Think we need a new thread as I tried to post on the old thread and it wouldn't let me!! Please tag in anyone else I've missed who may want to join us here!

@CShandy01 how long is your luteal phase usually? I ovulated two days earlier than usual and my cycle was two days shorter than usual-my luteal phase (it turns out) Is pretty consistently 15 days, so you can work it out that way hun. But I think adding on afew days to stop you testing early is a good shout! X

@CShandy01 totally normal hun! 🤣🤣 I feel like everyone's responses to symptom questions are "I'd try a FRER" "check again firth first morning urine" and "not out till AF shows!" 🤣

@newtolineofduty I genuinely haven't got a clue. Either 14 or 15 days I think? I've never known exactly when I ovulate when using the OPK's - it's either 1 day or the other. So like last time I got a positive OPK on day 15, and I had a 31 day cycle. Time before I got a positive on day 13 and had a very very late 28 day cycle (pretty much close to midnight so probably was a 29 day cycle). So it really depends if I ovulate 2 days after the positive OPK or 1 day after the positive OPK. My gut says I have a 14 day luteal phase.

@CShandy01 I'd say 16 days to be safe!

My monitor didn't work this morning but I woke up to plenty of EWCM so I'm guessing today is my peak! X

@newtolineofduty @CShandy01 argh getting really bloody annoyed with this testing crap! Wish I just didn't bother this month! My cheap opk are even fainter than yesterday morning if that's even possible! So I'm either going to ovulate in like cd20000 or it's already happened on like cd5 or something ridiculous. DTD two days in a row but defo won't bother tonight! I'm exhausted from work but really put the effort in just in case🤣 the fancy cb monitor is still saying high though

@newtolineofduty the only reason why I said 14 or 15 is because I've been cheeky previously and when I ejected the sticker from the digital reader, the control line was always darker. Then I tested the following day despite getting the smiley face and the two lines were the same darkness, so I'm assuming that was my peak. I used to use the pink clear blue rather than the purple ones, so I think I always got the start of the peak rather than the middle of it.

Oh bless @hoola23 what day did you start testing on? How long are your cycles usually?

@CShandy01 started testing cd9 I think. Cycles are around 26-27 days and ov is always around cd12/13 ish but by this point I usually have a line on the cheap opk but it's so bloody faint still!

@CShandy01 just had my first weigh in, 4lbs off. Not the best but I did have half a wrap the other day and water hasn't been perfect so I'm happy with that! Just 100000lbs to go🤣

@hoola23 bloody hell that's amazing!! Congratulations chick 🙂🙂 it's all about the steady steady weight loss as you'll be more likely to keep it off.

I haven't even got on the scales in about 10 days...I really really should. Guess I'm avoiding the number that'll be on them 😁😁

@CShandy01 pretty sure it's mostly water weight in the first week but it makes me happy🤣 I refuse to know my actual weight. I don't even own scales!🤣

@CShandy01 I'm jealous you're in the TWW! I'm always happiest when fertile week has just finished! Then the impending sense of doom starts around 8dpo!

@hoola23 that's so strange that the two OPKs don't match up! I wonder If you'll have two surges? The first one being mega early? X

Is everyone testing with OPKs twice a day around the time you think ovulation is?

So far no positives but only CD 11... I'm only testing once at 11am but they do say you shouldn't have emptied your bladder for at least four hours! There is no way I can manage that, I'm always drinking tea and water 😬 hope it doesn't affect it two much. I think for the next few days I might try and test twice a day?

In most people the luteal phase is 14 days, very steady. Mine is 13-14 days.

@CShandy01 in a way the TWW, as hard as it is, is a bit less stress inducing as you have done all you can :)

@plantbasedlondoner yes I used to test twice a day once I was around CD 11, just to see where the peak could be. Mainly because it's hard to know how long it lasts for. I actually found that when I did a test around 10pm then the next morning, the difference was HUGE.

And you're right about the TWW. I mean in a way you can't help but wonder if everything that could be done was done, but realistically, I don't want to go down that route of "we must DTD NOW!" Like some sort of drill sergeant. We said we'd DTD tonight just to be safe, but I think this'll be the hardest TWW having not really done anything other than watch EWCM.

@newtolineofduty god it really does start at 8dpo doesn't it?!!! I'm making a pact with myself that I will not test until AF is late (even though that'll be hard to predict) so I'm going to go with Thursday 7th October 😂😂 might mark it in my calendar!!

That sounds like a good date to work towards @CShandy01! It's great your DH can so readily be up for it as and when needs be! Mine is really affected if there's a sense of pressure and even if I'm totally chilled he still feels it and it can make it really tricky to reach a climax sometimes!!,

@MrsRosaline hi lovely, hope you're ok. I guess you could call it trying🤣 I'm DTD but ovulation isn't close at all when it should be around now so either I won't ovulate this month or it will be super late. You can try as soon as you're ready and my gp said you're more fertil after a chemical so we shall see x

Hi ladies, just checking in! I have finally made it to the more interesting half of the month! Got some horrendous ovulation spotting yesterday (although cervix and cervical mucus would argue I wasn't ovulating, much less trustworthy than the spotting though) so my partner and I DTD last night. Quite unhappy with myself though as before that we hadn't DTD since Friday. Hopefully yesterday was enough though!
So that means I'm officially on 1DPO! Already started symptom spotting too😭

@hereforthefood I think (and I mean think because I haven't got a bloody clue) I'm 2dpo, so I'm with you on the TWW!!

@hoola23 that's so weird about the test being negative but all the EWCM!!! Maybe you'll have a sudden jump soon?? Does your CM usually go clear before ovulation?

@CShandy01 it's so odd! Ewcm usually starts around cd8 ish and stays the whole time until day after ov which is roughly cd13. CD11 and literally nothing on opk. It could possibly come in a few days but I always have a slight line on opk after my period finishes

@hoola23 they must be faulty! I'd say the EWCM is much more reliable!

I used another stick when I got home from work and straight to peak! DTD tonight and will try again tomo but I'm wishing we'd done it last night 😭 x

@newtolineofduty ohhhhh yay! Hope it's a lucky DTD for you!! You're peak for two days so today and tomorrow and if you can the day after and you're good!

DP is out sat @hoola23 grrrr! I haven't had any EWCM this afternoon though-seems to have 'dried up' after this morning so im worried that we've missed it which is why I think we should have gone last night! But we did it tuesday so hopefully some of that is still alive! 😂 x have you managed every night as planned? Xx

@newtolineofduty oh I think you've got a very good shot! My ewcm slows down when I get my first peak too so I wouldn't worry.

Sacked it off tonight as the opk is stark white. Will do it again tomo and do every other day until I see some movement on these sticks!
