Hello hope you can find me I'm off to get the list.

OP posts:
fruitloop79 · 11/01/2008 10:06

Ah thanks for the advise DG. your past symptoms seem to be the same as mine different CM all through and confusing semen with EWCM.
Much as I love my DP, I don't think either of us has the energy to BD every other night. I'm sure it's normal for most people but thinking about it, if I have another 88dayer, I don't think I could manage!
How long before you got a normal cycle?

Oh, crap, I've just bought a load more OV sticks on ebay - oh well, only a fiver!

Why can't it just be easy?
You'd think with all these people falling pg just by looking at a bloke it would be easy to use a OV stick! I hate my body

JollyBear · 11/01/2008 10:14

Morning all

Becaroo I'm glad it isn't just me

Congrats Kiddiecare

Fruitloop It is sooo frustrating! I wouldn't have the energy to BD every other day on a long cycle either. If I were you I'd wee on the sticks anyway seen as you've bought them. If you don't have any luck with them by the end of this cycle then you could ditch them. I hope it isn't another long cycle for you though.

DG Glad things are looking promising for my cycle buddy!

digitalgirl · 11/01/2008 10:19

fruitloop all my cycles since starting ttc have been long. They've been in order from cycle 1: 41, 50 and 45 days. Not as long as yours...but seem to range around the 6 to 7 week mark. If I'm right about this one it will be about 37-38 days which isn't so bad but still longer than the 35 day mark which is considered normal.
Last one was definitely anov, both the 50 day and the 41 day cycles could have been ovulatory (but ov would have been at CD25 and CD35). You've got just a good a chance as any to have a normal cycle this time - in fact, it's important to stay positive. Don't feel as though getting your hopes up is wrong.

Forgive me if you have already mentioned, but have you thought about doing acupuncture or reflexology? I think it helps to relax and feel like you're doing something positive.

Don't worry if you can't BD so often. But at least try to on the days you notice EWCM, even if you think it might be DH's swimmers.

ClairePO · 11/01/2008 10:20

Morning all

Fruitloop believe me every other day is not normal for us either. In fact, much as it embarasses me to admit it, the month we got pregnant we did it once the entire cycle. I said to OH we shouldn't at that time as it was mid cycle and we did it anyway. Amazing and somewhat annoying when you consider that in the 3 cycles since miscarriage we have had 'well timed intercorse' as fertility friend would put it and nothing.

I think if every other day is too much try every 3rd day, if that seems unrealistic try every 4th etc. And as dg says OPK's aren't for everyone. Her advice about checking cervical position (good old cervical pursuit time again LOL) sounds good!

digitalgirl · 11/01/2008 10:21

Thanks JB most of my cycle buddies are normally testing by this point...any idea when you're due AF?

Hello every one, room for a little one?

ClairePO · 11/01/2008 11:18

Welcome NatalieJane tell us about you (your current cycle day, which cycle you're on and baby no you're trying for) and we'll add you to the list.

Pistachio I find OPK's work great for me but then I have regular cycles. I think its a case of try them, if they work for you great but be prepared that they may not. I just use internet cheapy OPK's not the Clear Blue monitor so I never get a so I'm no help I'm afraid. But I do normally get a few days of EWCM or watery CM before I get a positive on my OPK.

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 11:24

Hi Claire

I am kind of cheating a bit, I miscarried on Monday, so can't really start TTC for a little while, and, DH hasn't actually agreed to start TTC, he is saying we need to give it a while after the MC to make sure we're not just rushing into it. But I know we will be doing the TTC thing in a couple of months time

I already have two gorgeous DS's, one who is coming up to 6yo and another 13 months. So this will be number 3.

It seems like ages ago I was on the TTC threads!

ClairePO · 11/01/2008 11:52

I am so sorry about your mc

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 11:54

Thanks you. Been a bit of a crap week TBH, but I am trying to move on a bit, looking towards the future.

JollyBear · 11/01/2008 12:00

Welcome back NatalieJane, sorry to hear about your MC Nice to see you here though and hope you are looking after yourself.

DG I tested on CD28 BFN - now CD31 and no sign of AF yet. I don't want to test again though as my cycles can be erratic.

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 12:03

Thanks JB, it is nice to be back Last time round I made some really lovely MN friends, and we all still talk now!

I will keep my fingers crossed that AF stays away

LittleMissEllie · 11/01/2008 13:00

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 13:25

Hi littleMissEllie, obviously have only just got here myself, but welcome

Let's hope we're not here for too long!

fruitloop79 · 11/01/2008 13:28

Thanks DG how do I go about getting reflexology/acupuncture? and is it expensive?

Thanks jollybear I think I might just as well use them now I've got them.

Wow clairePo that was a stroke of luck!
That cervical pursuit thing sounds, um......interesting. I'm not sure I'd know what to look for

Hi nataliejane So sorry to read about your MC . You sound very positive though which is great.

Hi littlemissellie good luck TTC. I think this is quite a lucky thread

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 13:35

Thanks fruit loop I am just trying to move on as quickly as possible, with having two kids it is hard to stay where ever I was on Monday! Still got down times, but hey ho!!

Onwards and upwards

LittleMissEllie · 11/01/2008 13:42

And welcome to you too NatalieJane Sorry to hear about your mc. And yes fingers crossed for us both!

I hope you are right fruitloop79

Emmsy1 · 11/01/2008 14:04

Hi girls,
sorry about your mc NATALIEJANE hope you find this site as helpful as I have found it!
FRUITLOOP I'm not going to moan about my cyle lenght anymore! I'm only on to CD33 and it's getting me down, it's good to see that it doesn't get you down too much (your GSOH)
your remarkable, hang on in there lady!
mibbes I was told by some one on m/n about the babyaspirin, I can't remember who it was though, only that if you have had a few consecutive m/c's that it may help you remain pregnant once you actually conceive, your not to take it until you get your ++ though, I got mine from ebay ready for the day! I will try and find more info on it before I have the guts to take it. Won't be this month though, the way things are going, what's the story about grapefruit juice? (I hate it, but would take it if I thought it would help!)also do you know what EPO is, Kate mentioned it, in one of her posts? (excuse my lack of knowledge

digitalgirl · 11/01/2008 14:10

Hello newbies NJ and LME Fruitloop you could try googling for them in your area. I know in London acupuncture costs between £30-45 a session. I think Reflexology is cheaper but I've never done it. Sarahnh on the grad list had been ttc for 10 months then had a couple of reflexology sessions and got a BFP, right when she thought she might give up ttc! I tried acupuncture last cycle. It didn't work 'at the time' but I'm certainly feeling the benefits now. I'm taking a break from it until I get a clearer diagnosis from the gynae as to why my cycles are so long.

JB well I think I'm here with you for another 8 or so days, cycle buddy.

pistachio women can get EWCM for up to 5 days before they ov (it lessens the older you get), and you can get the opk up to 2 days before ov. But EWCM helps the sperm survive, so BD whenever you see it!!

fruitloop79 · 11/01/2008 14:16

emmsy1 I don't like to worry too much - I like to convince myself this anyway It's very hard not to have it in the back of your mind constantly though.

EPO = Evening Primrose Oil

fruitloop79 · 11/01/2008 14:20

Sam, you back yet????????????

ClairePO · 11/01/2008 14:20

DG I never knew that EWCM decreased as you get older! ergh bloody mother nature.

ClairePO · 11/01/2008 14:21

and welcome LittlemissEllie too!

NatalieJane · 11/01/2008 14:34

Thanks everyone

Emmsy, I am not a newbie to MN, have been here since TTC number 2. But yes, I have already found it so helpfull a good few times - like my nine week long labour

With DS2 I looked out for the EWCM got DH to do the business a few times and bang I was pregnant, 2 cycles after coming off the pill, that I'd been on for 5 years!
