@hoola23 last few months he was asking then this month he's like the opposite. Told him when it was time and he acted like he couldn't be bothered 🤷🏻‍♀️ men 🙄🙄

hoola23 · 02/10/2021 20:06

@Aims1991 do you think he could be worried that it's not happening? Does he say how he's feeling? Sometimes I feel like I can't be bothered after trying months and months, I feel like what's the point when nothing happens!

Aims1991 · 02/10/2021 20:18

@hoola23 Yeah I do sometimes think he must be like that! But he could show some compassion. Men will be men I suppose

hoola23 · 02/10/2021 20:26

@Aims1991 I agree! How does he normally handle his emotions? Does he talk things through or internalise them? Maybe when he gets home try and get him to talk if you can. If you both know how each other feels it will help you moving forward. You're in this together and it's bloody awful sometimes! I used to think my DH was not as into it as I was but in the last few months we've really been so open with each other and this has led to better sex which then makes fertile week so much better and easier!! X

Aims1991 · 02/10/2021 20:49

@hoola23 he's good talking about them. Maybe he's just having one they months.
Thanks for listening ladies x

newtolineofduty · 02/10/2021 21:02

@Aims1991 it's so tough! I think my partner is understanding more and more as each month passes and I don't get pregnant which I track etc! He was so chilled at first whereas now he seems to understand why it's really important we DTD on the right days! He said he also feels like a failure that I've not got pregnant yet. Do you think DH is feeling guilty/like he's failing so maybe he avoids discussing it/the feeling that you're 'trying'? X

Aims1991 · 02/10/2021 21:25

@newtolineofduty Yeah I've thought that a few times. But as a pride thing he would never say it out loud. Maybe after this he will understand a bit more. Maybe the silent treatment will of worked🤷🏻‍♀️

newtolineofduty · 02/10/2021 21:46

@Aims1991 how long have you been trying? The first few months I kept all my feelings/tracking/thoughts to myself but I just felt so lonely and isolated with it all. I felt like I was carrying the weight of TTC alone, but it turns out he was doing the same with his thoughts and feelings. The last two months we've been totally open however and similar to @hoola23 it means the fertile week feels so much less stressful! X

Aims1991 · 02/10/2021 22:00

@newtolineofduty trying since January. But only properly tracked my cycles since about may.

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 09:34

@Aims1991 I'm sure it will happen for you soon hun. It is such hard work though isn't it!

6/7dpo for me today. Feel literally nothing but then I'm not doing my usual ridiculous symptom spotting. I don't have any positive vibes this month though so if I had to call it, I'd say not pregnant!

CShandy01 · 03/10/2021 09:39

@hoola23 I'm the same as you chick. I have my pre AF bloating and general feeling bleeeuugghhh. If I was a betting woman I'd put money on not being pregnant. Oddly enough not feeling too bothered - I think the whole not tracking and not testing early has definitely taken pressure off.

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 10:09

@CShandy01 I don't have that yet, but I'm sure it will come next week. I've kinda moved on in my head now to next month already! I'm fine about it, esp after last month I wasn't expecting much anyway. Just annoyed I have to continue eating dust on the Cambridge diet 🤣🤣🤣

CShandy01 · 03/10/2021 14:34

@hoola23 I'm the same as you. I've counted out this month. Rather be pessimistic than get my hopes up. Equally though I just want AF here now so I can be like, right onward and upward....and also because I want to know how much I can drink next weekend 😂😂

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 14:42

@CShandy01 yeah I just have that feeling I'm out. Also happy because it's our anniversary in a couple weeks so I am going to get drunnnnnk!
I actually think I need a new cycle anyway, my ewcm is back but it's not normal ewcm but thick! I did an opk just in case and it's negative

plantbasedlondoner · 03/10/2021 14:57

@Aims1991 Sorry to hear it's been tricky with DH, it can be so hard and lonely on a TTC journey. I completely relate although I find talking about it really helps but some months DH just doesn't get it either. After all, they are not the ones tracking the cervical mucus, BBT, cycles, OPKs etc... I do find the increased pressure to DTD can be counterintuitive and go the other way as well.

I'm CD 21 today and I know I ovulated late this cycle (I think CD 18) but I am having the weirdest thing I can't remember having in a long time or ever - sudden jelly like discharge, no colour to it, it's just cloudy and slightly sticky but there is a lot and I have never had that before (TMI sorry!) But then again, my cycle has been weird this month.

We are off abroad this week abroad for the first time in so long and that usually throws off my cycle so I am going to be symptom spotting like mad on the beach 🤣

plantbasedlondoner · 03/10/2021 14:59

@CShandy01 I hate pre AF bloating and PMS ... we should get a special day of pampering and worshipped like queens on cycles when we aren't pregnant, not AF, cramps and bloating! 🤣

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 18:21

@CShandy01 @newtolineofduty it might be in my head but I'm sure I'm having some pinching and pulling sensations going on!!

plantbasedlondoner · 03/10/2021 18:34

@hoola23 that's very exciting! What DPO are you now?

newtolineofduty · 03/10/2021 18:39

Hey ladies! Just catching up! It's funny you say that @hoola23 as I've had the same but I was thinking it was abit of trapped wind!

Ive honestly lost my gut instinct now but I can totally relate to being on to next cycle in my head/already planning when we need free diaries to DTD etc!

@CShandy01 I'd try not to give up hun as all those things are signs of pregnancy too! X

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 18:55

@plantbasedlondoner I think 7 but could also be 6

@newtolineofduty haha! I can only relate to last months experience which is like flinting pink prick type sensation with a feeling of pulling. It's not period type pain but just that sensation of something could be happening in there! Equally, this could be in my head🤣

newtolineofduty · 03/10/2021 19:16

@hoola23 I just question whether I've felt it every month! I should make notes really then I can learn if it means nothing! X

hoola23 · 03/10/2021 19:20

@newtolineofduty me too!! I know I felt this last month and I know i implanted around 6-7 DPO as I got my BFP on 9dpo. I've still got two weeks to test though as I told myself a week after AF is late!

Aims1991 · 03/10/2021 19:25

@plantbasedlondoner Yeah I think he gets annoyed it's not happened yet and just doesn't express that properly!
Funnily enough I have the same CM like that yesterday and thought it was strange 🤷🏻‍♀️

CShandy01 · 03/10/2021 19:35

@hoola23 oooh that sounds exciting! I genuinely wouldn't have a clue what implantation would feel like. Don't think I ever had it with DD. I actually had a whole "ignorance is bliss" thing going on with pregnancy no.1....probably why I actually conceived right away. Definitely something to be said for completely relaxing!

@newtolineofduty it's hard to stay positive I guess, and I'm always better at being pessimistic because then I can't be disappointed. But as we always say on here, "you're not out until the witch shows up!"

plantbasedlondoner · 03/10/2021 19:35

@newtolineofduty Yes I am still 10 days away from AF making an appearance but already onto the next cycle in my mind and getting worried about booking too things in that week

@Aims1991that is interesting, I suppose we just don't know, it seems like every woman is so different in terms of symptoms they could experience such as discharge

I wonder how the colder and darker evenings will affect how much everyone feels like DTD - I just feel like being cosy and eating chocolate most evenings already!
