Yeah, the bad bits seem to be happening a bit further apart each day, and the HPTs are still due stealers, so got a couple of weeks before that becomes a problem

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/01/2022 17:11

@Annny27 sorry af arrived, we can wait in the train station cafe together waving everyone off 😂

@crazycatlady1981 you can stay with us and jump on at the last minute lol

@Sunbird24 sounds like a nightmare, hopefully it'll stop properly soon and you can start to recover!

I’m not going to be able to try and get back on the train for a couple of months now (at least 7 weeks for test results) so I’m up for sitting in the cafe if we can bring our own sandwiches…

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/01/2022 18:44

@Sunbird24 perfect! I'll make a cake 😂

I'll bring the wine and chocolate 🤣🤣🤣 fk knows we need it haha @marvellouslymadmum @sunbird24 @crazycatlady1981

kerrym87 · 21/01/2022 19:58

All those in the cafe . ...I felt like that too, and yet now here I am suddenly (also really short progress in really long space of time)

thislittlebird · 21/01/2022 20:07

@Sunbird24 fingers crossed it’s as ok as these things can be.

I think I’m mentally in the cafe even if my body is putting one foot out of the cafe in the middle of next week.

Today I had to fast, then after the blood tests I had an orange twirl and I’ll also be having a red wine shortly!

Sunbird24 · 21/01/2022 22:49

I’ve resorted to double protection tonight - enormous pad, big granny knickers, then period pants on top just in case! If I’m not down to spotting by Monday I’ll get an appointment with my dr.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/01/2022 19:58

@Annny27 wine, chocolate and cake! Sounds good to me 😍

@thislittlebird when do you get your results?

@Sunbird24 hope you start feeling better soon.

It’s completely stopped today, it’s very strange. Im guessing I must have had something retained that I’ve now got rid of. Whatever it was I’m glad it’s done!

Does anyone have any experience of switching clinics? Nothing wrong with mine, I’m just moving offices in a few months so it’ll be easier if I can transfer my last embryos to nearer there rather than having to keep coming back here.

Kay00 · 23/01/2022 21:04

@sunbird24 I'm glad your bleeding has stopped xx hopefully you can retire the period pants for a while x

I haven't changed clinics but I'm thinking of doing so. I'm currently with Exeter Fertility (I live in Exeter), but I'm thinking of going to a clinic in Bristol for IVF... but that would be 1.5 hour drive each way for every visit... so it's a difficult decision. But the Bristol clinic has a much better rating.

@thislittlebird I'm super excited for you m'lady! I'll be watching your journey very closely xx

thislittlebird · 24/01/2022 09:19

@Sunbird24 glad it’s getting more manageable!

@Kay00 thanks 😬😬😬. I feel a bit nervous today, mostly about whether my period will come on time or whether my last blood test results will come back ok. The GP ran prolactin, liver and kidney function tests, I hope they’re ok. I’m also a bit worried about what time they’ll tell us to do the injections and if I’ll have to do any myself. We’ll find out in a couple of days.

This sounds really dumb, but I’m about a stone overweight at the moment and wanted to shift it before all this started. I guess I won’t be doing that now, but I worry it’ll harm my chances carrying the extra weight. For context a stone is quite a bit for me because I’m short. My BMI is 26.4.

kerrym87 · 24/01/2022 09:40

Anyone has any side effects from menopur? Bad head today but not sure if tension headache or side effects as just felt a bit shaky/swimmy yesterday at work from 2pm which didn't get better (or worse) x

Motherofkittens28 · 24/01/2022 10:00

@Sunbird24 I'm glad it has stopped for you. We were getting ready to switch clinics and to transfer my frozen eggs over, though we didn't ultimately. We had to tell the new clinic and then ask the old clinic for a quote for transfer. I seem to remember it being reasonably expensive even though the clinics were only around 2 mins walk from each other! I guess because they have to ensure they are transferred frozen with no disturbance. It seemed pretty straight forward though once agreed

thislittlebird · 24/01/2022 14:45

@kerrym87 how many days in are you now?

I get hormonal headaches and migraines anyway, hoping I don’t get one on Wednesday when we have to go in.

kerrym87 · 24/01/2022 15:31

@thislittlebird had 3rd injection yesterday....I get this type of headache with neck muscle tension plus hormonal in the week before ovulation normally although not had for months. I've got 7-10 days more I think, it's a killer not being able to have ibuprofen it's normally better than anything else for me. Usually when it's like this i have to get paracetamol, brufen and codeine in quick to avoid a day in bed. Typical really after not having one for months.

thislittlebird · 25/01/2022 14:14

@kerrym87 it really is Sod’s law. I’m a bit nervous for tomorrow, my period will probably be late this month after waiting so long lol

kerrym87 · 25/01/2022 19:02

@thislittlebird I asked for norethisterone to delay period to fit in with plan they'd given me as expected period was 2 weeks befire they put on plan, but then moved it back 4 days 🙄

thislittlebird · 25/01/2022 19:09

@kerrym87 speaking of this, I’ve just re-read the email and it says I need to reschedule if my period is late. It is, kinda, it’s due tomorrow but was due today when they booked me in. I don’t want to reschedule because DH has the day off work and he can’t simply come along for bloods on a random day my period does come. Would you just go anyway if you were me? We both need bloods and a drugs teach, I might just have to come back for a scan another day.

crazycatlady1981 · 26/01/2022 07:10

@thislittlebird has af arrived yet? Good luck for your appointment today! My baseline scan has to be done after my period has started but it might be different for short protocol.

No af for me yet, so my scan has been rescheduled for 2nd!

@kerrym87 Hope you are getting on ok! When’s your next scan? x

thislittlebird · 26/01/2022 07:59

@crazycatlady1981 no it’s not, and I feel really stupid and naughty like a bad school kid for going in when it hasn’t started 😩. But I don’t know what else to do, DH can’t just take another day off last minute. It’s definitely the same, they need to the scan after day 1 but they also need to do bloods on both of us.

2nd Jan? Why such a wait? When are you due?

thislittlebird · 26/01/2022 08:01

Sorry, 2nd Feb. I’m confused by the big leap from now to then if you’re due soon.

thislittlebird · 26/01/2022 08:39

Ok I emailed them and we’re still going in but for bloods only and I’ll go in for the test when AF meanders into town.

kerrym87 · 26/01/2022 13:39

@thislittlebird sorry i didn't see this until now. I had to have bloods and baseline scan between day 1-3 of cycle on short protocol as they measure your uterine lining, check your ovaries are asleep. Just ring when period starts is what I did x
