@plantbasedlondoner @Aims1991 genuinely cannot be arsed DTD at this moment in time 😂😂😂 when I even think about potentially having to do it all over again, both me and DH are a bit like "ahhhhhh really?!?!" We've even said that we might give the SMEP a go next time round as that way at least it's sort of half spontaneous and half booked in (so to speak!)

newtolineofduty · 03/10/2021 20:08

@hoola23 do you feel the tugging on just one side or both sides? How low down is it? X

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 20:21

@newtolineofduty just one side I think. Right side, same as last time! Yeah it's low down, almost where my hip bone starts. It's so bloody mild though so it's prob digestion 🤣 it's not constant either

newtolineofduty · 03/10/2021 21:23

Agh mines the left side @hoola23 but further down almost nearer the cervix! Then just got similar feelings on my right just now! Like you it's sporadic though! It's probably nothing but quite hard to ignore! X

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 22:02

@newtolineofduty ohhhh! Mines defo not near my cervix but it's so hard to tell as they just randomly happen! However, I really don't feel confident this month. I'd probable have tested by now normally 🤣🤣🤣

CShandy01 · 03/10/2021 23:10

@hoola23 @newtolineofduty I'm not going to lie, it's been SO HARD not buying cheap sticks from the internet this month 😂😂 I almost (ALMOST) buckled yesterday in Sainsbury's, but didn't. Although thank god I didn't because I've heard horrific things on Mumsnet about them giving out false positives. Cannot think of anything more heartbreaking than that.

On a totally random note, on my daily/twice daily/every bloody hour check of the old cervix, I've noticed that today I have just been incredibly wet down there (TMI sorry!) Just very very watery with lotion like CM dotted around. Cervix is low but feels not AS hard as it usually does before AF, plus I can't remember it being this wet either. Although I don't know if that's my memory playing tricks on me. We'll see in 3 days time I guess!!

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 23:28

@CShandy01 sainsburys own brand tests are the worst! They have two windows, the control gives you a cross and the other one is either a line or not. So when I used it I saw the cross and was so happy, then read the instructions!!

Interesting about the wet feeling, I know cm can't always be the best indicator but really if anything is not normal for you then I would hold on to that! I really bloody hope this is your month! X

CShandy01 · 04/10/2021 05:59

Well ladies, looks like I'm out this cycle. AF has shown her ugly face this morning a day early. So this has been a 26 day cycle (last month was 31 but I think stress and possibly the second COVID vaccine may have screwed it up a bit).

Onto the next cycle! Decided to go completely cold turkey. No cervix prodding, no nothing. Just going to DTD when we can be arsed again and see what happens. Might suggest the SMEP but you have to use OPK's for that and I really don't want to. Can't help but think "what is wrong with me!!" but then I remind myself that I do have DD so I am incredibly lucky 🧡

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 08:24

@CShandy01 you got this hun! I think it's an achievement you did a whole cycle with no testing and just going with the flow!
I don't think I'm far behind you to be honest, AF should be here Sunday or Monday I think x

CShandy01 · 04/10/2021 10:42

@hoola23 I can't help but think maybe I need to track to give it a better shot, you know? I really don't know what to do! 😩😩

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 10:47

@CShandy01 it's hard to know isn't it! I know I stress less when I do opk just so I have a rough idea what's going on. Saying that, my ovulation is pretty regular on dates and I look for other signs too so it prob doesn't make that much of a difference! Why don't you do next cycle with opk and then you can compare the two months and see what you prefer. Regardless of what you choose, try to just go with the flow and not think about it too much

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 11:15

@newtolineofduty you still getting twinges hun? I don't think I am anymore so I think it was all in my head 🤣

newtolineofduty · 04/10/2021 12:09

@CShandy01 so sorry to hear that but so much better to be early than late! Similar to @hoola23 I find tracking reassuring rather than stressful so I think you have to do what feels best for you-does the benefits of knowing your cycle outweigh the stress of testing etc?

@hoola23 the occasional twinge on the right but I really don't think it means anything! I think if yours have stopped it maybe just means implantation has finished!? X

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 12:27

@newtolineofduty I feel myself wanting to buy an early pg test which is really pissing me off. I just struggle with the not knowing, it really isn't the outcome! I'm just so bloody impatient! I really just want to wait for AF but I'm scared I won't🤣🤣

Pretty confident I'm not but I just want to know now!!!

newtolineofduty · 04/10/2021 12:33

@hoola23 it's so funny because I was like that the first few months but something has really shifted-I think it's because I'm totally pessimistic and the idea of looking at a negative test is awful! And I think because you never really know 100% test certainty wise either way until AF due anyway so it feels like it wouldn't help! Have you any in the house? I remember with DD I just did one (IC) the day my period was due and I just had a sudden urge/desire to do it because I had a sense I was pregnant! On that occasion I was right but not recently! Xxx

plantbasedlondoner · 04/10/2021 12:47

@CShandy01 sorry to hear AF has arrived hun, but I agree shorter cycles are definitely better! I track mine using an app although the apps are annoying as they often predict the fertile period incorrectly if you have slightly irregular periods. I think this cycle is going to be a long one for me. I might try SMEP next month too, we are DTDing every other day during what I think is the fertile window but I may be getting it so wrong and then rest of the month, don't ask 🤣

@hoola23 I relate to just wanting to know!! I've never tested early but I'm off on holiday this week and so tempted so that I don't have it in my head the whole time, AF is expected the last day of the holiday :(

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 12:53

@newtolineofduty I only have normal CB one so not an early detection one and it would be a complete waste to do that before AF is due! You're right though, if I did test and it's negative then there's still that could it just be too early thought and you end up in the same place 🤣

@plantbasedlondoner that's what I'm like! I genuinely am not bothered about the result I just want to stop over thinking it all! It's becuase I'm now in the second week of the TWW which is the hardest!!!

CShandy01 · 04/10/2021 12:56

My periods are just all over the place @plantbasedlondoner, that's the issue. I'm anywhere between 25 and 31 day cycles currently (these are cycles from November 2020). But clearly the OPK's aren't working for me as they're stressing me out thinking "right 1dpo now". And with my acne on my face, I must be internally stressed. So maybe my body is just telling me you cannot have a child yet in this frame of mind. Need to just take a step back, as hard as it is to do! I think this'll be my only link to TTC as I love hearing how you're all doing 🙂🙂🙂

plantbasedlondoner · 04/10/2021 13:13

@hoola23 the waiting is the hardest and because it all takes so long, it really does allow a lot of time for the mind to wander! I really wanted a BFP before Christmas but I know it's silly to get worked up and have an idea like that in the mind... setting myself up for disappointment!

@CShandy01 It sounds like borderline PCOS which is what I have - acne, excess hair growth, irregular periods, anxiety, weight gain.... those are all some of the main symptoms. OPKs aren't really the best for us as it is hard to pinpoint exactly when the fertile period is ! Also stress drives up cortisol and makes it harder to conceive - it's so unfair isnt it? I do think the relaxed approach for women with PCOS is best - I think OPKs got me worked up this month and next month I am going to chill out. My last cycle was 25 days and I think this one will be around 33 days so annoying.

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 13:24

@CShandy01 sorry things are a bit all over the place for you. I think you just need to do what makes it feel best for you. If that's no opk then do that and just go off cm. alternatively, if you can DTD every 2-3 days from when af finishes until cd 22, this will also give you a good shot each month. Hard work though I know. I tried smep for four months and got nowhere but that's also worth a shot but you would need to use opk for that. I found smep more stressful though! You will get there xxx

wannabeamummysobad · 04/10/2021 14:52

Sorry I've been MIA I needed a break from the internet but all caught up now.

@Ems2021 congratulations on your BFP!

Good luck to everyone else on their TTC journeys. Keeping everything crossed for you all.

As for me, TTC and pregnancy in general really gets me on edge! (For me) TTC was the easy part (though @MrsRosaline and@newtolineofduty can attest I was far from calm) . Since then my mind has run rampant with worries are my symptoms strong enough? Why aren't I really nauseous, why do I have energy to run a half marathon, should my HR be higher etc making it difficult to enjoy my pregnancy but after my second early scan this weekend and seeing baby wave and "dance" getting a kick up the 🍑 from the sonographer that all pregnancy and women are different so just be happy I'm being let off lightly I'm now feeling much calmer and ready to embrace/enjoy my first pregnancy.

newtolineofduty · 04/10/2021 15:12

Agh that's great @wannabeamummysobad x it really is such an anxiety provoking time x

hoola23 · 04/10/2021 15:24

@wannabeamummysobad good to hear from you! It reallly is one big worry fest! Then after you give birth, that worry stays for the rest of your life right! Ah, fun times ahead for all of us🤣🤣🤣

plantbasedlondoner · 04/10/2021 15:33

@wannabeamummysobad so great you had such a lovely scan! I can only imagine the anxiety levels though - trying to take it one step at the time and yes @hoola23 a lifetime of worrying (in some way) is ahead!

MrsRosaline · 04/10/2021 18:05

Hi @wannabeamummysobad congratulations on a lovely scan! Bet that was a huge relief.

Hi everyone I am still here...lurking. I am surprised at how hard I've been hit by the loss of the pregnancy. I guess because I got very positive tests for 10 days, so I had started to accept it and was getting excited.

I am tracking ovulation again this month, and if I take the first day of the miscarriage bleed, I suppose I would be CD13 today. However there are no signs at all of upcoming ovulation. @hoola23 what was your cycle like? Did you ovulate late or anything? I've also got some blood tinged cervical mucus.

@plantbasedlondoner I get what you mean about before Christmas!
