Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

@GreenFlipFlop that's exactly it! I think if she started to settle and sleep through it would be harder to go back. Here's hoping our potential next babies are the kind that sleep at night 😬 she is a dream in the day so I can't complain too much, I am just very tired lol.

Feel like we dtd at the right times but I'm not trying to not get my hopes up because it took a long time with our first. But it does happen doesn't it - we've seen it on this thread! Very tempted to test before then but I know that there's no point. Can't help wondering though...

@Hope18 this is my first cycle ttc so I am not expecting anything to happen until at least May time next year 😂. How are you finding it ttc with a toddler?

@Goodgoodthings what dpo are you on?

I'm pretty certain I ovulated yesterday evening. I felt a sharp pain on my left and I knew I was due to ovulate at any moment so pretty sure I'm 1dpo today.

@Chanel05 I think I'm 9dpo but I did have positive OPKs for 2 days so not 100% as I'm new to using them!

That's exciting, I wish I was one of the people who can feel ov for a bit more certainty. Is that typical for you to feel it?

Took an early detection test and it was negative 👎 I'm 12dpo according to my Flo app, could I still be pregnant?

I'm actually 11dpo just checked, the tests say they can detect up to 6 days earlier.

Defo going to get some for November.. So that would be cycle 3.

@GreenFlipFlop my DD is 3 and now going through the fears stage haha, she's never been a great sleeper! Always seems everyone else's children sleep but I'm sure they make that up 😂

@Chanel05 Ttc with toddler is definitely.. Different... 👀 to ttc #1😂 timings are only first thing or night time if she's not in our bloody bed haha! I also find my cycles now I'm that bit older than I was have changed etc and bloody covid in August has messed them up too!
I'm also a massive over thinker and worry about everything so I stress myself out which doesn't do me any favours!

@Maddie2802 you still could be too early hun, hold in there until AF due day xx

@Maddie2802 I feel OK, AF has been awful this week.. So heavy! 🙄 But thankful because it will mean everything is nice and fresh.
Ovulation window apparently between next Wednesday and the following Monday so we can DTD up until Saturday morning as we will be away Saturday-Saturday.. But better than nothing I suppose 😊

Hello! Can I please join? My DD will be 2 in December and we are trying for #2. But between work being busy and DD being an awful sleeper, there is not much DTD going on....also, I have recently turned 40 so am conscious of my age.....

@Hope18 I’ll keep you all updated! If she doesn’t come, I’m gonna give it til maybe Sunday before I test as I do have history of being a few days late some months.

Had a weird one this evening..my DS kept coming up to me and lifting up my top, rubbing my belly and hugging it! My DH was like...does he know something we don't?! It's making me tempted to test tomorrow..I'll be 10dpo, AF due on the 5th!

We definitely know what it's like with the toddlers and children who don't sleep haha! Currently going back and forth to DD as we speak! Try not to let age worry you too much ❤️ is this your first cycle?

@PartyPotato yes please do! I hate that AF just picks and chooses to be early or late. I was 3 days early this month? Cycle was 24 days! Wth is that about?! 🙄😂

@GreenFlipFlop ugh honestly. Were at the-I don't like my room. I don't need to sleep. I'm scared of my own shadow stage. 😂 Mentally is draining looking for " a cat in her room" at 2am to prove it isn't there. 🙄

She now won't have her curtains closed either because they eyelets on them looked like eyes and with the pleat in the curtain it looked like a beak and she thought it was an owl and went scatty about that. Ffs😂🙈

We have been not preventing since April but think we need to up our game as we will often only manage once during the key days. I've started using CB OPKs (as used them last time) but DH is not a fan of performing on demand so I have to try and pretend I'm being spontaneous!

DH asked me tonight if it was optimal baby making time at the moment... he knows full well that it was 2-3 weeks ago and I haven’t even had a period yet. Someone needs another biology lesson 😆

Just tested and it's negative 😩 could be too early as AF is due on Oct 5th..but I'm sure with DS I had my result 4 days early with the same test! Might try again Sunday or just wait for AF!

I've finally got my static smiley. DTD last night and will again tonight, tomorrow and Saturday then DH is away. Hopefully it's enough to catch it!

So… no AF yet. My boobs have been sore for at least a week (although they don’t feel as bad today), I had that random spotting at the weekend. And today I’ve been a bit sick like 3 times. Not properly throwing up, just sitting minding my own business and suddenly a tiny bit comes up. Negative PT a couple of days ago.
I know it’s bad but I don’t want to test until the weekend because me and DH are going out tomorrow night 😂 I know that having a few drinks so early in pregnancy won’t do any harm but if I know I’m pregnant I’ll still feel bad so I want to be unaware 😂
I still don’t feel like I am pregnant but if I’m not then it’s a pretty strange list of symptoms to not be pregnant!
