@crazycatlady1981 I think around ten days but I wouldn’t be shocked if it was less. I responded fast to Letrozole and I’m assuming I might with these drugs too, but who knows!

EC is around the 7th Feb in their plans for me. My brain keeps getting the dates confused and thinking 7th is transfer. I’m hoping to have a freeze all and will ask about it when I go in, if there’s anything to freeze 🙃

How many days are between collection and transfer if you have a fresh transfer? We’re booking a decorator for the downstairs of the house and I’m not sure when is safe to book him in for.

Sunbird24 · 18/01/2022 12:20

Cramps are kicking my backside, waiting for a codeine prescription but may have to have my heat pad surgically separated from my belly. Good news though, I now have an appointment with the gynae consultant for the Monday after next, for yet more blood tests. Fingers crossed this means we’re getting closer to discovering why I just can’t get past 8 weeks.

Sunbird24 · 18/01/2022 12:21

@thislittlebird 5 day fresh transfer is usual if your eggs fertilise and split nicely. Fingers crossed you get some beautiful little embryos!

crazycatlady1981 · 18/01/2022 12:31

@Sunbird24 oh that sucks!! ☹️ I hate cramps, they are the worst! Really hope you get some answers from all the tests! There must be something they can do to help 🤞🏻

@thislittlebird so if EC was on 7th and you did a 5 day transfer, the transfer would be on 12th. Are you doing a freeze all because you have lots of follicles? I’m the opposite and I need ALL the drugs because I don’t respond so well, so I’m on the maximum dose of stims! 😂

thislittlebird · 18/01/2022 13:06

@Sunbird24 sorry to hear your cramps are giving you hell. Hope the codeine improves things somewhat!

@crazycatlady1981 Yeah, I have high AMH and high AFC (36 and 31 when tested) so I’m considering asking for a freeze all, I’m quite worried about OHSS tbh and they’ve given me an antagonist trigger when I probably should have had an agonist. I mean maybe I won’t respond to stims like I expect but if I had to guess now I’d say I’ll respond fairly fast. On letrozole I responded well.

Mid feb on should be ok for the decorator I reckon.

Marking my place as thread disappeared from my "I'm on" becayse I hadn't wrote in a while.

I read in your messages even though I am so bored with my own fertility journey rhat have nothing to say haha. 12dpo, another bfn so waiting for AF to arrive 😴😴😴😴

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/01/2022 23:12

@Sunbird24 they must be able to find out why this keeps happening to you, it can't be coincidence! Hope your cramps go soon.

Hey @Annny27 I'm feeling the same, everyone's on the ivf train and I'm just sitting in the station watching them all go 😂

thislittlebird · 18/01/2022 23:26

@Marvellouslymadmum that made me lmao. 🚂 🙋‍♀️

thislittlebird · 18/01/2022 23:27

@Annny27 it annoys me when it does that, I have next to zero chance remembering I was on a thread and haven’t been lately unless I can see it.

Sunbird24 · 18/01/2022 23:31

@Marvellouslymadmum I might be getting on the train ok but the bastard conductor keeps refusing my ticket and kicking me off! 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/01/2022 23:33

@thislittlebird 😂 at least I still have my sense of humour!

@Sunbird24 drop kick that conductor and hide in the luggage compartment! I'll see if I can sneak on and join you 🚂

It's nice to see a few of you have next steps coming up! I have my fingers and toes crossed for all of you.

This might be just me, but when you get your meds make sure you check the temperature they can be stored at. I just chucked mine in the fridge and then DH being a little more thoughtful about these kinda things read the temperatures. It turned out one had to be 7°-24 and one less than 8°so I literally had only one choice for my fridge temperature. The lettuce was not happy though 🥗

Sunbird24 · 19/01/2022 08:48

I never put my 7-24 meds in the fridge, just kept them in a cupboard as my house doesn’t get over 21 in the autumn, which was when I was using them

thislittlebird · 19/01/2022 09:08

@Marvellouslymadmum @Sunbird24 it really is a pesky donkey train.

I just put the ones in the fridge that they told me to, I didn't adjust the fridge temperature or anything. It came with a letter saying fridge and no fridge, and the fridge items were in a bag labelled fridge.

kerrym87 · 19/01/2022 10:28

@thislittlebird I'm worried about ohhs too as have pcos but they do bloods every 2 days and monitor very carefully like I've got to ring fir results every second day before I give stim injection to make sure its not too much. They also giving me suppressant injection fyremadel I think it's called to keep it it check and prevent early ovulation.

thislittlebird · 19/01/2022 17:48

@kerrym87 they haven’t told me when they’ll do bloods or scans or anything. We’re going in next Tuesday, period is due the same day.

I have fyremadel too. Do you know how that works? Is it one per day on top of the stims? I knew it was to suppress ovulation but not much else.

kerrym87 · 20/01/2022 13:45

@thislittlebird it stops your pituitary from kicking in to stimulate ovulation as the stims are high levels of fsh, they've told me to have that one on a morning but starts after menopur, not got final schedule yet, will tomorrow if internal scan confirms ovaries are quiet. FYI its during your period! 😖 both then stop when you take trigger shot 36 hrs pre collection

Annny27 · 20/01/2022 13:56

Afternoon:) 14dpo and AF arrived this morning

@Marvellouslymadmum yep I feel the same, watching everyone else do ivf whilst I plod along!

@thislittlebird everything's gearing up for you to start now then :D do you feel all sorts of emotions?

@sunbird24 sending love ❤ I took a full 2 weeks off after my Erpc but then again I did have an infection and anemia that wiped me out a bit more than usual. How are you feeling emotionally?

@theawkwardblonde lovely news that baby has arrived - congratulations lovely 💗💗

@kerrym87 so it might mean a freeze all cycle if you get ohss is it?

Annny27 · 20/01/2022 13:56

@crazycatlady1981 when does your FET start or is it a full cycle again?

thislittlebird · 20/01/2022 15:35

@kerrym87 luckily (???) I’ve had the awful mid period scan before, don’t love that! I’m going to be honest and say I’m worried my cycle will be cancelled. I got busy with work last week and didn’t repeat my prolactin test. I’m doing it tomorrow and I’m fretting it’ll be high again ugh because then they’ll want me to do an MRI which I do not want. I just want a normal prolactin result.

I don’t want to have to do the injections myself, really frustrating if my husband can’t be here. I’ll see what time of day they say for both. ☹️

@Annny27 I don’t feel much at all really lol. Just low key anxiety about what’s to come next.

crazycatlady1981 · 20/01/2022 16:00

@Annny27 sorry that af turned up! ☹️ Any news on your ivf appeal yet?
I’m doing another full round! Yippee!! 😂 only had one frozen from the last round and that didn’t work either so here we go again! I feel less stressed about it all this time though as I’ve done it all before, same protocol, same drugs, hopefully different outcome 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Marvellouslymadmum my ivf train is likely being pulled by a donkey so I doubt it’s even left the station yet!! Plenty of time to jump on board!! 😬

@thislittlebird you can probably do your injections whenever suits you best, I was never told a specific time (except for trigger) just had to do stims after the scans which were first thing in the morning, so I did both mine at 9.30. This time my scans are afternoon ones I think, so I’ll have to do the stims later on, but I’m doing my buserelin at 8.30ish.

thislittlebird · 20/01/2022 16:35

@crazycatlady1981 my husband works shifts so I’m not exactly sure how we’ll manage it, other than he might need to swap shifts so he’s on the same ones for the whole of the ten days. If we can do one about 12pm and another at 11 or 12pm that could work. Or one at 5am and another at 5pm, that kinda thing.

Sunbird24 · 20/01/2022 20:06

@thislittlebird I genuinely didn’t find doing the injections myself that bad, not that I had a choice obviously, but I think even if I had I’d have preferred having the control anyway.

TMI alert! Bleeding continues here, not in a manageable steady spotting kind of way but in a whole long stretch of nothing and then a whoosh or a big clot kind of way. Changed my pad just before dinner then had to do it again less than an hour later even though it’s not actually full, because i had a minor flood and it threatened to overflow at the wings. It’s not at the same kind of levels I ended up in A&E with on the last two, that was non-stop, but it’s still annoying!

thislittlebird · 21/01/2022 11:26

@Sunbird24 I’d rather give that aspect to him, I’m not confident or especially practical as people go. I’m sure I could do it I had to, but we’ll try him first!

I’m waiting to leave for my blood tests and I’m fasting, really just want a cup of tea and some good results for these tests next week.

thislittlebird · 21/01/2022 11:27

Pressed post too soon! Are you going to just wait and see what happens @Sunbird24?
