so so sorry kd keeping everything crossed for your next scan... Will your GP do repeat bloods for hcg over the next few days so you don't have to wait a week to find out what's going on? That's what I had and although it was awful getting the bad news at least it wasn't at the horrid hospital and at least I hadn't got my hopes up - although I knew it would probably be bad news it's impossible not to hold out a bit of hope... And looking at it more positively, if the blood results are good news you'll be able to stop worrying that little bit sooner. Thinking of you xx

Fruitloop don't panic about the test, may well just be a trans vaginal ultra sound. I had 3 with mmc, doesn't hurt and not revolting. Nothing compared to a smear test! You'll be fine

Mibbes if you didn't OV this month do you reckon your cycle will be longer than it would have been otherwise? Am totally paranoid I'm in for a 40 or 50 day-er....

Off to buy some Pregnacare today. I'm cr*p at making sure I'm getting the right nutrients pre-preg so need all the help I can get. Been taking regular folic acid so far.
However, I took pregnacare before and throughout my last pregnancy and ended up with a very healthy 10 pounder [very scared emoticon] so slightly apprehensive.

Lobsterslass happy BD-ing and no it's not ridiculous behaviour, at least you'll know where you stand. It's crazy to think we all do our best to avoid getting pregnant (like it's that simple) and now we all know how virtually impossible it actually is to get preg. I always assumed you could fall at anytime especially with all these "accidents" people seem to have and all these teenagers who get preggers after their 1st time! The chances are actually pretty slim (they dont tell you that at school)

Kate I'm not panicking too much, just wasn't expecting such an intrusive procedure. Quite pleased really that I don't hve to wait months and months like some people do

I think I knew all was not well, dp said I was miserable and pessamistic but I was just frightened

I haven't been offered a further blood test, will just wait for the scan next Friday. I think I am resigned to all being unwell particularly as I am starting to bleed more progressively now

On the positive side (try hard enough and you will find ). The EPAU are going to discuss referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic next week, so hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky.

Kate79 no I'm not expecting cycle to be longer than usual due to lack of ovulation. I had the same last cycle and it was a typical 32 day cycle. Was reading fertility book last night and am now concerned that I have a luteal phase problem as I sometimes get 5-6 days of spotting pre-af - this can apparently be a sign that luteal phase is being rubbish . Also af is generally light and between 2-3 days long which is apparently an indicator of non-mentrual bleeding which would mean (as suspected) am not ovulating . Once have temp proof next month am off to get sorted at the docs . Anyone else had similar concerns/issues ?

mibbes I was concerned I wasnt ov-ing especially after getting positive opks and then no af for at least 4 weeks. However my prob was long cycles (af was always 5 days followed by 2 days spotting). I went to the dr and said I didnt think I was ov-ing so they set me up with a progesterone test (day 21). I continued to have long cycles so I asked to be referred to a gynae, which my dr did straightaway. Get the day21 test done, and if the result shows you have low progesterone you can ask to be referred.

dg thanks for the info, am definitely planning a trip to the doc after next cycle when I am armed with more evidence from temps - that should hopefully give more indication as to whether I ovulate and length of luteal phase. Will definitely push to be referred as at 32 do not feel that I want to wait much longer..tick tick tick .

Mibbes I have relatively light af which only last a couple of days then seem to stop for a day before coming back for a day or so, and I would def now be thinking I don't OV were it not for the fact that I got pregnant in sept! I eventually mc'd, but I must have ovulated! Hope that gives you some cause for optimism in some warped and twisted way - this was meant to be a positive post, but maybe it just sounds a bit weird ! Hope you know what I mean though xx

I'm back from my SA holiday! How was Christmas? Mine was lovely! We christened our DD the morning. Afterwards we handed out gifts for all. We had a huge lunch of salads, meat exct. Had nice home-made triffle. Laid in the pool the rest of the day and went to watch the christmas lights the evening.

Reading your message has brought back my experience. I am so sorry KD. There is nothing to be said which will make you feel better right now; please allow yourself to grieve. I am still waiting for any aftercare/counselling (sp?) or offers of any kind (mc in Oct) from the hospital so speak up and get all the help you can get. My sympathies are with you.x
