@becarefuloutthere not the best as work and last ivf cycle taken it out of me and just not sure what to do with myself! 😕 totally underestimated the impact but how can you prepare? Gona be totally paranoid if it does work for us....hope things are going well for your little family x

becarefuloutthere · 11/04/2022 15:39

@Longbin ah hun, it can be so tough can't it! Wishing you all the best! 🤞🏾 yeah we're all good thanks. She was 6 weeks on Saturday!

@Longbin I'm not sure with that one but your gp should know if you're seeing them again soon.

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/04/2022 21:58

@Longbin you're lucky, I've been asking for a laparoscopy for well over a year as I have adenomyosis and suspected endometriosis but not getting anywhere, I also have unexplained infertility. Hopefully it'll help you 🤞🏻

@Marvellouslymadmum It’s taken me 4 years so far to have a conversation with the consultant due to them messing up my appointments several times, so I think these things unfortunately just take far too long. Hopefully you will get one soon!

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/04/2022 10:54

@Longbin it's crazy isn't it?! My consultant just isn't interested in giving me a lap she says because I've been pregnant 16 years ago and one mc 5 years ago endo or blocked tubes can't be stopping me 🤦🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
kerrym87 · 12/04/2022 13:42

@Marvellouslymadmum can you ask to be referred or seen by another consultant you are entitled to second opinion. If it is endo etc it grows over time and can block stuff later, plus adeno again will grow and could affect implantation. Think she's taking out of her a**e!

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/04/2022 15:20

@kerrym87 that's what I'd like to do, she's very dismissive. I think if it gets to the end of my clomid cycles and she still won't do anything else then I'll ask to be referred elsewhere

OP posts:
Longbin · 12/04/2022 19:09

@Marvellouslymadmum the reason I’m having mine is because they won’t give me clomid without it!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/04/2022 21:40

@Longbin 😂 it's crazy the difference in them all isn't it?! I wish they'd done it that way round for me but they wouldn't listen to me

Next ivf date 28th July......anyone else gona be on that wagon or all waiting for investigations/ clomid etc to work? I've lost track 😅

Sunbird24 · 14/04/2022 15:47

@kerrym87 I’m hoping to make my next transfer happen around 24 June, so not far off?

kerrym87 · 14/04/2022 18:12

Actually we start 18th July not 28th. @Sunbird24 is yours a FET or fresh? They doing much different for you next time?

Sunbird24 · 14/04/2022 18:35

It’s another FET @kerrym87, I’ve got 2 Frosties left. Got steroids and higher dose folic acid on top of the progesterone for this one, will see what happens…

Longbin · 14/04/2022 19:42

@kerrym87 me potentially! I think I’ll be doing a fresh cycle in early august but maybe earlier if I can

thislittlebird · 16/04/2022 11:58

How is everyone doing? I might be having a second FET around July time @kerrym87. That’s a guess though lol

First FET is due this week, I’m just waiting to see if I have Covid or not which is very shit timing but I’m coming to terms with the fact it might not go ahead. It was a bitch of a natural cycle too, they nearly cancelled on me because my lead follicle was very chilled. Eventually got to 17mm on Wednesday, positive OPK 1am on Friday (cd22) . Now having to see if I get any positive tests of another kind :/

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/04/2022 20:48

@thislittlebird what happened did you have covid? I'm hoping not and you got to do your fet!

thislittlebird · 20/04/2022 22:00

@Marvellouslymadmum it’s in the morning 😬😬😬. I am Covid free and I just need to make it through tonight and I’m good to go. It’s been a super stressful week with Covid + DH and transfer looming. Not fun.

I went to the clinic today and omg it took ages. They’ve got instructions on my file, that I wanted to have a particular doctor do the transfer, that I wanted some medication for anxiety, that I needed a small speculum. Finally got it all sorted! Then I had to go to the pharmacy and wait at least an hour or more for a prescription for ONE single diazepam tablet 🤣. What a weirdly long day it’s been! I was due in tomorrow afternoon but the doctor of my choice agreed to do it so I’m now in tomorrow morning, I’m pleased. Having a new person do the transfer would be stressful, she knew how much I was struggling after EC/at first attempt so she knows I’m not relaxed about it all.

I went to acupuncture tonight, it helped me chill out, was very anxious when I got there.

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/04/2022 07:21

@thislittlebird oh amazing! I'm so pleased they sorted everything out and it's happening for you, and you got your 1 diazepam 😂 today is a calm but good day, good luck! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Somatronic · 21/04/2022 07:32

@thislittlebird best of luck today! Hope everything goes smoothly.

I had EC last week, 9 eggs which resulted in 5 blasts. I'm delighted. I had a fresh transfer on Tuesday.

Is it normal to still have a sore ovary a week after EC? I found the procedure traumatic and woke up crying several times during it because I could feel the needle. They said they had trouble with left ovary and there was a lot of pushing and prodding. I just want to be sure it isn't OHSS or something else.

thislittlebird · 21/04/2022 12:02

@Somatronic that’s such a good outcome, you must be thrilled! Less thrilled with them letting you be traumatised by the procedure though, what sort of sedation was it? I told them I didn’t want to be aware because fuck feeling that needle. Hopefully you’re feeling better.

thanks for the good wishes! My FET is done, the doctor I requested came over especially to do it. It was super quick, just slightly uncomfortable with the speculum. Our 4AA embryo defrosted perfectly, 100% in tact and kept developing apparently and they were very excited to tell me this. After a stressful run up I’m relieved it’s done, going to put my feet up for the day with some tv I think.

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/04/2022 17:54

@Somatronic oh that's good news so you're officially pupo congratulations and 🤞🏻 for you!

@thislittlebird eeek so excited for you!! Congratulations to you on being pupo too everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 it's about time one of us graduated!

thislittlebird · 21/04/2022 18:01

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum! I’m trying to keep expectations realistic but it’s hard not to hope.

@Somatronic I completely missed the part about your transfer! Congrats! When is OTD?

Somatronic · 21/04/2022 18:41

Thanks ladies!

@thislittlebird OTD is May 2nd which would be 14 days post day 5 transfer. I think I'll test maybe on day 9? 2 weeks is too long but I don't want to test too early. When is your OTD?

thislittlebird · 21/04/2022 19:06

@Somatronic oh! Mine is also May 2nd lol. No idea why some clinics are so different to others???

kerrym87 · 25/04/2022 19:04

@Somatronic mine were sore for weeks! My sedation and pain relief worked NOT at all, I was completely awake and it was excruciating as they pierced 14 follicles, I have some endo , ibs, was so bloated and it took 40 mins, cried most of last 15 minutes 😒 when you think what they've done and stimulated your varies way above normal its not unusual. Fingers crossed for you x
