like ttc.

i will keep checking up on you all! i am not as much of a secret stalker as fettle (i would start to worry about her if i were you!) but i do check on ypou all from time to time

good luck all

rah...............im watching you!!

Bodkin · 21/01/2008 21:15

Hi Ready (and all the others on here who I don't know so well) Just popping in to give you a massive hug, whichever way things go for you. Aw shucks, dunno what else to say, but like Greedy, I'm welling up a bit cos I know how hard this must be for you and what a total mindf*ck TTC is!

freddiesyummymummy · 21/01/2008 22:57

Ready Thanks for looking and for the comments - Emerald should be fixed now! We've literally just launched the new version so any spelling mistakes gratefully received - Honest!!!

Happy to look at anything - just measure the stone roughly (height by width by depth) send me an email via the website and I can tell you what it will fit into - ring or pendant.

ladylush - thanks - I do appreciate you looking and also your comments - There should be prices on most things by the end of the month.

I can do repairs at my workshop - would have thought £100 max (probably a bit less) would be about right for this unless the claw is really badly broken. Please contact me via the website if you want me to have a look.

PS this honestly wasn't a sales pitch

RahRah1 · 22/01/2008 09:36

Morning all...

freddiesyummymummy - the website is great. Can I post a picture of my wedding ring. I've had a few problems with the settings and the diamonds keep falling out. I've had one replaced, but the colour seems to be different to the rest of the stones, so I was hoping to have that one taken out and moved to the side of the ring where it would not be noticed and the missing stone replaced. Could you have a look for me and give me your advice... Is it something you would do?

ladylush - In regards to OPK, (the ones you are using are the most expensive!!) they are really difficult, it took me months to get a positive and often they are fainter than the control line. Minxi and I have now got clearblue monitors and they have really helped as you test virtually everyday and the monitor reads the result for you, so it does not leave it to you to determine the result. I really trust my monitor and would recommend them over OPK. Minxi got hers off ebay, as they are £100 in boots and I got mine wholesale through my mum. I think we both paid about £60 ish....
When I was using just the OPK I ended ordering loads of cheapies off ebay and tested twice a day , because they are so much cheaper you can use as many as you want and not become as obsessed about it.. IYKWIM... (maybe thats just me, but I think I was actually delaying ovulation using them!)
Do you suffer from PCOS or PCO, as this can effect the readings.

Well still no AF from me, but a BFN and loads of cramps, so expecting AF any moment...
Called clinic, but still to busy to talk to me... so I give up!

Minxi and Ready... sending you both big hugs...

Hello to everyone else and hi to the graduates that popped in!

freddiesyummymummy · 22/01/2008 10:41

Temp 98.4 today CD21 6DPO (i think, I should have been temping on holiday!)

Any jewellery queries just email me via the website and I can quote for repairs, resetting etc. I know a very good setter who can redo diamonds.... send me a pic by email and I'll have a look - small diamonds like those usually in wedding rings (usually about 1mm) aren't all that expensive so you may find you can replace them both...

freddiesyummymummy · 22/01/2008 10:43

Bit of a shock - friend who was 20 weeks pg has just texted me, she's lost the baby....You always think you're safe when you go past 12 weeks don't you....

minxi · 22/01/2008 10:47

Rah I would get round that clinic and demand answers otherwise you wont leave!!!

Ready hope you are alright and its good news for you...where are yoU??

Hello and thank you to everyone else for your messages .................... I am fine today - felt a bit tearful and miserable yesterday, but have picked myself up again today ready for yet another go?! Have booked reflexology for this wednesday and will do again for next wednesday as before I know it I will be back to that mid month again....and have just booked 8 days away during Feb half term....to South Africa although the day I arrive af will be due so definitely have to try everything and more this month

If anyone wants or knows anyone who would like a reasonably priced break away check out my link for my property....might as well try might even be able to discount being mumsnetters!!

spain

RahRah1 · 22/01/2008 11:06

freddiesyummymummy - So very sorry to hear about your friend and her baby. I lost my baby at 24 weeks, a little boy. I know how heartbreaking it is and feel so bad someone else is going through that pain.
Is it a close friend?
Thanks for the info on my ring, I will take a picture and email you from your website.

Minxi - I love your apartment. When does it start getting warm enough to get a suntan and relax comfortably outside?
It sleeps 6, so maybe we could get 3 mn couples together .... I wonder how much BD will be going on??????

Right the clinic have called back and I've made a plea that I don't think the natural cycles are viable for me and that I think stimulated cycles would be more preferable. They are going to speak to the doctor about putting me on a mild dose of clomid... which I was told 12 months ago by a private doctor that it should do the trick... so fingers crossed XXXXX XXXXX.... so waiting for them to call me back! Phew... least I don't have to drive over and make a scene! Otherwise I'm seriously considering going private as can't be doing wasting months and more heartache.

Utterly fecked off. Still no AF - what is going on Massive temp dip today so fully expected it to be CD1, but nope. Tell me it is not possible to still be pregnant with a temp that low. Even though I woke up without the duvet, shivering... I am torturing myself here. Someone slap me.

Rah, pleased the clinic got back to you and that you are going to have a shot with the clomid (though you might not need it yet, hang in there!). Fingers are crossed!!

Minxi, big hugs babe, glad you are feeling a little better. Your villa is amazing, will definitely be interested, not this year as we have weddings and hen dos etc - but I am keen for a relaxing pool holiday next year (with a baby pleeeeaase!) Oooh reflexology, let me know how you get on won't you

FYM, so sorry about your friend how sad

hanaflower, no time now, but will check out your question later. In the meantime someone else might have been able to help

Bodders and Greedy, thanks for popping in girls sorry there isn't any news from me yet, and likely to be of the bad variety when it comes, but nice of you think of us

Right... hope you are all well... Gotta dash x

FYM - so sorry to hear about your friend. Awful Thanks for info. It was over 200 for the re-sizing and the claw so probably about right then. I hope your business is very successful - the jewellery looks lovely

Rah - I bought the clear blue cos I thought it would be more reliable I had lots of ewcm today but no smiley face. Either I am not ovulating or the tests are crap. I think I will take your advice and get a monitor. I hope you are still in the running this month and don't need clomid.

Ready - have you tested? If not, I don't know how you have resisted - I probably would've done one daily every day since day 28

Hello to all of you!

freddiesyummymummy · 22/01/2008 22:08

Hello bb2b - have you got Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler? Its a good start plus you can get the software from tcoyf.com although its driving me mad at the moment as it won't put my coverline in the right place.

Morning girls...back on track - feeling better and ready to fight the next cycle.... am starting reflexology tonight and she specialises in fertility so will give it a go for a few months anyway, cheaper than heading straight for ivf

How is everyone else Rah Ready are you ok??? Fingers crossed - had a weird dream about your thread Ready that it was good news...
Hanaflower first time of reflex so will see how it goes - somebody did mention accupuncture but I don't know...maybe will look into that and see what it means to me....

Temp good and high today so definately ovulated - been a bit erratic with the time I'm taking them, so not 100% about the dpo, but can't be too far off. Managed to hold my nerve and BD every 3 days rather than every 2 to hopefully increase sperm quantity - still don't see how lots of little amounts doesn't add up to 1 big amount, but previous attempts have failed so have to try something else.

Back to the clinic at the beginning of Feb - hopefully to get our name on the list for IVF

I'm still all crossed for Ready and Rah - no matter how pessimistic they sounded yesterday. Hope you are both coping well with whatever news (or lack of) you get today.
