Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

Congrats to all BFP. Been following the thread thought I'd introduce myself, my daughter was 2 in July and I came off the pill almost a month ago. Last time I fell pregnant within 6 weeks but I haven't had a withdrawal bleed or anything yet!
Have been taking cerazette for the last 2 years but have had such irregular bleeding sort of every 8 weeks for only 2 days! When I was on it before my daughter I never ever bled so I feel like my body is different this time.

Used preseed and cheap OPKs last time too and have half heartedly done a few OPKs so far but not for a clue on ovulation this time 😂

@PartyPotato congratulations !! I've been checking back to see if you posted an update!

I'm 5dpo but I had my second jab yesterday and it gave me the worst fever of my life overnight and I feel crap today. I doubt implantation would happen.

@Chanel05 if you’ve already ovulated then I don’t see why the jab would stop the pregnancy continuing if you had managed to catch that egg 5 days ago! Don’t rule it out just yet :)

I’m on 6dpo I think so similar time to you @Chanel05 I also had my second jab a couple of days before ovulation and felt terrible so also not feeling hopeful this month 😔

@CBB2021 wishing you luck! Are you getting any symptoms? I was in my bedroom this afternoon doing some work and my dd did a poo in the front room and I smelt it! I'm not convincing myself that my sense of smell must be heightened 😂.

@Chanel05 I am also convinced that I have super smelling at the moment 🤣 that how I knew I was pregnant with DD. I also had insomnia last night and lower back pain. So defs doing the mental symptom spotting 🤣

I’m also super emotional 😭 and convinced I am pregnant!

Well I’m out. I had bright red spotting 2 days ago and hoped it was implantation but pretty sure AF has started now. Eugh. Cycle 5 and 👎👎. Beginning to get disheartened now and feel like my time is running out 😫

Onto cycle 6 I guess. We’re only trying until after Xmas and then that’s it. So praying I fall before then 🤞🏼

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread.

First of all, huge congratulations to all of the BFP's 🧡🧡 so lovely to hear positive news and it really makes me smile when people see that line that isn't a squinter!

I'm currently TTC No. 2. DD was 2 in July and we've been actively trying since her birthday. AF arrived for me this morning (BOOOO!) and I'm feeling down as this is no day 1 of cycle 5. DD was conceived in literally 2 months, so this is a bit of a shock.

I've decided this month to stop using the OPK's, so the cervix prodding to see position, and to just check CM every now and then. I'm wondering maybe TTC in such a controlled way is just causing undue stress and I need to relax a bit. Has anyone else had the same feelings or taken a break from the tests? How was it for you? Hi @CShandy01, welcome! Totally relating to you and @Indianna2006, I'm on cycle 5 too, AF due tomorrow. I took a test at 10DPO and it was negative so now I'm just waiting for AF to come. There could still be hope, but I just feel so bummed out about it all cos I'm just not feeling hopeful. It was my first month using cheapy OPK's and I've been wondering whether to fork out and get the clearblue ones? I'm just getting really worried that the age gap is getting too big as my DS will be 17 months in a few days

@GreenFlipFlop I’ve used the clear blue ones the last two cycles. They are good. But cheap OPKs still work for the LH surge and they haven’t miraculously meant I’ve fallen 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ Soo is a lot of money IMO for what they are. I won’t be getting anymore as don’t feel like I need them.

Ahh it’s crap hun. You will still get a lovely age gap. But it’s hard to not obsess over what you’re ideal is.
My DD will be over 4 now. Not that id of chosen that neccesarily, I had health issues so couldn’t ttc for several years. But I’m quite glad now I’ve gotten such lovely solo time with DD and not had to share my time like some I know between two screaming toddlers. 😀 pluses and minuses to both sides of the equation.

What is meant to happen happens I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

@GreenFlipFlop my preg tests were still negative at 12dpo!

@PartyPotato what dpo was your positive? Compared to negative on 12 dpo.

I had positives both pregnancies by 12dpo. One bold and one faint.
So always feel like by 12dpo I’m out if it’s negative…but guess it depends when it implants right?

Altho my cycle this cycle has been off. Like I thought AF had come. But it was random red blood. Then nothing for 2 days. An now I’m like AF has come again but it doesn’t seem like it’s actually starting if that makes any sense.

But negative tests. Sooo it must be period as I deffo presume I’m out at this stage.

@Indianna2006 I didn’t test until 17dpo! My cycles are 34 days long, and I was 2 days late.

@PartyPotato oh wow that was some good holding out! Not sure I could ever wait until 17dpo. If I ever got that far I’d just know I was pregnant. Be like longest luteal phase ever for me 🤣

Interesting how ppl can get negatives still at 12 dpo tho and stool test positive later🤞🏼

@Indianna2006 yep, there’s still hope :) I genuinely thought i was out because of the negative. I thought surely it would be picked up 12dpo. But obviously not always!

@PartyPotato Really? I think I only thought it would show something at 10DPO cos it did with my first, but I guess it does depend on when it implanted? I felt quite positive before that first test! I think I'm gonna wait and see if AF arrives now!

@GreenFlipFlop implantation can be up to 2 weeks after ovulation! That’s why the first due date you’re given is pretty inaccurate. That spotting I had which I now think was implantation bleeding was 11 and 12 dpo… so actually my negative PT was 13dpo!

@PartyPotato I feel like you've given everyone so much hope with your late bfp .

I got bfps at 9dpo both times so just figured it was hopeless any other time after.

@Chanel05 it’s good to be able to share different experiences, I’m glad I might’ve helped at all :)

I haven't had an LH surge so far this month or I haven't caught it on my OPK's so feeling a bit disheartened as I was going to give it a good go with conceive plus etc, so feeling a bit confused as to whether we keep DTD (I don't want us to go off each other hahah), as i normally would have had a surge by now, i did my bbt yesterday and today only and it looks like it's gone up vs yesterday so could have had ovulation sneak through yesterday/last night but my Opk's would usually be positive for over 24hours before this. Just coming to get it off my chest, very confusing!!! Keeping my fongers crossed for more lovely two line photos on this thread soon!
