Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

Hi everyone, I wonder if I can join in? I suffered my first miscarriage in early October and have had my first period following that starting on 13 November - it started off slow, got really heavy and I’m not still spotting. Is that normal? Also, still crampy? I had a negative pregnancy test 3 weeks after the miscarriage started. Just so weird this bleeding is still going on….any help would be super helpful 😊

Skl2021 · 25/11/2021 09:15

@BigAlice welcome! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I think it could be normal as your cycle can take a while to go back to normal but if your concerned maybe call go or epu? X

How is everyone getting on? ✨
I'm pretty sure my period is starting. Feeling a bit up and down. I'm already getting pains so expecting it to be bad. I'm happy I'm starting a fresh cycle but it brings back alot of memories. X

Hi everyone, hope I can join in on this thread. Yesterday had a positive pregnancy test after three years - YES THREE YEARS! - of ttc. Feeling very very nervous at this stage but keeping everything crossed! I hope you guys are all doing well and things work out for everyone Thanks

BigAlice · 25/11/2021 09:46

Thanks @Skl2021 so I spoke to the EPU this morning and they have said that this level of bleeding is normal for you first period after miscarriage. I just had no idea, I feel like I was given loads of information relating to the miscarriage itself but not how things would be after….I didn’t expect this. But hey ho….on to the next cycle! OPKs again soon

Skl2021 · 25/11/2021 09:48

Hey ladies... so I'm back!

Sadly this is 5th time unlucky. I've learnt a few lessons... good line progression and seeing hcg double is not guarantee. Found out I'm due to mc shortly and the cramps have started. :-( Fortunately, this time they've agreed to do testing for me on the embryo.

Onwards and upwards though - never giving up! Hope you're all ok xx

Skl2021 · 25/11/2021 15:02

@Rachae I'm so sorry to read this it's absolutely heartbreaking 😩 I'm so glad they have agreed to test tho hopefully u might get some answers. Your attitude is amazing! your definitely right it will happen for you keep going ❤️✨ xx

Thanks @Skl2021 ☺️ you go through that many of them, that you realise they just steal all of your energy and joy. Life's too short for me to keep doing that, so I've just got to be positive and a bit clinical about it all.

One nightmare tho is it's my sister's wedding tomorrow in horrid timing. I'm going to have to take the container with me to the wedding and me and my fiance won't be able to drink as we'll have to leave if I miscarry and then drive 2 hours to the hospital 🙈🙈 praying to miscarry tonight or after the wedding. Xx

Skl2021 · 25/11/2021 15:23

@Rachae your strength is amazing I don't think I would be that positive after that many!! But like your say life's short and you will get there it may just take a little longer!! Oh no that is terrible I pray it doesn't happen while your there. Such horrible timing my heart goes out to you xx

@BigAlice I feel just the same way about getting told loads about the miscarriage itself but not much at all about afterwards. I am 2 weeks past my MC now but am still having twinges and aches, and they never mentioned this could happen so I have been really worried and scared something is up, even though I know logically my HCG was down at pre-pregnant levels last week and an internal scan showed up nothing untoward while I was in the midst of the MC.

It's only through finding threads on here that I've seen actually it's common and normal to still have twinges and aches and pains in the weeks following. I am just living for my period to come so I can breath a proper sigh of relief, I feel like I won't be truly convinced it's all over until then.

@Rachae Sorry to hear you've been through this a few times but glad you'll hopefully get some answers now, and also that you've got such a positive outlook :) Can't go wrong with that x

Rachae · 25/11/2021 16:23

@LittleMysSister thank you ☺️ So sorry to hear you've been through it too. Fingers crossed your period comes soon X

Thanks @Skl2021 xx

So....I'm wondering when's best to start TTC after a miscarriage? It's coming up to 2 weeks since I had medical management for a MMC. I tested yesterday and still showing positive. Should I wait for a negative test? Thanks xx

Rachae · 27/11/2021 08:27

Hey everyone, just updating as this is absolutely crazy. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 They read my HCG levels wrong over the phone and missed off a 0... So it turns out I'm not due to MC. Had a scan yesterday early before the wedding and all measuring well.

Don't trust people over the phone and never trust Clearblue weeks indicator tests! Xx

Wow reading all your stories!! 👏🏻👏🏻 and wanted to join ♥️
I've had two mc this year - April and July. I'm currently 5/6DPO. So fingers crossed for this cycle! I've had some groin pain and cramping today. Sensitive nipples too. But I really don't want to get my hopes up. I can't tell my husband because if I keep it to myself it's just me that gets upset 😕 xx

NooNoo88 · 27/11/2021 23:01

@WhatTheEll oh wishing you all the luck in the world darling ❤️

Hey guys... finally testing negative after miscarriage. How soon after you tested negative did you get your period? Xxx

Skl2021 · 29/11/2021 20:03

@Bridgey8 glad your finally getting negative tests! I didn't get negative tests before period so can't help u there hopefully someone else will answer 🤞

How is everyone! Anyone near testing yet? I'm coming to end of period now so hopefully start ttc again now ✨🤞 xx

WhatTheEll · 29/11/2021 22:22

Maybe testing tomorrow but only have easy@home tests. I know they're not as sensitive as FRER and I'm only 8/9DPO tomorrow but we'll see 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Skl2021 · 29/11/2021 22:55

@WhatTheEll good luck tomorrow 🙊🤞 x
