Month 1, TTC #1

Anyone want to join? I'm 34 and TTC #1. 2DPO and managed to only DTD twice as we were travelling for our honeymoon. Only using OPK's at the moment but may start temping in the next few months if no luck.

Did a clear blue one which said not pregnant so think is must be a false positive!

@AlbatrossSociety wait a few days and test in the morning ❤️ I heard blue dye tests are not the most reliable ... :( hope you still get your positive! Try first response

Hey, hope everyone is doing well!

I've had mild period pains the last few days but AF still hasn't arrived yet 🙄 my OPK result today was very low too so it's obviously not ovulation pain! Will see what the next few days bring.

For those others who don't know their cycle days because they've just come off contraception, when do you plan on taking a pregnancy test? We've been actively TTC for a month now so I'm not sure if I should test yet or not?

Have you had any bleeding since you came off contraception?

I am just waiting for AF now, due on Saturday 😊 then onto cycle 2! I have a feeling deep down cycle 1 wouldn't be the one... but cycle 2 I am feeling very positive for.

Hey @MrsYan, lovely to hear from you 😊 and sending you all the positive vibes for cycle 2! Do you think you'll be able to spend more time with your DP or are you still busy with the house renovation?

No I haven't had any bleeding since having the implant removed. It's just that over the last week I've had some cramping but nothing to show for it 😂 might wait until the weekend and see if AF has arrived by then!

@BeatAroundTheBush I think (so long as my cycle stays the same this month) I will be with DP for all of my fertile window this month 🤞🏼 how exciting it that?!

House Reno is in full swing...... the house is just a shell now. So exciting.

Oh ok, so you have no idea where you are at then. Any other things to go off? Any EWCM? Sore boobs? But I think your plan of waiting a few days and then testing is a good one xox

@MrsYan that's brilliant news! Got my fingers crossed for you this month 🙌 exciting times ahead with the Reno too, it's nice to be able to put your stamp on the place (although very tiring from my own experience 😂)

No I've literally no idea and no other symptoms! It's just a waiting game really...

@BeatAroundTheBush I had the implant out August 16th and had some bleeding on September 12th and then think I ovulated (I had some EWCM) on 26th September and had a positive test on 8th October! Was absolutely not expecting it to happen and still can't quite believe it, but have had a couple more positives since. But last time I got the implant out I didn't bleed for 6 months so I think there are lots of factors??

We need to wait for planning permission before we start our reno so if this bean is sticky then it will be baby and a building site for us .

I'm 35 and in my first month of TTC. I have also nearly bankrupted myself from buying an insane amount of OPKs. This is also my first month temping, which has already turned into a complete and utter obsession. We definitely DTD a few times around and on the day of ovulation, but I really have no idea what to expect for this month. I'm currently 7dpo and haven't had any tell tale symptoms yet.

Congrats to those who've gotten BFPs! Hoping there's a few more soon!

So I have a question.. I have been using the digital clear blue opk and have had circles all week and then today got the static smiley. Shouldn't I get some flashing ones first? Looks like we're dtd tonight then 😂. Wasn't due to ov until Sunday so bit confused that's all?

AF arrived this morning, knew I wasn't pregnant. Still cried because I wasn't pregnant lol. HORMONES ARE STUPID. Boyfriend thinks I'm weird lol.

@BeatAroundTheBush ooo what Reno did you do? We are doing a full one, should be done end of January. Can't wait for us to put our stamp on the house.

@MrsYan sorry your AF arrived. Even when you know you're not pregnant, it's still crushing. Hormones are a real bitch!

My hormones have been all over the shop too, but I'm putting that down to TTC stress (we've have a rough run of things over the past nearly 2 years).

I'm now 8dpo and caved and took a test (not with FMU). Of course it was completely negative, but then it's almost definitely too early to test. My temperature also had a notable drop this morning, so I'm not feeling confident. It's our first month trying again so I shouldn't be surprised if nothing happens.

@Mudra85 yeah it's crap, this was month one though soooo it's ok. This month is the month, I feel it (I'm just with my DP during fertile window this month so actually have a chance!)

I thought a slight dip during luteal phase could mean implantation? Don't quote me on it but I would deff go Google that.

A dip in the luteal phase can be a sign of implantation, but I think this is probably just my progesterone starting to come down. My luteal phase is usually about 12 days, so it could have started to come down ready for my AF to start. I've been pregnant twice before (sadly no live births) and usually get some tell-tale signs, albeit sometimes later than this, but other than some very light cramping (so light I'd normally not even notice it) that's been it. I'd love to be wrong but I suspect I'm not.

Being a girl and especially TTC is definitely hard work. I've just finished work for the week as I'm going away for a long weekend to visit a friend, so tonight I'm going to spend packing and getting ready. Really looking forward to getting a way for a little while. What are you up to this eve? xxx

@MrsYan I was so disappointed after month 1 but its so rare people get pregnant on the 1st month so hopefully cycle two is the one for us.

Just started the TWW. I know I definitely ovulated and the CB digital was right as my boobs are killing me. Fingers crossed these two weeks go fast.

@MrsYan it's so shit that hormones make you feel so emotional the same time as AF arrives, which makes you feel bad in itself. It's a stupid design from mother nature.

Another thing that's a stupid design is that you apparently get cramps in very early pregnancy (I didn't know this) as your uterus stretches. I'm usually having a few mins of crampy pains each day so it can be hard not to worry that it means bean isn't sticking!!

Also I got negatives a few times when I wasn't using my first wee of the day before I got my positive!! I also have taken about 3 tests over the last week just to make sure which I feel is very silly.

@AlbatrossSociety congrats on your BFP! You'll have to keep us updated with how you're getting on and best of luck with the reno. We bought a fixer upper earlier this year so have been working hard to gut the place and redecorate.

I've had a bit of a pity party and this topic was so quiet I thought it was dead so I kind of started a separate one 😂 sure I can be on both anyway.

I'm on CD10 now and ovu is expected in a week. I'm also on antibiotics for the next 4 days so not sure if that's going to affect my cycle at all (hopefully not) but most of all they help, otherwise I'll have to do a bunch of scans as my doc suspects some sort of a kidney issue 😖 I also started temping this cycle and I have a feeling I'm doing it all wrong 😂

Yeah I still haven't had AF unfortunately. It's been 4 months now since I had the implant removed so I will make a drs appointment if I still don't have one soon 😔

@BeatAroundTheBush sorry, that's so frustrating! I didn't have a period for 6 months after I came off the pill for the first time a couple years and the doctor was a bit shit when I talked to her about it. I hope your GP is good?? Let us know how it goes!

My BBT was all over the place the first three days but I think it may be because of the potential infection ? Not sure. It seems to be back to normal now 😂

Ah @BeatAroundTheBush that's so frustrating. It drove me mad waiting for my period to show after having the implant removed.

So I'm 4dpo my btt dipped a bit today so expecting no bfp. I didn't think this month was the month anyway, just have a sneaky feeling.
Af is due to arrive in 11 days so we shall see.
