My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

Oh no @Chivari
Fingers crossed for the next cycle!

I’m 8 days away from AF (according to my app). We’re only on cycle one so we haven’t done anything special and I feel like you guys are way more scientific and more knowledgeable than me…I might be calling for your help if we have multiple cycles with no luck!

Chivari · 27/10/2021 22:10

Thanks for the OPK recommendations!

I’m actually really confused. Thought AF had arrived, but it hasn’t. I’m cramping but nothing else? Only the smallest amount of blood. No idea what is happening!

madeleine85 · 28/10/2021 06:36

@Chivari hopefully implantation bleeding... fingers crossed for you!

xxfxx · 28/10/2021 10:11

Hey ladies I’ve managed to catch up with all of this thread so many positives congratulations!

We are trying to conceive our second child. We have a little girl who is nearly 3 and this is our first month of trying. Currently in my fertile window and then the dreaded tww!

Chanel05 · 28/10/2021 10:23

@Chivari any updates?!

OP posts:
Chivari · 28/10/2021 10:38

@Chanel05 nothing yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had cramping last night so I thought here we go! But then this morning nothing. Did a test which was BFN again. So confused!

GreenFlipFlop · 28/10/2021 11:56

@xxfxx Welcome and good luck for the first fertile window! Smile
@Chivari How weird! Could it be late implantation maybe?

madeleine85 · 28/10/2021 16:58

@Chivari if it was implantation then it usually takes 3-5 days to get a BFP (3 being on the FRER, it would take at least 5 to show on the normal tests). The HCG production starts at implantation from what I was reading when I drove myself crazy last week :)

Chivari · 28/10/2021 18:39

Thanks @madeleine85 that’s really interesting! I still have nothing this evening, not even discoloured CM now. I have cramping again this evening and a headache though. I’ll wait a few days and see what happens.

Hope everyone else is doing ok! How was your movie day @Indianna2006? Any sign of AF for you?

Indianna2006 · 28/10/2021 21:06

@Chivari movie day was good thanks

Yep it arrived today in a gush 🙈🙈🙈 oh well I was expecting it so no surprise there.

Got few nice pamper treats this month and nice things coming up so just gonna try look forward to them and try to stop stressing about a time frame. Just makes it so much harder.

I’m certain more BFPs are not far away ladies.

How’s your day been hun? Anymore signs? xx

Moonshine160 · 29/10/2021 08:17

Morning everyone. I ended up doing some meditation last night to try and alleviate the anxiety a bit. I’m only on cycle day 5 of my second month TTC but I keep getting myself worked up thinking “what if it doesn’t happen for ages or not at all?”. I conceived our DS on the first month of trying but all I seem to hear are stories about people conceiving quick the first time but taking forever on the second time, or vice Versa! Anyone else feeling a bit anxious about everything?

Curlywurly3 · 29/10/2021 12:30

@Moonshine160 similar story here, pregnant pretty much straight away with DD who is now 2.5 and also got married last month! Also on 5DPO

Moonshine160 · 29/10/2021 12:58

@Curlywurly3 how strange! :) hope you had a lovely wedding. Is this your first cycle of TTC? I’m on cycle 2 now

Curlywurly3 · 29/10/2021 13:16

@Moonshine160 the wedding was perfect thank you and worth re-arranging twice, although if it happened when it should have done I could have a newborn now!

Three of my friends who all struggled with their first are now pregnant with their 2nd and all got pregnant straight away. I fell pregnant straight away with my first so worried I might not be so lucky this time! Yes this is our first month TTC

Maddie2802 · 31/10/2021 08:22

9dpo and faint lines 🤞🏻

@Maddie2802 eeee looking promising!

Mim21 · 31/10/2021 12:12

Eek @Maddie2802 super exciting looks super promising for 9DPO! Love seeing the positives gives me hope!

wegoagain · 31/10/2021 13:40

Good line for 9dpo. Glad to see another positive on this lucky thread. Sorry to all those who weren't lucky this month. I am 1dpo so the waiting game begins

CShandy01 · 31/10/2021 20:19

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share this with you all and to share my experience with TTC DC no.2.

  • DD was conceived on the second month of trying. We had just come back from honeymoon and so we were super chilled.
  • Since having DD my cycles have gone all over the place. I've been anywhere from 25 days to 31 days. Before DD I was 28 days from right ovary and 27 days from left ovary (yes I can actually feel which ovary I ovulate off 😂).
  • This was my 5th cycle of TTC. First one we just saw how it went, second and third I used OPK's; checked cervix and CM pretty much every hour on the hour, and genuinely thought I was pregnant both times. 4th cycle I decided to stop testing completely and just got to know my body. I really tried to calm it down because I was getting so stressed it was making me ill. This cycle (cycle 5) I carried on with that and used EWCM to keep an eye out for ovulation. We DTD 3 times this month (Fri, Sat and Sun and I'm certain I ovulated on the Sunday).
  • The only other thing I did different this month was taking the pregnacare conception. DH was the one who suggested that I may be lacking vitamins because of running around after DD, so I decided to give it a go.
  • Had weird pinching pain and horrible aches in my right groin and right hip from about 6dpo right up until 12dpo. That was it - no other symptom or sign. And I genuinely thought I had done my groin in from over stretching in Pilates.
  • Saw the tiniest, tiniest bit of brown stained CM at 11dpo, thought it was odd as I never spot before a period, but didn't assume it was implantation as I never had it with DD. Of all times and places, this also happened to be on the day of mr grandad's funeral, so my emotions were all over the place.
  • Test below was yesterday at 13dpo (day before AF due) around 4pm so wasn't FMU. We had just spent about £70 on booze in Tesco and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get smashed with a wee nugget growing away inside 🤣.

If I can say one thing, it would be that this was the first month we didn't plan in any DTD; we were very spontaneous over a weekend and made it feel like we were those newly married people again. I also stopped prodding my cervix and tried to relax - easier said than done in the TWW I know. The pregnacare also helped in terms of making my EWCM last a little longer too.

Sending baby dust to everyone. 💖💖💖

Congratulations @CShandy01 lovely news! Thanks for the background too, always interesting to hear what people have done the month they get their BFP ✨

GreenFlipFlop · 02/11/2021 08:33

Congratulations @Maddie2802 and @CShandy01!! Good to get some positives this month!

I have no idea what's going on with my cycle! My OPKs have been positive for about 5 days?! So I'm not sure if I've ovulated twice or if I ovulated earlier or what's going on! Hoping to catch it this month but the advice after a chemical is to wait till after your next period maybe because hormones etc are all over the place?

Goodgoodthings · 04/11/2021 09:52

Hi everyone, CD1 for me again and feeling pretty positive about this month and hopefully feeling good around ovulation! Happy to see that my cycles seem to be becoming a little more regular (last three cycles have been 36, 35 and 33 days) as still breastfeeding and have PCOS.

Does anyone else have a shorter than average literal phase? Mine seems to be 10 days so not sure if this is going to be tricky.

How is everyone doing? Hope you're getting on ok @GreenFlipFlop ? The OPKs are so confusing at times, really hoping you have a lucky month!

GreenFlipFlop · 04/11/2021 14:43

@Goodgoodthings Hi! I'm good thanks! I'm hoping this month will be a good one for you! I'm glad your cycles are a bit more regular! Are you using OPK's too?
I have no idea what's going on this month - I have no idea what DPO I am so I'm just kinda waiting and see if my period comes around the 12th! Part of me is hopeful for this month, but the other part of me is scared of testing at all because I don't want the hope and then a chemical pregnancy again! Sad Just got to think positive thoughts!!

wegoagain · 04/11/2021 15:30

@goodgoodthings glad your feeling positive. Fingers crossed this is your month! I have a luetal phase of around 10 days, DS took 16 months and a round of Letrozole to conceive but not sure of this had anything to do with it. I'm not really expecting things to happen for me for another few months at least but we keep trying! Tempted to get in touch with doctor to see if I can be referred for Letrozole again as feel the only way it will work for me is with extra help 🤷🏻‍♀️

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 16:39

Hi everyone. Just wanted to update you all that I have bleeding today and I've had a CP confirmed from the hospital. Internal and external scans so no cysts or any abnormalities, so there isn't anything more sinister going on thank god. Held DD a little tighter when I got back!

Just having a bit of a thought here in my way of trying to process stuff...

So this month I tried pregnacare for the first time and obviously it worked. But I'm wondering whether it gave my body extra things it needed but was also going against nature? Like if I hadn't taken the pregnacare would I have just had a regular period and not got a positive test like I did? Does that make sense?

DH is keen for me to take them again as he says they worked once, so despite it ending in a CP, it could work again. Part of me agrees, but the other half isn't sure. What do you all think? I'd really value your opinions xxx
