Littlesquirt, I think it means chemical pregnancy - where you get a BFP and the AF follows rather closely. Prob a soul destoying event to all, especially if you're desperate to concieve, as we all are.

Yes Littlesquirt & Sandies It was Chemical Pregnancies one was just over 5 wks and the other I bled 4 days after BFP. I so want a BFP because I really don't want to go into cycle 10 and then we are in with a chance but I will be terribly nervous of things going wrong again when (I am still being positive) we do get BFP. Still the doctor said it was just terribly bad luck and it should be third time lucky so here's hoping

Sorry Littlesquirt somewhere over Christmas my days got messed up , I'm CD22 today but we are honorary cycle buddies.

My cycle last month was short at 26 days so I did a test today and got BFN but as I'm only CD22 and 10 dpo I'm still holding out hope that it will turn into BFP. I think I'm having a phantom pregnancy at the mo imagining all types of symptoms and believing they are really true. Isn't it cruel how AF symptoms can convince you they are PG symptoms.

Anyway enough of me going on hope you are all staying sane

Hello everyone. I just found this really interesting article about the best time to BD (using OPKs) and test. I was trying to find out if BDing on the day you get a on OPKs is any good or if you should BD the next day for a greater chance...as I only got round to the deed on the day!

You might be interested to know MTW (as a fellow boob prodder ) that breast tenderness is not a sign of early prgnancy until you are officially late for your period!! I'm gutted as I poke mine all the time and they are really tender right now (CD19, so no chance!!) Do you think it could be a sign of ovulation? Cannot be bothered with the temp and charting malarkey as am a lazy mare

Still no af or spotting here but am sure it is in the post (just hoping the postman loses it and delivers BFP instead !!) Cycle buddies, how long are your cycles, are you planning to test soon ? I am usually 32-35 days so a week to go for me...

Hi there from very snowy up-state New York. Some holiday so far as had bronchitus (not nice on a holiday!) I am logging in very quickly from an internet cafe to say hello and check on the progress of all my favourite people and huge congratulations for the Christmas BFP's . Hello everyone! I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW!!!! Made the mistake of taking 3 days off after new year although I worked between christmas and new year and on new year's eve, and now I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GO!!! You'd never think I was approaching 30 would you?!?

Don't know what to do about testing, what are you thinking? My cycles before mc were 34-36 days. I waited (somehow!!!) til CD44 to test when I got my bfp, though I pretty much felt if would def be positive, I just felt different somehow...

Wanted to ask people's opinions actually, I have a smear test booked on 14th jan (lucky me!!) which will be CD36 so was going to test then cos I'm guessing you shouldn't have a smear if you might be pregnant? Any advice on this would be very welcome!!!!
But have been on fertility friend since Kasha mentioned it the other day (thank you Kasha!) Thought I hadn't OV'd this month but it reckons I might have done on CD25!!!! Am so ! Don't really think I did though... Which would mean not testing til 21st / 22nd Jan, CD43 - 44
So now I don't know what to do!
Advice please ladies?????

How you getting on. I think I have finally ov, yesterday. I had a false alarm and thought I had ov'd new years eve. But the temps say different. So that would make me testing around the 19th?
I have had ov pains for a few months now, but nothing this month but had all other symptoms. Checked my cervix position and nearly couldn't find the bleedin thing tonight!! But DH is knackered cos he has to go to work tommorrow ( and he doesn't want to either kate2179) and he has man flu.
Hoping we will be ok cos we managed it the day before ov?

My false alarm was that I had, what felt like, ov pains. But, in hindsight, could have been my mother insisting that my sister and I show off our highland dancing skills to everyoe gathered at our house after the bells. What dancing skills!! I haven't danced properly since I was 13!!
Though, in my defence of what sounds like a bit of dimwitted jumping to conclusions, I was having the pains beore I bounced around like a crazy, for 2 dances. As if one wasn't enough!!
But my temps stayed down and none of the usual ov symptoms appeared until nearer my norm of CD17.

we had a birthday party for DD today as she turns 2 on tuesday!! where does the time go??!!
anywho on the TTC front i am now officially LATE!!i am off to buy a test after work tomorrow so i can find out either way as i did one on friday and it was BFN!! i might be jumping the gun a bit though as i am usually around 28-30 days anyway but i get a day or 2 of spotting from like the day before full blown AF and up to now there has been not even a tiny bit!! and i still feel as rough as a dogs bum aswell!! do i dare get my hopes up yet or should i wait a bit longer?? im itchin to know but a bit scared to see the BFN at the same time as it will be back to the drawing board again like usual!!

Hello again - how is everyone?

I got my OPK on Friday but as yet my temps have not gone up. Does anyone know how long after ovulation this and mucus dry-up "normally" happen? We BD'd on Friday and Sat so as you can imagine I am hoping I ovulated on Sat and was expecting temp rise this morning. Obviously, until my temps go up I can't confirm ovulation at all (grrr).

Kate - sympathy on thw work front. I go back tomorrow after being off since before Christmas. This is not going to be fun..

twinkling - i usually get ov pains too but last month didnt get any but the ebay cheap ov sticks AND CB ov stick comfirmed that i was most fertile as the line was strong so i thought ill BD anyway just incase and now im pg . it really shocked me as i didnt get any ov pains at all so i was thinking "no egg"

Have just decided to bite the bullet and buy some OPKs from ebay. I swore I wouldn't do it (crap attempt at not becoming obsessed) but decided they're easier for me than temping. Think DH would flee in terror if I started temping.

Am I right in thinking that first thing in the morning is not the best time for OPKs? What time of the day do others use them?
