Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

@Indianna2006 anyone would think you work in fertility! 🙌🏻😃 you also seem really relaxed about it all, which is such a good thing. It’s so easy to get sucked in to becoming obsessive, which is never a good thing!
I knew a little bit about how ovulation affects AF and when it starts. I just wonder whether because I’m constantly thinking about if I’m ovulating, whether that’s having an affect on me actually ovulating! We have been dtd every other day since cd8 and agreed last night that we will continue that until the end of the week (around cd19/20) so hopefully we have then covered the fertile week.

@Chivari haha oh god I’m really not relaxed when AF shows up. I had a right melt down this cycle. Fed up of waiting 😂😫 but it happens when it happens.. and mentally I was a bit prepared for this rollercoaster after trying with DD.
Stills sucks tho.

@Indianna2006 yes I think that’s where I definitely was not prepared. I’ve also had a few friends get pregnant with 2nd babies within their 1st and 2nd cycles which just makes me feel a bit rubbish! I wish we had started earlier now… but you just don’t know what the future holds!

Hi all, do you mind if I join. I have a 16 month old DD and really want to try for a second. We are going to start this month .

I forgot how much of a pain TTC actually is. It should be fun (in theory), but the faff of ovulation sticks, temping etc and trying to pin DH down at exactly the right time kind of ruins the magic a bit!

Also, I am worried as I am almost two years older then last time and my cycles used to be exact now are all over the place and I am worried it won’t happen easily this time. Probably getting ahead of myself though.

Is everyone enjoying the TTC experience?

Hi ladies, mind if I join? Also trying to conceive number 2, DD is 16 months old. Trying to be chilled and see how it goes but I'm already annoying my husband talking about it constantly, "if we got pregnant this month, the baby would be due in XXX" etc. Fingers crossed none of us have long to wait for that BFP!

Not sure I’d say I’m enjoying the journey, but not hating it. Just finding it frustrating and confusing. I wish you could just go inside your body and find out exactly what’s happening sometimes

@Chivari my DD is 3.5. I had health issues so we didn’t think I could have a second. Although have wanted to try for another for 2 years almost. So way beyond what I thought we’d end up with.

But just lucky I’m in a place we can now try and I can hopefully carry successfully 🤞🏼

If we’d of fallen first cycle we’d of had 3 years 11 months gap. But now it will be nearer 4.5 but it is what it is. And I’m lucky for DD and we have a fab relationship.

@Indianna2006 your knowledge is amazing! My DD is 3 and 1 month.. Our age gap will be what it will be too.. I always think if we catch again and have a successful pregnancy id just love the experience to do it all again.. And see DD with a sibling! 😍
@chivari I know we'd said before about our other friends catching so quickly and makes us feel left behind 😭 I defo agree with stress affecting ovulation! And I do think TTC can cause extra anxiety and stress.

Thank you @Chivari @Hope18 - I've just had a read back through some posts and there have been loads of BFPs! Hopefully that lucky run will continue for us all! I've been off the pill since July and so far periods have been pretty regular 27/28 days. I conceived my daughter after 6 cycles with an ectopic pregnancy in the middle so expecting similar this time...plus of course I'm now nearly 2 years older! Hoping with opks and some well timed DTD we'll be lucky soon. 2 of my friends have just had babies with another 2 due soon and I keep thinking what a lovely time of year it would be to have a little one. I'm a September baby and my husband is December so we love this time of year and it would be well spaced out across the year with my daughter's birthday in May.

Totally agree with you both @Hope18 and @Indianna2006 and age gap will be what it will be. We would like between 3-4 years and I think if 1st is older it makes it easier anyway!

Soooo all of this afternoon I’ve been having sharp twinges in my lower left side, almost like it’s coming from my hip. I just checked my CM and I have LOADS of EWCM! My cervix is also very high, open and soft. But I did another OPK which showed a bloody flashing smiley face?! The lines do seem a little darker today though… I wonder if I’m ovulating? My DH is away tonight but we dtd yesterday so should be ok. And I’ll make sure I grab him when he is back tomorrow 😂
I’m on cd16 so definitely a possibility. This month is the first month I’ve had the twinges too

OPK update pic - 2 at the top are from today (one this morning and one this afternoon). I feel like the 2 top are slightly darker??

Hi everyone! Not posted in a while, on CD8 and started OPKs this cycle. Flo thinks I'll ovulate the 19th with 15th-21st being 'chance to get pregnant'. I don't know whether to start DTD everyday till after ovulation which hopefully I'll see with OPKs or if this will be too much, I don't want to be tired out before peak fertile days! 😂

@mrssamrowley definitely get what you mean about being a few years older.. I definitely think my cycle is completely different and I find that fascinating as a few years doesn't seem that long?!

Sounds such a good sign with cramps too. I tend to get those every month.. Sometimes quite painful! Mind you I don't tolerate pain at all 😂

I'm probably about 3 days minimum 5 days max DPO.. Only thing is the usual CM change to a more cloudy thicker consistency ( sorry guys tmi!) 😂 but I hate that I read up on things on Google as Google says everything could be an " early sign" 🙄 I know I shouldn't 😂🙈
Slight back ache yesterday but we are also walking lots while we are away. Ofc too early for implantation yet anyways.. I'm so nervous for AF coming already and got all the way until 23rd to go! 😭X

@Maddie2802 exciting entering a new window! 😍😍 I would DTD every other until positive OPK if your doing them or least until you see a slight change in darkness in test lines? Ofc that's just my opinion! That's my plan for next month 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know we get tired and sometimes then the important day doesn't end up happening for us!

Morning girls! @Hope18 CM change sounds positive! I know it changes to cloudy/white during the luteal phase and then will continue to increase if pg. fingers and toes crossed for you! The TWW is honestly the hardest time and it feels like it drags. But you’ve only actually got just over a week if you think about it.

So this morning I got a STATIC SMILEY FACE!! Thank the lord!!! 🙌🏻 DH should be home later so I’ll definitely be jumping on him ASAP 😂 I ovulate a lot later than expected though, I’m in CD17 today!

Hopeful for you @Maddie2802 🤞🏻 We are definitely due some more BFP’s soon.

@Babyboom1990 I’m not sure how sensitive the dr tests are, but like you said it is definitely really early. How many DPO is she now?

Blank circle for me this morning on CD11. Other two cycles was flashing smiley for me this CD so expecting maybe slightly later than normal ovulation for me too.

But will be DTD every other day anyway until

@chivari yeah I also notice how I usually get this then usually nothing before AF so if this continues I won't help but get excited haha but knowing my luck it will dissappear as per. 😂🙄

@Indianna2006 you were definitely right! I honestly didn’t think I’d ovulate this late, but clearly I do? Like you said, you sometimes don’t until day 17. Hoping for flashing smilies for you soon! Is today the first day you tested?

@Hope18 keep positive, I have a good feeling this month that one of us is going to get a BFP! My AF is due on 26th which means my luteal phase will only be 11/12 days which I’m hoping isn’t a bad thing?!

@Babyboom1990 sore breasts and headache all sound really positive. If AF is due in only 4 days then she hasn’t got too long to wait until she knows for definite. Fingers crossed for her!
