Think we need a new thread as I tried to post on the old thread and it wouldn't let me!! Please tag in anyone else I've missed who may want to join us here!

Hey ladies!!!! No EWCM today so I'm HOPING I ovulated yesterday! Managed to DTD last night and the day before so even though we won't be able to tonight I'm hoping we've done enough. Will try Sunday too just to round it off!!!!

Just at a giant play gym having coffee whilst the kids get all their energy out and did body combat this morning so feeling positive! I have a night to myself and debating whether to treat myself to pizza! How is the diet going @hoola23 @CShandy01? I always feel I should eat well after ovulation but I can't do that forever! I have my booster vaccine on Monday too so hoping that doesn't affect things! X

New to the site, on cycle 2 ttc for the first time. Currently approx 4DPO (according to period tracker) but can’t be sure as I was inconsistent with ovulation strips and didn’t notice much ewcm this month either.

We had sex most days leading up to predicted ovulation though and my boobs are now swollen and tender (normal pre period) which is apparently a good sign that ovulation has occurred.

I naively assumed it would just happen straight away, so was thoroughly disappointed when it didn’t happen last month. If it doesn’t happen this week I’m going to attempt to track body temp etc consistently for next month.

The previous 2 months I had very intense pelvic pain around ovulation which lasted around 5 days and made me concerned something was wrong. I went private for a scan and the consultant could find no explanation and said everything looked fine. Thankfully didn’t have the same pain this month either.

@hoola23 you're right on the positivity, but I always find that if I'm pessimistic then I can either be pleasantly surprised or just expecting the worst. I'm going to have to stop checking the cervix as well because I'll drive myself crazy 😂 we literally only DTD Sunday, Monday and Tuesday when I had EWCM. DH couldn't be arsed Wednesday and Thursday and then last night we ended up staying up super late playing a murder mystery which was HILARIOUS. I know it's too late to do anymore, but can't help but want to DTD as much as possible just to make sure!

@Bd1787 welcome!! I'm also on the TWW now, although not sure how many dpo I am exactly as I stopped tracking using OPK's to have a more chilled out month. 4th cycle of TTC No.2 for me, and just like you, thought it would happen straight just like it did with DD (conceived her 2nd cycle as 1st cycle was messed up from coming off the pill).

I'm also trying not to symptom spot as the first two cycles I was sure I was pregnant (had the lot) and BOOM! AF showed it's ugly head. Easier said than done though!

@newtolineofduty mmmmmm pizza!!! Do it! Treat yourself after all the DTD!! Diets still going! Going out tomo with family so that will be hard as we're going to lunch so I'll just try and eat low carb. I'm jealous your fertile window is done, not sure if this bit or the TWW is worse but I'm feeling confident I'm not going to obsess this month as I literally expect nothing, plus with no early testing I don't feel like I'm going to be counting the days down. My app says I've ovulated but I know that's wrong so I think my period will prob be due around 12th October so if it doesn't show I'm not going to test until 19th October. That's our two year wedding anniversary too so it could be lucky! Wish me luck🤣

@CShandy01 I think you've got a very good shot this month! Yeah I'd forget the cervix checking. Told me nothing when I was pregnant and it's not until you're over 4 weeks it goes soft and I don't think that's for everyone too! Are we going to agree a day to test? I've set 19th October if af doesn't show. It's about a week after I think my period is due becuase I can't do a repeat of last month! But I'm obviously a lot further behind you and @newtolineofduty

@hoola23 I think I've said Thursday 7th October maybe? If I did ovulate on Tuesday then AF should be due either the 5th or 6th.

@newtolineofduty yeah so my diet is non-existent really at the moment. Had a takeaway cake delivery yesterday after being scarred for life from buying DD new shoes....she thought she was in soft play....think we'll be banned from that shop forever more.

Having friends over tonight so that's a takeaway and plenty of booze too. I've actually been eating really well (as in good, healthy meals), but I had wine and pudding last night. Put on 2lbs as well 😵‍💫😵‍💫 will try and aim to lose it early next week and then see where I go. Honestly if I can just maintain at this stage I'll be happy!!

@CShandy01 Yes last month I convinced myself I had symptoms and went through so many pregnancy tests! I feel a bit calmer this month with the realisation that it might not happen and will take time, so hopefully I’ll be able to resist testing for at least the next week! X

@CShandy01 it sounds like you DTD absolutely perfectly-three nights in a row is awesome! We never manage that-just every other! That made me laugh about the food shop! I meant to say I HATED potty training too!

@hoola23 for me I hate the fertile week much more than the 2ww! I deffo don't plan on symptom spotting-it's just exhsusting and then when I get a negative I just feel resentful at all the headspace I have it! As well as the money spent on expensive pregnancy tests etc!

I think my period should be due 2 weeks today and no intention of testing early or even on the day it's due! X

@newtolineofduty @CShandy01 oh I so hope you both succeed this month! We need some positive stories!! We have to try not and obsess, completely relax and hopefully the two weeks go quickly!!

Forgot to say I did another cheap test just now and I'm up to 47%!! Looking at last months should get peak tomo or Monday I'm guessing so it's DTD every night now for 4-5 days! Feel exhausted just saying that🤣

@hoola23 it's great you've had a relatively normal cycle this month! You're doing so well to keep DTD! Yes all caught up with MAFSUK! I was appalled with morags friend and how morag spoke to her mum! It was great seeing Luke get annoyed! There are just no words to describe cranky! Marilyse clearly doesn't like him so not sure why she's pretending! X

@newtolineofduty I think morag is really toxic, and her friends were actually awful! I can't believe the way she spoke to her mum who clearly could see Luke's strengths. I get morag's point about not having a spark as I need to feel that too but she's so bloody mean to him! If he was doing that to her and putting her down, it would be perceived as abusive. She will end up alone if she doesn't rethink her needs!

Hi everyone, I'm 3 days before expected period and had some cramping so assuming I'll start my period soon. I couldn't help myself and did a cheap test, and can see a very faint line. No sure if it's there or I'm fooling myself 😩 it's not very clear on the picture

@FirsttimeEm there is the tiniest of hints but I think it's too early to be certain yet. I'd wait another couple of days if you can!! Hopefully this is it for you!!! Best of luck x

It's escalated so quickly, but I just got a peak! Woo! Pretty much bang on schedule so I'm happy about that! Think I'll ovulate tomo and annoyed we didn't DTD last night now 🙄 the amount of ewcm this month is ridiculous don't even think I'll bother with the pre seed🤣

@hoola23 thank you! it was a very faint line so trying not to get excited. The wait to test is unbearable I've got a clear blue that I will try my hardest to wait for Tuesday 🤞🏻

@hoola23 that's brilliant!! I was exactly the same about not DTD the night before my peak but the main day is the day before ovulation is the most important so get on it tonight! 😍 x

@FirsttimeEm that was me last month🤣 I got one of those at 9dpo which did develop but didn't last so I refuse to test early now (see if that lasts🤣) crossing everything for you! I'd only trust a test in another two days as if u test tomo it may not look any different. X

@FirsttimeEm I was a sucker for testing! I bought a pack of 20 cheap sticks and was sometimes doing 3 a day. It got RIDICULOUS! As @hoola23 I'd wait until either AF doesn't show, or maybe a few more days and do FREE as they tend to be a bit more obvious. Crossing my fingers for you and hopefully you'll get a BFP 🙂❤️

@newtolineofduty @hoola23 is it just me or do you guys get a bit paranoid about how often you should be DTD? Like how come it takes one bloody sperm to fertilise and egg, but it has to be at the right bloody moment and the right conditions. How do people get pregnant by accident?!?! 😂😂

@hoola23 and I was exactly the same about not using pressed. I wasn't going to anyway but did think it could be a possibility....but I think if I had then it would just have been a right mess 😂😂 TMI there so sorry about that!!

Desperately trying not to symptom spot here. Got my standard post ovulation weird cramping going on that'll last all the way up to AF rears it's ugly head no doubt!

@CShandy01 this has always baffled me why is it so hard to get pregnant when you hear so many people getting pregnant by accident or another one that bugs me "were trying but not trying" how are they lucky enough to fall pregnant without tracking everything

@CShandy01 I've been reflecting on that this week-I've felt really obsessed and distracted by trying to time it/do it every other day on the 'right' days and doing it on both peak days and I've realised I think it's because how often and when we DTD is literally the only thing we can control! In actual fact it's probably (depressingly) not the most important thing (as long as you're doing it at approx the right time!) x Given sperm stays alive for a couple of days I think it's actually more to do with egg/sperm/embryo quality which feels so out of our control, so I think that's why it's easy to focus on the DTD/timing side of it!!!

Talking of wetness (and this is deffo TMI) DP said I was so wet last night that he actually lost sensation!!!!!! So we had to take a break and try again! Luckily we were able to do it but we were so close to not! It's happened before on my wettest day which is obvs not ideal!!!!

On another note I'm having an intrusive thought that I've ovulated two eggs! I've had pains on both sides and I'm wondering if that explains the fact that I've had six days of mucus instead of two!!!!! X
