Hello all, not much of an update from me I’m afraid, still trying to get myself transferred from my last clinic, and the new one are saying they might not be able to get me across in time for the late June FET that I want.

@Sunbird24 oh no! Hope you get sorted but nothing happens quick in infertility. We're waiting to see if since I spoke to manager about some issues we still have funding for next cycle due to hubbys bmi 😭 she found it after reviewing our notes....looking at private in case it's so overwhelming!

@kerrym87 could he work on getting the bmi down maybe? Would that be a compromise they’d be happy with? BPAS just launched not for profit services and I think they have a few ivf clinics over the country if you’re looking for an affordable private back up.

I’m just waiting and waiting. Consultation on Tuesday, been dieting and working out for holiday, my waist is 1.5 inches down from three weeks ago which is exciting. Glad I’m seeing progress. I think the next FET could be July, feels like such a long wait. I’m 39 today :/

Waiting just ended for the consultation, they rang me today! He was busy Tuesday and needed to fit the appointments in early. Generally very positive, seems optimistic for our current cohort of embryos and is happy for me to do natural modified again for the next FET. I'm on the waiting list again, I guess! An unexpected birthday present! I've emailed the clinic to ask how long the wait is now so I can see what I'm looking at time-wise.

@thislittlebird he's already lost quite a few stone from his biggest and although he is bigger he's quite nimble and doesn't look as heavy as he is. He stopped smoking, cut right back on alcohol, taking supplements, cooling the fellas down and his soerm has improved massively the consultant was quite impressed. The criteria sent was a bit ambiguous when we looked and since September we've received 2 different versions by letter. If I search bpas ivf do you think it'll come up ? Hooray for some progress for you !

@kerrym87 then I guess if the guidance was ambiguous you can argue that, maybe?

Yeah Google BPAS fertility or ivf, they launched earlier this year and I think their prices are online. If I remember correctly, ivf and icsi was the same price which I liked.

Now I just need the clinic to email me back with more info about transfer.

Emailed manager about funding issue and she still hasn't spoken to consultant about it, so we've been worrying the last 10 days about having to switch to private short notice as planning cycle July ish and manager is working the off duty for that time period now ......said she'll do it today. We're very lucky to get nhs funding but it's so hard not to worry about the prospect of your life on hold until next cycle then that cycle possibly going into disarray....😓

@thislittlebird Looks like the only clinic here is an abortion clinic , not quite what I'm after 😂 things take a while to reach us up north !

We were away at the weekend, took the teens to Comic-Con Liverpool which was fun and very tiring, amd
Now oh is having a bit of a Lh crisis, he's not been taking his antidepressants with any kind of regularity and is very stressy and cross all the time but will not have it that it's anything to do with the tablets and just gets angry when I mention them 🙄 so I've not started the clomid yet. Gif no assistance from gp she just said she didn't really know and maybe try the consultant again 🤦🏼‍♀️

I did some chasing today, looks like I’ve now signed all the paperwork that needs doing, now just need an appointment for a consultation with the new clinic but they have to get my notes from the old one first. Have told them if they can’t get my embryos up here in time for my next transfer window they need to let me know in advance so that I can arrange to go back and do it at the previous clinic before they courier them up. Fingers crossed!

@Sunbird24 that's it, be firm with them and make sure they do what you want!! Chances are you threatening to use the other clinic means they'll get a wriggle on 🤞🏻

I have a pre-treatment scan on the 7th and a telephone appointment with the medical director on the 8th. Now just need to get my embryos shifted!

AF is due 6/7th so that will be day 1 of the cycle I want to transfer in…

@Marvellouslymadmum thanks! As of today my waist is apparently 3 inches smaller than what I started at which is wild. I did not expect that today when I measured, still don’t believe it 🤨. My weight is only down 3lbs, I appear to be made of 90% inches in the trunk area lol.

Bit about me, ttc almost three years, mid first cycle of ivf right now. Had egg collection Thursday, got 17, only 2 fertilised. Every minute is an eternity waiting to hear how they're getting on and if we'll have anything to even freeze. Doing freeze all due to ohss risk

Hi @Fifol welcome to the thread! It’s been almost 3 years for us too in a few months, won’t pretend I’m coping with that well lol.

Have you heard any more about your blasts yet? It’s such a stressful rollercoaster.

I had a freeze all too, I think it was worth it to get my body back to some sort of normal.

No update yet, hopefully tomorrow I'll be finding out at least one is viable for freezing. Definitely a little break would be good!

No embryos made it to freeze stage unfortunately. Hoping the doctor can shed some light over the next few days. It is utterly shit

@Fifol im sorry to hear that update, it’s such a shitty process. There’s another thread I’m on called fertility appointments and beyond, my friend on there just had a similar outcome so if you wanted mutual support you would be welcome to hop on to that thread as well, there’s a few folks in a pretty similar boat.

Hello everyone, not posted in a long time. We're now on IVF cycle 3. We started 1st 1 last August. Both failed to implant. This is round 3 on NHS. A fresh cycle again and this time we are trying ICSI. Fiancée had a COMET test following varicocele repair and says improved. I've got AFC 8 this time which is best we've had so far. Really hoping this is it. Nearly 5 years into this journey now.

I’m off on holiday in the early hours and then when I’m back we will be onto FET #2. Will be making sure I have a few drinks after my month of lots of diet and exercise leading up to this. First we have to get through Gatwick, of course 🤨
