@thislittlebird wishing you all the best fpr FET. Hope you enjoy your holiday and get through Gatwick OK.

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum I hope things are progressing OK for you?

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/06/2022 11:53

@MIW01 not particularly 😂 I'm on 100mg of clomid now but currently cd99 on the first cycle! Been told to just take the next tablets but believe I just finally ovulated so just waiting 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have decided that by the time I finish this clomid I'll be going for ivf in another country though. I'm hoping to try one round with my own eggs then move onto a doner only no luck 🤞🏻

Scan done, all looking good, 15 follicles and I definitely ovulated, so can’t see any reason why they won’t let me do a transfer this cycle!

becarefuloutthere · 07/06/2022 18:17

@Sunbird24 that's great news! Good luck with the transfer 🤞🏾
@Marvellouslymadmum hope the clomid does the trick this time, but good to have a back up plan ready in the wings!
@MIW01 hope all scans going well and you're close to transfer now. We did icsi with success!
@thislittlebird hope you're having a nice hol!
@kerrym87 lovely post, hope you're well ♥️

kerrym87 · 07/06/2022 20:01

@Sunbird24 @Marvellouslymadmum fingers crossed for both of you. We went to see nurses today thinking we were going for a July cycle...no.... its next week 🤦‍♀️we can't do July as not enough doctors and when they booked us in in April we didn't know what would happen with my cycle. Its always 2 weeks out! Makes it easier though cos I haven't got time to worry about sorting time off I'm just gona offer my compromise or self cert for a week as I was unwell last time and I'm starting on more this time. Brain is exploding!🤯😂

Sunbird24 · 07/06/2022 20:20

@kerrym87 🤯 indeed! Fingers crossed for you, hopefully the short notice doesn’t give you enough time to panic about it like you say!

i still need my embryos transferred up to this clinic, and for AF to turn up (due today/tomorrow). Transfer should be at the next of the month all being well. Oh, and to add to the stress I sold my house last weekend… 🤦‍♀️

MIW01 · 09/06/2022 10:34

Oh wow @Marvellouslymadmum I hope this route yields fruit for you!

We're so excited, this is the best round to date for us so far, we have at least 16 follicles on the running. All fiancées sperm DNA parameters in the fertile range and my uterine lining 7.8mm which is best it's ever been. Scan tomorrow to book egg collection next week!

becarefuloutthere · 09/06/2022 14:27

@MIW01 great news! Good luck for tomorrow 🤞🏾

kerrym87 · 11/06/2022 19:29

Waiting for period before scan and bloods booked in for Monday, have had like spotting 3 times in last 27 cycles and had to happen now, 3 days in 😪 no period. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow will have to reschedule for Wednesday, waited 5 months from last cycle you'd think I could manage a few days 🤣

Oh @Marvellouslymadmum that’s exciting! Did you have to talk DH round? Must be nice to have a plan in place.

@Sunbird24 sounds like you’ve got a lot going on but all very exciting!

@MIW01 ahhh that’s really exciting, fingers crossed for you guys that this yields some great results.

@kerrym87 wow that’s a nice surprise! You can definitely do that 5 day wait!

I’ve come crashing back down to earth today. Horrible journey back from the airport, the Elizabeth Line was shut so my plan to get back from Heathrow easily went to shit fast and ended up riding round London for ages lol. Four hours from landing at 8pm until we got home at midnight, very annoying. Today I weighed myself and had a cry. I gained the 6lbs I lost before holiday in one week 😔. I wasn’t even eating terribly, mostly self catering with lots of fruit and veg at home but the alcohol and snacking got me. I guess that’s what being nearly 40 does to your metabolism. I was looking forward to making more progress before the next transfer but I guess I’ll be starting from scratch today/tomorrow. I really would like my body to play ball 😭

kerrym87 · 17/06/2022 08:14

How's everyone doing? Sorry can't remember whose at what point!
Tmi question - started on slightly higher dose of menopur on cd 2 this time, and I've got sokoto much ewcm already but slightly sensitive/itchy floof.....its not thrush infection although canesten helps a little....anyone had this? Driving me mad....gona ask at clinic today but quite often you guys have experienced things the clinic has no idea about....😆

thislittlebird · 17/06/2022 10:44

@kerrym87 i think it’s like mild thrush triggered by the hormones? That’s my best guess, I get it a lot when I ovulate or get my period, and it got intense after the IVF. Very rarely does it develop into full on thrush.

Try natural yogurt maybe and if it helps, great? I’ve had to use numbing creams and a lot of thrush treatments. Currently seem to be keeping it at bay with Optibac. For now at least.

Sunbird24 · 17/06/2022 15:56

That doesn’t sound like fun @kerrym87 , hope the yoghurt or something helps!

im due to ovulate in a week and my embryos still haven’t left my previous clinic to come to my new one, the new one won’t even look at a protocol until they arrive, are pushing for a medicated cycle even though I’ve got pregnant from one fresh cycle and 4 natural frozen transfers, and the recurrent MC clinic at my hospital down south don’t appear to have added my blood test results of the prescription they did for all the drugs onto my medical record. Oh, and I’ve sold my house. 🤦‍♀️

Sunbird24 · 17/06/2022 15:57

That should have been or the prescription…

kerrym87 · 18/06/2022 22:05

@Sunbird24 what an arse on! You'd think the amount you pay them would mean they were vaguely organised....or current one hoping with delay you'll have another transfer with them....

Sunbird24 · 19/06/2022 13:09

It’s only CD10 and I’m already getting this on the OPKs, not a chance of getting this all sorted out by Friday.

Bus 7 - all aboard the Donkey Cart! Ttc for way longer than we should've been with endo/pcos/ivf all welcome
kerrym87 · 20/06/2022 07:26

@Sunbird24 noooo! Can you speak to the ward/clinic manager as I've done that at my nhs one and they've ironed out some issues quite quickly

thislittlebird · 20/06/2022 08:30

@Sunbird24 so you’re due to ovulate any day now? That’s very frustrating, will you have to go again next month?

I’m feeling pretty low this morning about how we’re not one of those couples who gets pregnant naturally during fertility treatment or earlier, like it’s just a matter of time, but for us I don’t think it is. It makes me sad how it doesn’t work for us but it does for everyone else. Even the ivf didn’t work and I feel like nothing will.

MIW01 · 22/06/2022 20:38

Hello everyone, just a quick update from me. The good news is we had two embryos transferred on Saturday. So I now have two hopefuls on board. The not so good news is the egg collection only yielded 4 eggs and only 2 fertilised by ICSI and the embryologist informed us that the eggs and sperm aren't great quality! So we were advised they weren't suitable for freezing so we just had both put back in. I'm due to test on the 29th.

Sunbird24 · 22/06/2022 20:56

Fingers crossed for you @MIW01!

kerrym87 · 23/06/2022 09:15

@MIW01 everything crossed.
I've got egg collection tomorrow but got a virus right now (not covud thank god) but it's flattened me and I'm still having low grade temps up to 37.8 this morning- they said it won't stop collection but I'm still terrified they'll take my temp when I get there and they won't do it even though they've said it'd have to be spectacular temp and illness to not do it 😔

MIW01 · 23/06/2022 14:18

@kerrym87 sorry to hear you're going through it atm. I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I read your earlier posts about itchy floof. I've had this during every round and just assumed its the hormones and because a have a fat floof 😂I know thos isn't helpful but I just gpt on with it tbh

@thislittlebird I am so with you on thos I've been wishing, hoping, praying that it j8st happens naturally for us but no. No miracles for us here either. This is round 3. We're very hopeful as we've got 2 on board and it's our last NHS round. Miracles do happen but that are also elusive and rare. I'll pray for you too 😊

So I'm patiently waiting, desperately trying not to symptom spot but I am constantly checking my boobs, heartbeat, aware of every twinge, everything! Hopi g and praying I don't have AF arrive this month and I see those 2 lines.
