Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

Nothing exciting to report here. 9dpo. My boobs have been sore but it’s just from increased progesterone I think and my chest has been tight as I’ve just been a bit stressed.

Not feeling or expecting to be pregnant tbh. I got like this last time after 6 months of negative tests..like I actually don’t get excited to test? Is anyone else like that yet? I can’t picture it being two lines like I could before 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway hope your all okay. We went to a party last night for halloweeen so today has been a slow Sunday!

I hate the days leading up to a period. I'm on that part now on attempts #2. I normally have terrible cramps as early as a week before my period starts, but nothing so far. 2 days to go until I'm meant to start. Got to try and stay away from the early pregnancy tests section and just try and wait another week... It's all the tension of; "was that a cramp? I hope not! Might be implantation?"
I just hate that all early signs of pregnancy can also be linked to periods. Cramps, mood swings, lower immune system, peeing a lot more... Nightmare. Can't I just sleep for a week and move past this 'im not sure' stage? 😆

I’m not going to test @Indianna2006 and just wait and see if AF arrives on Tuesday. I test early loads on first cycle as I thought I’d get pg straight away again like last time. I’m pretty sure AF will start, although still have 0 symptoms of anything?! I know what you mean about not excited to test. I’m just trying to be as relaxed as possible. How are you feeling generally?

@Chivari yeah that’s fair enough. I feel just normal really. Like period will turn up in 3 days etc.

Dunno just feel a bit funny about it after this cycle I think. Like thought we’d be pregnant within 6 cycles/ months tbh. And not sure how I feel about being here. And the gap and so we just think let’s just have DD.

I don’t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂 just wait for AF and see what happens I think.

@Indianna2006 I totally know what you’re saying, but as you know it’s very normal for it to take 6-12 months for a healthy couple so don’t worry! And also, AF may not arrive and you may be pg, you just never know 😘 it’s such a journey of ups and downs and can be seriously emotional. I’m very relaxed this month, especially with our dtd journey this month. I am literally expecting AF 100%, but I know if it does arrive I’ll definitely still feel disappointed.
So are you due Wednesday?

@Chivari yeh I know it’s totally normal. I guess just somehow in my head I thought everything I’d had to battle and been through to get here. Universe owed me one 🤣🤣 for it to be easy and smooth. what a joke. LOL. 🙄

Yeh don’t think we will try for a full 12 months. We’ve said until early Feb. So maybe another 2/3 cycles. Just hoping it happens in that time but out of my hands. Let the fucking universe decide 😂🙄 bah humbug.

Due Thursday or friday. But probabaly friday as last few cycles luteal phase has been 13 days

@Indianna2006 how long did it take you to conceive first time? If you did stop in a few months, would you still be off BC?
Hope you’re feeling ok today. So AF is due for me tomorrow, my boobs are a bit sore today and I have had a few waves of nausea. I’m also a bit bloated but again all PMS signs. Will just wait and see as if AF is coming she will definitely turn up by tomorrow night.

@Chivari so I’ve had cycle 1 and then DD was cycle 7.
So if doesn’t happen next cycle it’s taken longer than my other two times I’ve fallen.

I’ve never been on BC. Can’t have combined pull and mini gives me migraines. We used to just used condoms around ovulation time as I know my cycle well. Pretty much done that my whole life LOL. But yeh that will be hurt to go back to but it’s just the gap get so big. Hopefully there will be no need and BFP is around the corner somewhere.

But throwing everything at next cycle, gonna try do some relaxing treatments as think my life is just stressful in general which I suspect does not help!!

I always get bloated before AF too. You never know hun 🤞🏼🤞🏼

But after while does just lose the excitement. I remember testing on cycle 7 with DD. Expecting a negative. And saw a faint line. And just thought nah. It’s a trick. Literally didn’t test for another 3 days. 😂 And then got a blazing positive. But I wasn’t really excited. Took a while to sink in.

Not like first time first cycle it happened. We were ecstatic lol.

Keeping everything crossed for you ladies in the TWW 🤞🏻🤞🏻 sounds like some promising symptoms out there

@Indianna2006 I feel for you it probably feels like more pressure thinking you only have a set time to get pregnant by, I have 8 years difference between me and my brother, we get on, and we didn't have to fight over toys hahah, I think there's pros and cons to all age gaps!

If we get pregnant any time soon we'd likely have a year of double nursery costs which will be fun 🥴

@Chivari I tested this morning at 11dpo but with super sensitive tests. BFN. So that’s me out. Expecting AF Thursday or Friday.
Quite glad I’ve got it out the way though and know 100% to expect it.

Ugh so hard not to be disheartened 😫😫

@Mim21 it does feel like more pressure. And DH did say this morning it prob doesn’t help as it didn’t want the gap to keep getting bigger and bigger cos we had to start late due to health complications with me.

And so just thought I’d fall before time frame it took to get DD. But clearly it’s going to take longer which I don’t understand why when we’ve been pregnant twice 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Such a faff this ttc business is.

Big hugs @Indianna2006 - at least we can both be hormonal together! Totally agree though, it’s so hard not to be disheartened 😢 I wish we could just see inside our bodies and know exactly what’s going on.
I’m only 3 months in but feel already like I’m losing the will. How can you get pg so quickly first time but it take a lot longer second time?! I’m worried that because I had a womb infection after birth with my dd, that it’s caused scaring and that’s the problem. I guess unless I went private though, I’d have to wait for a year to get any kind of investigation on the NHS.
Next month I am going to use cheap OPK’s but I’m not mentioning them to DH as I don’t need a repeat of last month.

@Chivari yeh I know hun 🥺 I had that with trying again for DD as it happened to quick I couldn’t work out why it took seven cycles but it did happen in the end. And so I had this expectation a bit. But hoped it would be quicker than what DD took. But evidently not.

My friends 1st took one cycle. And her second took 10 months. There isn’t actually any rhyme or reason sometimes. Think first quick one is sometimes luck when it doesn’t happen again and again like that.

Bleugh deffo normal. My boobs get so sore and my skin gets so bad. Just pig out these few days until it turns up. And start on cycle 7 😫😫 ffs can’t believe I’m saying that again..but it as my lucky one for DD 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi everyone just thought i'd check in - had my flu jab last Tuesday thinking id be fine but it made me really poorly and ended up being unwell over ovulation day, though I did manage to take a positive opk on Sunday so at least I have a bit more of a clearer idea of my "window" for next time. So I am 99% sure I'm out this month!

Bit pissed off to have missed the window knowing I've got a fair few weeks until next cycle's ovulation but never mind! Next window for me starts 24th Nov 😂🤦‍♀️. Sending everyone lots of luck and hope everyone's feeling okay.

Had my flu jab yesterday and feel okay so far 🤞🏻 my apps say I'm 4dpo but I've been having wind like tummy pain all day but no wind (tmi sorry 😳) not sure if this even means anything.
Due AF on the 5th November 🎆

I'm on cd14 and got my static smiley this afternoon after having my first flashing this morning 😂. I ovulated on cd16 last cycle and my cheapies aren't yet positive so I am giving it a good go tonight, tomorrow morning and tomorrow evening at least!

I think AF arrived... that would have been way too easy if BFP happened on month one of TTC, putting all the weird symptoms down to birth control exiting hormones. Best of luck ladies, fingers crossed for you all!

I’m awaiting AF to show its face. Tested today and I’m super crampy and cried all day so know I’m out 🙈. Onto cycle 7 which was lucky number for DD so keep your fingers and toes crossed for me 🤞🏼

Cramping defo is such a mixed signal! I've had a fair bit mildly on and off and thought it was AF!
And if the bitch shows, if it's any concelation number 7 is our lucky number too so I definitely wish you all the best 💕

I'm OK, I'm super paranoid and struggling to overcome my fear of miscarrying since we miscarried before DD. DH is getting annoyed with me because I felt my "symptoms" died off a bit yesterday and I was just convinced that its over! He says I need to stop thinking like that but it's so hard. We've booked a 6 and half week scan to see what's going on etc then if I know implantation has gone OK I'm hoping it will help me!
I haven't joined any Pregnancy threads, I just feel comfortable sitting here watching your guys news lol.. Your my comfort blanket! But equally I find it hard because I don't want to seem ungrateful on this thread?! So I've just stayed quiet 😔❤️ but love talking to you ladies!!

Ahh hun I know exactly how you feel. We had mmc before our DD too and wasn’t found until my dating scan. 😫 so WHEN we get pregnant as I nearly said if then 😂 I’ll be having a early scan too just for reassurance. Always an anxiety anyway especially when you’ve been through it.

Just gotta take everyday as it comes. An your are more than welcome to hang around!! Don’t feel you have to scarper and not chat because you got your BFP. Course not hun. We like to see your updates and keep cheering us on lol!

Hi! I’ve somehow managed to read this whole thread today - all 31 pages 🙈
I was wondering if I could join please? Feeling a bit lonely and down! My DS is 2.5 years old and I’ve just started cycle 2 of TTC our second baby. I fell pregnant with DS during the first cycle and naively I thought/hoped that the same would happen again for baby number 2 but it didn’t and I felt gutted. I thought I had so many symptoms too but it was obviously just my mind playing tricks on me. I know I really need to chill because this is only the second cycle but I’ve somehow already managed to convince myself that it isn’t going to happen for ages, or not at all! I didn’t want a huge age gap between the DCs so in hindsight I should have started TTC sooner but we had to postpone our wedding by over a year because of covid so we only got married last month.
Sorry for the rant. How is everyone feeling? Is anyone going to do anything differently this month? I’ve been using the cheap OPKs but think I’m going to invest in some clear blue ones this time. x

@Moonshine160 I am feeling the exact same way as you chick! DD is 27 months and I fell pregnant with her pretty much straight away. I'm currently 10dpo on cycle 5 and I genuinely didn't think it would take this long. If I had known I would have started earlier, I was just naive and assume that because it happened so early last time, it'll happen again!!

First two cycle is genuinely assumed I was pregnant because of all my symptoms. This cycle I've stopped doing all testing and just gone off EWCM and cervix for ovulation. Started taking pregnacare this month too hoping that'll make a difference. Due AF on Sunday I think so we'll find out!

If it's any consolation I used clear blue OPK's for DD and the first month of using them I fell pregnant: this time around it's been a bit harder because my cycles are all over the place. Hence why I've ditched them this time 🙂🙂 xx
