@kerrym87 I don't know if I will tell the gp yet because if things do go south I don't want it to impact ivf funding ahh!

I had a mmc at 12 weeks the first time so now progesterone issues. And my progesterone tests have always come back high at 7dpo. So I don't know whether to ask for it :S

Yeah its got to be a really tough time for you not knowing what's happening ot whether signs are positive or just the medication :( when is otd for you?

Annny27 · 14/02/2022 16:17

So no progesterone issues*

Juno231 · 14/02/2022 16:43

@Annny27 aaah congratulations! From what you've said progesterone doesn't seem to be your problem so I wouldn't want to risk the funding either in your shoes. Was the 12 week MC your only one or have you had recurring MCs? If the latter then perhaps a low dose of aspirin just in case? If the former then it sounds like you were just really unlucky!

Annny27 · 14/02/2022 16:46

@juno231 I had a mmc in 2019 and then a chemical in May 2021 (had faint bfps on 11 and 12dpo that didn't really get strong - nowhere near as strong as the two I have had today.

Really conflicted haha! Similar to how you felt when you had your bfp before the ivf schedule!

Somatronic · 14/02/2022 17:15

@Annny27 wonderful news! Congratulations 🎊

thislittlebird · 14/02/2022 17:48

Congratulations 🥳 @Annny27!

@kerrym87 I bet it’s really hard not to think about it. Are you still feeling side effects of it all?

I’ve got some weird asthma or chest infection thing going on. GP has prescribed me amoxicillin. Not sure whether to start them tomorrow or after transfer on Wednesday morning. Don’t want thrush to return for transfer and I don’t want zero good bacteria hmmmm.

Annny27 · 14/02/2022 17:52

@thislittlebird thank you 💗💗💗
can you take the prebiotic vaginally tablets or do you not want to put more things up there! Else you could eat probiotic yogurt 🤞🤞🤞

Thank you @somatronic

thislittlebird · 14/02/2022 17:58

@Annny27 I’m putting the cyclogest elsewhere as it is to avoid thrush 🤨. But that’s a good point, I have some of those vaginal flora tablets (not canesten thrush pessaries). Maybe I can start the antibiotics and those at once. Antibiotics will likely kill that bacteria too but I can only try.

crazycatlady1981 · 14/02/2022 19:53

OMG @Annny27 that’s amazing!! So happy for you! 🥳 Keeping everything crossed that it’s a sticky bean this time! x

Got my EC tomorrow! Hopefully will get a few eggs!! 🤞🏻

thislittlebird · 14/02/2022 20:00

@crazycatlady1981 what time is it???

Erm so my chest infection/asthma thing now seems to have vastly improved. This is not how asthma or a chest infection behaves. The doctor is calling me tomorrow again so I’m going to tell him I think it’s ohss. Not necessarily severe, but I’ve read plenty of cases of breathing issues with it that I think it’s not out of the question and I should mention it.

crazycatlady1981 · 14/02/2022 20:29

@thislittlebird it’s at 8.45! 🙈 just want to get it done now! Make sure you eat lots of protein and drink plenty of water! Hope it’s not OHSS, but defo mention it to the GP!

thislittlebird · 15/02/2022 08:19

@crazycatlady1981 so early! Let us know how it goes.

IVF clinic told me to go to urgent care and I didn’t want to, but I might reconsider that plan. I definitely do not want to have difficulty breathing, it makes me very frustrated they won’t more freely offer freeze alls so there’s time to recover.

Annny27 · 15/02/2022 08:25

@thislittlebird hope you are feeling better soon lovely :( do you have any of the other key symptoms for ohss?

@crazycatlady1981 up early then!!! Hope it goes okay xxx

thislittlebird · 15/02/2022 09:03

@Annny27 no, none, which is why I think they’re all being dismissive. Shortness of breath isn’t on the primary list on symptoms, but it is on the severe list of symptoms, and I’ve read plenty of cases of women presenting with shortness of breath. It’s also annoying that although I had 15 eggs collected and the freeze all rule is 20 I think it’s absolutely batshit that 19 isn’t considered a risk. I had 15 collected, but 19 were growing and there were 24 at baseline.

I really want to do the transfer on Wednesday but I’m also really scared of not being able to breathe properly. It’s so shit.

kerrym87 · 15/02/2022 11:10

@Annny27 Friday.

@thislittlebird so tired and brain all over the place, moods up and down, tummy still tweaky at bottom but luckily although bowel nit at full speed bot constipated. Before having anything (including non medicinal remedies) it's a good idea to talk to clinic as they can be funny about absolutely anything affecting treatment. I felt a little breathless at times but more cos i felt like a beachball my belly was so swollen at top from being constipated and ovaries huge, it came and went but I had no other symptoms of ohss. Drinking plenty (weirdly) helps.

thislittlebird · 15/02/2022 11:24

@kerrym87 sounds rough. Did they say your ovaries were big on the scan? I feel fine and I think the bloating had 90% gone by yesterday, including the constipation. But the breathlessness is the main thing for me. Clinic are fine with the antibiotics, but I’m back in with the doctor today who wants to listen to my chest. I still very low in the stomach discomfort when walking, not really stomach, probably more womb area but you know what I mean.

I’m drinking lots of water, plus electrolyte drinks (coconut water and juice mainly) and trying to maintain the protein which helps.

crazycatlady1981 · 15/02/2022 12:38

We got 4 eggs today! One less than last time! Feeling a bit disappointed but hopefully we’ll get some fertilised!
Weird to be awake during the EC! I wish they’d told me it had changed from last time! I was expecting a lovely nap!! 🙄 More painful than last time too and way more blood afterwards!!

crazycatlady1981 · 15/02/2022 12:45

@Annny27 how are you doing? Have you tested again today? xx

thislittlebird · 15/02/2022 13:12

@crazycatlady1981 honestly sounds a bit shit, I’d be so annoyed with them for keeping me awake and not being warned beforehand. I told them not to start anything until I was asleep because I was so worried about being awake. Did you have blood last time? I didn’t have any and was sort of expecting to have some.

Fingers crossed for fertilisation of your eggs, it might a good outcome even though you expected a couple more.

Somatronic · 15/02/2022 13:24

@crazycatlady1981 fingers crossed for your eggs. Hope you're feeling ok after that ordeal. Mind yourself x

kerrym87 · 15/02/2022 17:37

@crazycatlady1981 I've had conscious sedation before and what I experienced with EC was no way sedation.....AFTER I felt like I'd had a small drink, they gave me 2 lots of fentanyl (again had that before worked a treat and made me woozy) didn't work at all. Think they use baby doses but at least I knew beforehand, most painful thing I've had so far. It is disappointing if you don't get as many eggies as you hoped, fingers crossed that they fertilise and good to go back.
@thislittlebird they said they were bigger but I had 15 follicles punctured and I had at least 4 smaller follicles on each ovary they could see that weren't big enough but over 10mm. I get pelvic pain anyway from endo and IBS so it all fed into each other. Belly was good inch and half bigger at worst swelling, couldn't walk right, it was hilarious!

paintfairy · 15/02/2022 18:03

@crazycatlady1981 @kerrym87 that's interesting. I never had any blood at all and it wasn't particularly painful. I came out thinking I'd happily do it again. 🤣

crazycatlady1981 · 15/02/2022 19:45

@kerrym87 yes it’s much more painful than last time! Someone on another thread said that they’ve reduced the amount of sedative so it barely sedates you!

@paintfairy I didn’t have any blood at all last time but I’m having dark clots and bright red blood still! I’m a bit worried I’ll lose all my nice triple lining if it doesn’t stop! My clinic doesn’t scan during transfer either so we wouldn’t know!
Will speak to a nurse tomorrow if I’m still bleeding then!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/02/2022 21:47

@kerrym87 congratulations on being pupo! Everything crossed for you.

@Annny27 congratulations lovely🤞🏻 this is your lucky bean!

@crazycatlady1981 4 eggs is good, here's hoping they all fertilise and you get a good one in there, hopefully the clinic with help with your bleeding too

@becarefuloutthere @Motherofkittens28 hope you're both doing well,

@thislittlebird hope you're ok and it's not ohss, good luck for tomorrow!

My clomid has been upped to 100mg for the next round, currently 4dpo and super bloated and windy again 😕

crazycatlady1981 · 16/02/2022 08:43

Just had our call! All 4 fertilised!! Can’t believe it!! 🎉 They’ve booked us in for day 5 transfer and they’re going to check them again on Friday and if they aren’t looking good then will change to a day 3 transfer! So no news is good news! 🤞🏻 Although to be honest I would’ve prefer to get them on board asap, but we’ll go with what they suggest!
Also bleeding has pretty much stopped and I’m feeling slightly less sore today! 😀

@Marvellouslymadmum glad they decided to up your clomid next cycle! How are you feeling about this current cycle?
