Thanks everyone. I'm sending babydust your way xx

For cervix position remember SHOW - soft high open and wet means fertile.

ScaryHairy · 12/01/2008 21:39

Fruitloop re cervix: at the beginning of your cycle it will be low and closed, when you ovulate it moves higher up and becomes soft, wet and you can feel a small opening and after ovulation it closes and moves lower down again.

In some women if you are pregnant it stays closed but moves higher again.

The amount to which the position changes varies from one woman to the next so it is a question of trying to notice the differences for your own body.

An open cervix feels like your lips and a closed cervix feels like the tip of your nose.

If you have already had a baby by vaginal delivery or a cs prior to which you were very dilated, you may find it feels slightly open all of much of the time (only read this today after wondering about mine).

I was thinking maybe it would be a good indicator for me as I'm not sure OV sticks are gonna work for me. Thanks for the info .

I'll try not to grab all babyfever's babydust! haha

hi ya fruit loop i remember reading something like that before and i did check a few times this month my cervix position and it was open this month around day 14!!!

do you think it means i ovulated????????

oh i so hope so but not sure as i dont really feel any different ???

Report
fruitloop79 · 13/01/2008 09:19

sam that's what they say happens when you ov .
I've tried checking mine and I can't tell if it's open or not. I don't know what it's normally like so I have nothing to compare it to. I started checking it last week and have noticed this weekend it is higher but I don't know about open or whether it's softer/harder than usual I guess it will take a few weeks of checking it to work out what the differences are. Any ideas on my spotting thread?

How are you today?

Our DS has given us a lie in this weekend. 8 o'clock yesterday and today. He's so good now. Just lies in bed waiting for one of us to wake up (he's 2.5)

fruitloop79 · 13/01/2008 09:20

sam You might not feel any different just yet. Do you remember how you felt with your first?

Hello.

Got a bfp last night.

First cycle after mc so very unexpected.

Not telling anyone in rl yet, but had to tell all you lovely ladies.

Lets just hope this one sticks

(So hard not to get too excited!)

Hello ladies how is everyone? Not much time today, so you'll be relieved to hear no marathon post from me this am!

Morning mibbes hoe you doing? no sign of af here. Feel dehydrated in a slightly hung over way (but not drinking) in the mornings which was the 1st symptom last time, but I suspect it's all in my head rather than in my belly! Had 3 of the TINIEST spots of blood yesterday morning after bd'ing (sorry if TMI )But they really were tiny, any normal person wouldn't have noticed them So am not getting my hopes up (well, obv I am, but I refuse to admit it ) How you doing?

Fruitloop re agnus castus I'd be tempted to start taking it now given your last cycle length but I do know some people say to only take it til ov. Could you afford to see a homeopath just for a couple of months to get yourself on the right track? Mine is lovely and I think she does telephone apps if you can't find anyone locally xx

CONGRATS TO BABYFEVER AND BECAROO
AND.............................................................

ME

Woke up 7:30 this morning with terrible AF-type pains, yet my temp had gone up - thought I know I'm only 10dpo but what the hell I'll take a test to see if these cramps are worth putting up with.

Got a faint line

Woke up DH to make sure I wasn't just seeing things. He agreed there was a line and then we both stood there grinning at each other.

Have updated today's list. Never thought I'd be on the grad list...what with my long cycles. Just goes to show all you late ov'ers....you can get PG on cycles over 35 days long!!!

Wow!!
Becaroo and Digitalgirl

Congratualations!!!
I have previously congratulated BabyFever.

What a lucky month this is!

I woke up with a hangover this morning, even though I've not been drinking. All very odd. Then I came downstairs and read Kate2179's post. Oh dear!!! Can't believe I'm symptom spotting on CD16. Ridiculous behaviour!!!

I hesitate to ask this, because its gross...but have any of you ladies with bfp's got increased cervical discharge???

Am on knicker checking alert due to mc in Dec anyway, but just seems more than usual.

Thanks!! (sorry for the TMI)

Not me becaroo...I have been dry since Ov, which is very unusual for me (I usually have lots all the time).

But then I do remember lots of ladies with BFPs saying increased CM was a symptom for them. Was it like this for you last time?

Report
sambrads · 13/01/2008 11:56

oh congratulations everyone!!!!!!!

so happy for you all!!

it does seem that this month is lucky so please spread your baby dust all over the rest of us!!!

hi ya fruitloop your cervix is normally really really tight at the opening but its not as tight if you ahve already had a baby so its harder to tell !!!!!

does anyone no f i should be still having sex every night as i am on day 22 and i think i would have already ovulated ?????

i have noticed that i have got really dry already this month !!! too much info!!!

Congratulations everyone!

I am on cd 39 and i wish i knew what my body was up to. I had a BFN last Thursday which would have been cd 36, it's so frustrating. I had Af on cd 39 last time which was on the 6th December but i have had no sign of AF today

Report
MsSparkle · 13/01/2008 12:11

Can i just add, i remember having a metalic taste in my mouth when i was having dd so that is a big symptom in case anyone has this!

thanks ladies

fruitloop this is for you. it's one of the links I first found when attempting cervical pursuit. now 'wash your hands'

mssparkle have you been under any stress that could have delayed ovulation? when was the last time you had unprotected sex? I know how frustrating it is not knowing where AF is...

sambrads how long are your cycles normally? You're on Clomid right? I heard it can dry you up more than normal...try cervical pursuit, and if you're low and closed then the egg boat has definitely sailed and you're on the 2ww. can't hurt to keep bd'ing though

Report
MsSparkle · 13/01/2008 12:27

digitalgirl Dp and i started trying in Oct after i finished the pill. After a long wait and many BFN later i got AF on CD 39 (6th Dec.) Dp and i decided to hold off until May to try again for lots of reasons so used condoms apart from once which was between Christmas and New year making that 3 weeks after my last AF and 1 week before i thought i was going to get the next AF.

At the time of the unpretected sex i was getting mouth ulsers which is a big AF symptom for me so i though AF was coming and it was ok to not use a condom. Since then i have had slight cramps and the feeling like i am going to come on but still no bleeding! I want AF to come just so know where i stand!
