Think we need a new thread as I tried to post on the old thread and it wouldn't let me!! Please tag in anyone else I've missed who may want to join us here!

I'm not sure @hereforthefood but like you said it's still very early. I'd probably speak to your GP if you're concerned. I don't want to dismiss your concerns but you're so young and in your prime fertile years so I really wouldn't worry!!! And if it is low progesterone my understanding is that's pretty easy to 'treat' xxx

CShandy01 · 08/09/2021 13:12

@hereforthefood do you mind if I ask which pill you're on? And also how long have you been taking it for? I know that some pills take longer to "recover" from (so to speak) than others. I was on the combination pill for 2-3 years and had 1 very VERY weird month of random spotting, then it seemed to work itself out again. However, after coming off the mini pill after having DD, it took about 4-5 months for my cycles to see some sort of normality again. Oh and I didn't have a proper period after coming off that pill for about 40 days.

hereforthefood · 08/09/2021 13:33

@newtolineofduty yeah I'll definitely be heading to my GP if things don't work themselves out by next month but don't want to jump the gun too much!

@CShandy01 I was put on microgynon when I was 15 then a few years later switched to marvelon (combined pill). I came off it in 2018 and everything was perfectly normal, went back on it again mid-2019 and this is the first time I've come off it since. I'm hoping this month I'll get no spotting and a nice regular flow (obviously second to a BFP!) but if not, of to the docs I shall go!

Katywatty17 · 08/09/2021 18:12

Sorry to jump on this just feeling very emotional as DD started school this week.

Hi anyone out there hope you're well. I was just setting up this thread because I'm having difficulty conceiving baby number two. Paragraph my DD is currently four and we would love another one, we have been trying for the past year and it hasn't happened.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips, info or ways of calming the stress levels down without only thinking about this 24 seven.

Has anyone tried natural cycles as a way of conceiving I was wondering if it worked for them or any other method.

By the way I can't seem to find anything wrong at the doctors I am booked in for my high cosy in November any info or soothing words would be most appreciated

newtolineofduty · 08/09/2021 20:46

@Katywatty17 sorry to hear you're having a hard time. TTC really is a horrible journey! I've been much calmer this month and I think the main thing for me has been making a conscious effort not to symptom spot/google! I've also focused on other things like eating better and exercise, and making lots of lovely plans with friends and family so that I'm ensuring that I'm 'living' and not just TTC! I've also had some acupuncture and reflexology sessions too in an attempt to self care! Sending love x

@hoola23 how are you doing hun? So I don't even want to type this as I don't want to jinx anything but I've just brushed my teeth and my gums were bleeding which was my first pregnancy sign with my daughter! Will try desperately not to hold on to too much hope though! Just an appropriate amount. Hoping my positivity about this cycle was right! X

CShandy01 · 08/09/2021 21:15

If anyone is having a bad day, this will cheer you up....

So AF still a no show, so if she's not here by tomorrow then I'm officially late. I did a 3 mile walk this morning, feeling fine. Got home, bad back ache. Nipples feel like they're being pinched. I'm like OK AF COME AND GET ME....

Nothing happens, but boy does my back ache get worse!

So I try doing my yoga and Pilates exercises that I did while I was pregnant that also relieve PMS back ache. Nothing. Lay on the bed. Nothing. Thought "a shower will help!"

Shower was going very well, until I bent over to pick up the shampoo bottle. As I was coming back up from bending over, my entire pelvis tilted backwards on its own accord, as if Someone was trying to make me do hip tilts forwards and backwards. I have never ever felt pain like it, it was worse than the back ache I had during labour. Collapse in agony in the shower, couldn't move. Lower back was spasm and in agony. DH had to physically drag me out of the shower and lie me on the bed face first.

Long story short, looks like I may have had a disc pop out and go back in again, causing HUGE muscle spasms that have left me almost bed ridden. Currently using my exercise ball to do small hip twists to get the muscles less stiff.

Oh and still no AF.

So moral of the story ladies - life can be awful at times, but then it can raise your hopes up of maybe getting a BFP to come crashing down by having a Miranda in the shower moment from Sex and the City.

hoola23 · 08/09/2021 21:33

@CShandy01 omg!!!! You poor thing! That's sounds incredibly painful! I hope it feels better soon!!

Still no AF?!?!?!? Have you tested?! Your willpower is phenomenal! Xx

CShandy01 · 08/09/2021 21:37

Still not tested, I have got 2 FRER tests but I just thought let's see what happens today. I'm now worried that what if I am pregnant and this back problem will cause issues, or what if I'll never be fully back to normal again. I couldn't pick up DD today and I had a huge cry about it. She couldn't understand why mummy couldn't play properly 😩😢

If AF is a no show tomorrow I'll test, since then I'll be officially a day late. Just don't want to get my hopes up if I'm honest.

hoola23 · 08/09/2021 21:39

@newtolineofduty eeeeeeekkkkkkkkk! Omg I am hoping so hard this is IT for you!!! It's not jinxing, it's sending out the positive manifestations!!
How many DPO are you now, any other signs?!

I'm doing fine, not much to report! Don't feel pregnant one bit! My CB fertility monitor finally said pregnant today! Bit gross but I was checking my cervix position today (just for fun as you do!) as I used to do this prev months but no real idea what I'm looking for! Then about 5 mins later I had the worst period pains, so low down and quite sharp for about 15 mins but then it went and hasn't come back. No bleeding at all so I guess that's ok but was a bit worrying when it happened! Xx

newtolineofduty · 08/09/2021 23:09

@hoola23 aww that's anxiety provoking but glad you feel ok! You've had such a rollercoaster the last week! I didn't know the fertility monitor could be used for pregnancy testing too!?

I'm 10dpo! I have a frer and two types of CB in the house and not tempted to test at all! No other symptoms although I have noticed my skin has been incredibly greasy the last week!

@CShandy01 omg how awful you poor thing! Hope you'll be able to rest up! It's great AF hasn't shown yet! Hope she stays away! X

MrsRosaline · 08/09/2021 23:38

@newtolineofduty ahh! That's exciting. Fingers crossed for you.

@CShandy01 sorry to hear about your fall... hope the pain is at least manageable! But good news about the missing period. Please update us when you've tested!

CShandy01 · 09/09/2021 07:00

Morning everyone!

Well AF has FINALLY arrived. I'm actually quite pleased just because it may reduce some of the retained fluid for my back.

Back to square one for us!! Although this month may be a bit of a boring month...can't see me getting off my back much 😂😂

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 07:26

@newtolineofduty not long to go then!!!! Are you going to wait till the day AF is due to test? What's the plan because I am SO excited for you!!! 😉

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 07:29

@CShandy01 urgh!!!!! Sorry lovely, defo try to see the positives though. Next month is the no testing, no charting month right?! Hopefully the back gets better sooner rather than later so you can DTD!! X

CShandy01 · 09/09/2021 07:34

@hoola23 so new cycle new me 🙂 no charting, no symptom spotting, just taking it dead chilled. Quite frankly, this bloody herniated disc has put a lot into perspective.

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 07:38

@CShandy01 yes! Love that attitude to this month already! Woo! No amount of over thinking or testing helps, Just got to live your life! Well I'm starting already on the positive thoughts for you, both back and baby wise!! Are you able to move around at all? Back pain is the worst because sometimes you think. It's ok then you move like an inch and you can cripple over in pain. Bloody horrible! X

CShandy01 · 09/09/2021 07:50

@hoola23 I've been bouncing up and down on my giant exercise ball that I specifically got for my first pregnancy, and it has really really helped.

I can walk but my left hip really really hurts, so it's uncomfortable. However, the fact that I can get in and out of bed and down the stairs is a huge bonus for me 🙂

How are you doing?? Have you got your first appointment with the midwife sorted yet?!

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 07:55

@CShandy01 oh I'm glad it seems to be easing! Just take it so easy!

Doing great! So far, pregnancy is a breeze 🤣🤣 sadly, I know it won't stay like this! I haven't yet! Should I do it now? I'm in Surrey and I think I can refer online and just bypass the GP. I'm still so early so was going to wait a bit longer. What do you think? I feel so out of my depth with all this. And now, all my fb video advert things are all pregnancy childbirth stuff, that really freaks me out!! It's kind of dawned on me that (hopefully) I'm going to have to go through labour and honestly, I'm not going to cope well with that!!! Is it really as bad as people say?! 😕😕😕😕

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 08:42

@MrsRosaline how are you getting on?! Xx

newtolineofduty · 09/09/2021 11:11

@hoola23 even worse bleeding gums this morning argh! In all honesty I'm abit annoyed as I was doing so well with not symptom spotting etc but now it feels like my body has given me a symptom I can't ignore as it's not easy to explain that one away as pms!!!! Technically period due a week today but given I ovulated early I think it should come Monday/Tuesday if it's coming! Going away Monday-Friday so need to decide whether to test beforehand! Sunday is 14dpo but I'm just so anxious that it'll be negative and don't want to be on a downer for the holiday! X

CShandy01 · 09/09/2021 11:22

@hoola23 I think I had an appointment around 5 weeks, but that was because I actually had to register with the surgery because I wasn't on their books. Then the midwife came round sometime between 6 and 8 weeks for like a general chat sort of thing. I know I had bloods done around the 12 week mark and again, that's standard.

Every surgery is different though. So maybe when you're comfortable call the doctors and let them know and just see what happens 🙂

wannabeamummysobad · 09/09/2021 11:23

@newtolineofduty I know it must be difficult. In the cycle I joined MN I documented all of my symptoms as knew it felt different to normal. DH worried I'd be disappointed but deep down i knew and was right. Test before you leave or take sanitary products with you but not knowing won't make you any less anxious...
Do you drink?will not testing change your behaviour on trip?
Fingers crossed whatever you decide

CShandy01 · 09/09/2021 11:24

Had a lovely chat with the husband today. We just sat down and said that we'll start trying around day 8, DTD when we can (maybe try every other day) and will see how it goes.

I've said that if I can see from my CM that I'm super fertile and in that peak, then we'll try and DTD each day for the next couple of days. He's up for it 🙂

MrsRosaline · 09/09/2021 12:37

I'm good thank you @hoola23. 9DPO for me. Boobs hurting, which is normal since having DD. Don't particularly feel pregnant so I suspect it'll be negative when I do eventually test. I also self referred directly to the hospital - where in Surrey are you? I'm here too.

@newtolineofduty if you think that seeing a negative result will ruin your holiday then I would hold off testing. Last cycle I tested the night before DH and I had a day out for our anniversary and the whole day I just felt rubbish as I hadn't gotten over it yet.

newtolineofduty · 09/09/2021 13:21

@MrsRosaline that's how I feel! I also think it's more gutting seeing a negative test than a period! I'll see how I feel on Sunday-I might not be able to resist by then and may want to put myself out of my misery! Xx
