My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

Hey @Hope18 I started doing them when i got my period back but I was still breastfeeding as I just wanted to get an idea of what was going on as my cycles were really long, knowing we were wanting to start trying in a few months. I've never not had an obvious LH surge, my cycles have shortened again but ovulation seemed to be CD16/17 with a surge at least a day and a bit before so maybe it'll turn up late or maybe it'll just remain a mystery month!

I've found tracking them on my premom app helped if you're just starting out with them :)

I can't believe it 😭 @PartyPotato you were right!! AF was due today and didn't arrive. It usually arrives a day early or a day late so I was getting a bit edgy waiting but was too scared to test cos I just didn't want the disheartening of another negative test. The wondering was driving me insane though so just took a sneaky test before bed and got this!

First month using cheapy ovulation strips I got from eBay!

Sorry for the silence, I’m ok @Hope18, hope you’re ok too? Are you on holiday now? We are at Center Parcs this week! AF arrived last week with a vengeance and I had really rubbish symptoms and just generally felt rubbish and a bit down. But ovulation week is here and I’ve bought the clear blue OPK so hopefully they work. Here is to month 3!

I’m 9dpo so starting to get nervous about testing, going to try and make it to the weekend.

I have been having a really weird sensation in my boobs - like the let down you get when breastfeeding? Also have a strong sense of smell at the moment so feeling positive but don’t want to as don’t want to get disappointed! Will just have to wait and see!

@chivari I can't believe how similar we are! Ovulation week here too! I'm sorry you felt so down. We must have had AF at the same time.. I was really down too! ❤️ Exciting for you CB ov test! Let me know how it goes! I'm doing cheapie OPK from boots.. But yes we are on holiday on Saturday so DTD lots before we go.. Just incase we get lucky this cycle but not holding out as its a bit early before actual ov day I think..

Got AF today, 2 days late, bit disappointed but glad to finally have got an answer in way of AF meaning I can start again properly for this next cycle!

Has anyone found taking folic acid supplements to have affected their cycle length?

@Hope18 oh wow yes we are pretty much in line with our cycles! AF turning up was really rubbish but onwards and upwards. What cycle are you on now?
We will be dtd every other day this week and next week I reckon! When do you usually ovulate? I reckon you can be creative when you’re away 😂 I did my first clear blue this morning which was obviously a blank circle as expected. Interested to see when I will actually ovulate!

I spent most of Saturday really bummed out cos I just felt it wasn't going to happen and it was actually going to end up taking a lot longer than with first DS. Really hoping the luck on this thread continues for everyone else! With my first DS I'm pretty sure I felt implantation but this time around I don't really feel like I had any symptoms except for a weird gurgling uteras (?) 😳 and yesterday the tingly let down breastfeeding feeling @CBB2021 you're describing, so fingers crossed for you!!

@Maddie2802 sorry AF got you. It sucks. I’m on CD3 and it’s hit me hard this month. Currently doing the whole what if it isn’t gonna happen for me 🤦🏻‍♀️ which isn’t helping. Feels like sooo long to wait again each cycle!

Hi all!
TTC #2 DS is 2 years old in November. We did fall pregnant in May but sadly ended in a MMC.
I track BBT and it's our first cycle trying again. I ovulated a lot later than usual D18 (but probably my body sorting itself out post MMC). I'm 8DPO today and I've had a drop in BBT, light bleeding today on/off (definitely more than spotting) and cramps. I'm literally going insane trying to figure out if it means I'm out this month! I've had my meltdown and cry as I think it's AF but....I also hold out a little hope! As I assumed AF would be later this month due to late ovulation.
Anyone know much about implantation bleeding? As I've never had it before? I mean mother nature isn't kind to us when pregnancy symptoms are identical to AF symptoms....
I guess I'll find out over the next few days if BBT stays down and bleeding continues. 🌈 sending baby dust to all of you! X

@careynurse I’ve been pregnant 3 times and this is the first time I’ve had implantation bleeding! Never had it the first 2 times. Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it if you can have it with one pregnancy but not another.

@PartyPotato thanks so much for the reply. Now a silly question...how much is too much? It's definitely more than spotting but it's definitely light and seems on and off today? Like I say it might just be the start of my period but being 8DPO my heart is saying implantation bleeding and my head is saying period. I've also got cramping. Guess I just need to wait and see over the next couple of days. Hope the pregnancy is going well for you xx

@Indianna2006 it's so disheartening isn't it. Yeah and the wait for AF to be over and ovulation to be here again feels like a lifetime 😓
It will be worth it though! Hopefully this new cycle will be it for us 🤞🏻🍀
