My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

@careynurse hmmm I’m not sure… if it’s more than a bit of brown/pink spotting I wouldn’t think it was implantation, but 8dpo is very early for AF to arrive. And you said it’s quite light and on/off so could be implantation.

We are now heading into cycle 6 🙄😂 my DD is 3.5 so time is of the essence I feel for me. I really want it to happen soooon!

Just trying to keep my fingers crossed for before Christmas 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I used clearblue opks last two months and they are good. I know we’ve deff been timing right so haven’t worried about that front!

It is so hard to keep up, especially with who is still trying as we have seen so many positives!

I am 5dpo on cycle 3 of using OPKs but regular dtd with no protection since May. I plan to test next Thursday but I am really not feeling hopeful this month at all

It's that time of year now isn't it! All the coughs and colds are coming.

My DD was 3 about 2 weeks ago so wanted to start trying for number 2. How long did it take with DD if you don't mind me asking :)
My DD was a surprise and so this is all new to me. My cycles are getting a bit longer each month too so think OPKs will help me not to worry I've missed ovulation!

Hopefully we get our BFP before Christmas 🤞🏻

Were cycle 2.. No idea on ovulation day. I'd been blaming my weird shorter cycle last month on covid but I've done some reading and it says folic acid can cause cycle interruptions too? So no idea..

@Maddie2802 well when we started trying for first baby. I fell first cycle so straight away. But mc that pregnancy at 13 weeks.

An then DD took 7 cycles from then. Which I couldn’t fathom! But just how it was 🤷🏻‍♀️ So my two pregnancies were like chalk and cheese.

And obv I’m now on cycle 6 so hoping it will be soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Haha @Hope18 that did make me laugh! 😂 did you say it was a caravan holiday? Last month I suggested to to DH that we try every day around my ovulation and by day 3 he was like really??! Honestly I thought these men had stamina!
How long did it take you with your first baby? Yes, we are on cycle 3. Really really hoping this is our month and clear blue OPK’s work. We got pregnant first try with our DD so I just feel like something is wrong this time, but need to remember that it’s totally normal to take 6-12 months! I think I might shed a tear if AF arrives again, but trying to keep positive.
Center parcs has been so lovely and a very welcome break!

I fell first time. Then second time took 7 months! I was not a happy bunny 😂😂 but therefore more realistic this time around that it would take 6 months ish. Even though it’s annoying.

And my friend fell first time her DS and second baby took 10 months! No rhyme or reason to that really! It’s just a stupid process!

We literally are so the same, I could cry! Lol! Fell first cycle of trying with DD. We fell in late Sept 2017 but MC Nov 2017..tried again Jan 18 and fell.

Fast forward to now and I'm acting like it will never happen for us and its only cycle 2. I know it's ridiculous thinking like that.. But just can't get it out of my mind.. 🙄

So you haven't had static smiley yet? And what's your cycle length etc? Xx

It’s just hard as there was definitely an expectation it would be quick again this time even though I kept saying I’m ‘prepared’ for it to take longer. I have another friend who fell first try with first but took 6 months with second. I also have friends who have been trying for 12+ months for their 1st and haven’t had any luck so far. So I need to count my lucky stars! What cycle are you on now?

Haha bless you - I’m sure your parents can do some babysitting 😝 your DH sounds very good. Mine definitely isn’t that in to it, yet… but he is definitely good at ‘listening’ to my chat about CM, periods, symptoms, sensitive nipples etc etc. 😂
I’m so with you on how I’m feeling too. I literally googled can you get IVF for 2nd baby the other day…. I really need to stop worrying. It’s easier said than done though!

So this morning I got just a blank circle, which I expected as I’m only on cycle day 8. I’m assuming my flashing smiley will come over the weekend. I have no idea though! The last 2 months since coming off the pill I’ve had the worst ovulation symptoms though. Bloating, sore nipples, and a feeling like my cervix aches. Sex isn’t very comfortable for a few days either. Not sure if you or anyone else has experienced similar? I have a 28 day cycle, what about you?

@Chivari I’ve done 5 cycles. So literally out just started cycle 6 so really hoping it won’t be too much longer for me! I didn’t expect to wait as long as DD took as my cycles took a while to settle after mc. But 6 months ish is average so trying not to think too much into it yet 😂 but I’ve been pregnant twice so that gives me comfort too.

I always get ovulation pain! Bloated and crampy for a day. Means I always know it’s happened tho!

I'm 8dpo and I need talking out of doing a cheapie tomorrow morning! I've felt all sorts of twinges which is silly because when I was pregnant with dd I had no signs at all!!

I'm working tomorrow (I work pt) and I think well if it's a bfn I'll be so busy at work cos it's my first day in. However, if it by some miracle was a bfp then life would be epic 😂.

@Chanel05 what I’ve done in the past to stop myself testing is to promise myself I’ll wait until a certain day. I also remembered how much money I wasted in our first month trying by doing tests! 😂
I then try and not think about it and keep myself busy. Someone said the other day to make sure you have no tests in the house then when you miss your period you’ll have to go out and buy one especially

@Chivari I truly don't want the disappointment! I know it'll be a bfn so I don't know why I have a tinge of excitement. I have clear blue digital and cheapies from last time that are still in date! I've only ever done digitalis though when I've had clear bfps at at least 13dpo.

@Chanel05 don’t do it. Very unlikely to get a positive at 9dpo. Be lucky if you did. And you’ll only be disappointed when it’s negatives. Hold out until 12dpo at least.
Just think waste of money. It won’t give me a straight answer cos if it’s a negative I’ll just think it’s too early anyway.

So think I’m 10dpo today, woke up, had one test in the house and couldn’t resist doing it. Deep down I knew but was prepared for it not to show yet! Still on the faint side but there!

So I got my first flashing smiley face this morning…. I’m CD10 so I’m expecting a few more days of flashing before hopefully a static!

@PartyPotato I'm out! Still lightly bleeding and temp still down.
Think we are out this month too as hubby away in the week until Nov, and we only have weekends! Likely hood it will coincide with ovulation is poor! Oh well!

@CBB2021 that gives me hope as I am just into my fertile window in cycle 3! Really hoping for this month but can’t help feeling a bit like it isn’t going to happen 🤦🏽‍♀️ It’s not helping today that our dd woke at 5am!
