August TTC

Hi Ladies

Thought I would create a channel for July / August TTC for those who didn't receive their BFP's this time around

I'm on CD2 now after sadly AF arriving. TTC no1 at 32 and this will be Cycle 4

I'm currently isolating with Covid after having 1 jab (which really messed with cycle 2 and 3) expecting DH to test positive v soon!

So sorry if I miss anyone or if you haven't got your AF yet or had a BFP ! But wanted to capture a few people as I've found these channels super helpful!
@bubblyunicorn Yes! "Lonely" is exactly the way I was going to describe it. Joining in here has made me feel a bit better already though. Lots of lovely ladies on here. My fingers and toes are crossed for you xx
Yeah I thought I'd join so I could speak to like minded people, this is my fifth cycle and every month it's getting harder! Obviously I know it can take time but doesn't make it any more easier. I will look forward to chatting and lots of baby dust to all xx

iknowaly · 27/07/2021 19:57

@Jhodd ahh thanks so much! So nice to have this support. I'm completely new to forums though so just hoping I get the hang of it and can get my head around all the abbreviations! Sending you tons of positivity for your next POAS (hoping I used that right!) xx

bubblyunicorn · 27/07/2021 19:58
@bubblyunicorn yes this is exactly how I’m feeling this time around. I’m glad I found this thread though, it’s the first time I’ve spoke about ttc again x
Yes me too, it's awful isn't it how lonely it does feel look forward to chatting on here with everyone x

StayHopeful · 27/07/2021 19:59

@iknowaly hey, I'm 3DPO on cycle 5 so we are nearly the exact same! TWW is so hard, I'm normally ok for first week then the second week is awful. I feel so similar to you because after BFN on month 4 I just felt so deflated. It's funny the things that make you freak out, im a bridesmaid for my best friend next year and I thought I'd have a 3-4 month old by then, now at best im going to be ready to pop and it's stressing me out😣 I wouldn't worry about exercising it's supposed to be good for increasing chances as long as it's the same level of exercise you do normally. I watched a video on TTC by a couple of doctors, their YouTube channel is thedoctorsbjorkman I think their stuff is really good.

@bubblyunicorn another cycle 5 gal! It does feel so lonely, I had told one friend but she's never had any issues conceiving. I was in such bad form last week because of it all my mum asked me what was wrong and I burst into tears and ended up telling her. I think it does lighten the load a little bit if you have anyone you trust who you could share with especially if they've been through similar. But hopefully this group gives you a little bit of support.

Sending baby dust to you both, fingers crossed month 5 is our month ✨

Hi there!!
On the bus as well
TTC no3, cycle no4 will be for August..

I am a bit stressed as it was already hard enough to find time with 2 toddlers around and with me starting work now sounds impossible...

The last 3 cycles I did tests and observed for my ovulation and we tried well enough I think but af arrived again today and I am disappointed and stressed.

Plus I started to worry as my period comes too early after ovulation...this time was after 8 days..

Any thoughts??

Yeah I told a friend but feel she doesn't really understand either just keeps saying "it'll happen when it happens"! Which yeah I agree with but yeah lol! Just feels like it won't happen atm think I'm so negative today cos af is here again hopefully our bfps will be here this month for us :) x

purpleskyssssss · 27/07/2021 20:47

@iknowaly welcome! I was also a long time reader and now a poster I think like you it was around my 4th/5th month ttc that I really needed the support and MN has helped lots! It's good to get things of your chest 😄

Gosh the 2 week wait is horrible isn't it! I am having a 'relaxed' I think the only way I cope is keeping busy! I am currently still WFH and I think that's why I needed to take a break, I would find myself POAS 3x a day 😖

While ttc I have learned that so much can 'affect' getting pregnant - drink, smoking, excersise, certain foods, stress, the list goes on!! Its hard to know what to do! - I think if excersise is your way of de stressing and keeping healthy, then I would still do it, maybe just don't push your self too much during the session?

purpleskyssssss · 27/07/2021 20:49

@bubblyunicorn welcome! It really is very lonely isn't it ttc! I am ttc #1 and I really never thought for one second how much it would affect my emotions and feeling 'alone' - so it's good to have MN to talk to people who are going through the same.

MrsSG90 · 27/07/2021 21:19

@GoingGently eeekkk, so exciting!! So happy for you!

ViL89 · 27/07/2021 21:32

@iknowaly I'm in a v similar situation had a wedding postponed twice in lockdown so was holding off and now can't believe I've spent 1.5 years at home not trying. I'm 32 now so wish I has started earlier. I also never got a positive on OPK last month just after my jab.

I've just started to recover from covid and wanted to start getting down to it this weekend and my partners just started feeling unwell ...hope he recovers in time for ovulation lol I'm so sympathetic

@bubblyunicorn welcome - These chats make TTC so much easier and less lonely for me I hope you find it the same

Hi there,
I was on July bus but I’m 5 dpo so will be august before I either get bfp or AF. It’s my first cycle ttc #1 after mmc at 11 weeks in June.
Sending lots of love and baby dust to you all 💗 xx

Tjsmjs · 27/07/2021 22:57

Hi. Can I join in? We are cycle 4 of trying for baby number 2.
I’m on cycle day 2

No one knows we are trying so it is a lonely place. I have a short cycle 24 days and appear to have a short luteal phase- seems to be 10 days between ovulation and my period. We conceived our first after 6 months but my cycle was 26 days then so not sure if it was an issue before. I’ve start vitamin C this month to see if that helps with the short luteal phase and I’m also trying to loose a bit of weight (slowly so not to stress my body) as I was 5kg lighter than now when I got pregnant the first time.

Sofaki · 28/07/2021 00:44

Very similar boat..fingers crossed for this month.
Can you tell me a bit more for vitaminC ?how much and which part of your cycle?

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 07:14

Hi girls 10 days dpo just used FMU and still BFN :( won't test again till 12 days dpo (Friday) as I'm definitely spending too much! If it doesn't happen for me this month then I will try to take a more relaxed approach next month and not obsessing over everything... (try being the keyword as it isn't easy! Haha). Hope you are all well this morning Smile

Jhodd · 28/07/2021 08:01

12 dpo and still bfn Sad
This constant testing really takes its toll. So disappointing!

ViL89 · 28/07/2021 08:15

Hi @Tjsmjs

I also have a short luetal phase and have been taking high strength vitamin c and e for the last 6 weeks as this is what I was recommended. I've also been recommended baby aspirin to take after ovulation only. Did quite a bit of research on this.

Hopefully some of this might work for you too

X

@Jhodd @Celina94 it's still very early it to test though we love to do it 1 - myself included. When are you both due your period?

It's such a horrible feeling when you desperately want to see two lines!

I'm due either tomorrow from one app or Saturday on another app. My cycles vary with the longest being 35 and shortest at 27. It averages out about 29-30 days.

I am now 13DPO but scared to take another test. I got a faint blue line on one clear blue but when I did one 2 hours later it was stark negative. Picture for you to see the difference.

What are you ladies testing with?

I bought some COQq10 which arrived so going to start taking that soon! Xx

August TTC
Tjsmjs · 28/07/2021 08:43

Hi @ViL89I and @Sofaki

I read that the short luteal phase may be a lack of progesterone and vitamin c helps boast it. It is tricky I need to lose a bit of weight as in above my ideal body weight but also calorie restriction/and over exercise can cause a short luteal phase but as can bring overweight. I’m trying to loose weight slowly so that it isn’t a big stress on my body but maybe that is contributing. I think I will hit my target weight by the end of October so I will step things up then but thought no harm in adding the vitamin c now and tracking my cycles to see if any difference is made. I’ll keep you guys updated.

Good luck both of you. X

Jhodd · 28/07/2021 08:44

@Capricorn8990 I’m due AF Sunday. I know I’m testing super early, my own silly fault for being disappointed !
I’m using the one step super early at the mo. I have frer & clear blue all waiting but don’t want to waste them, il use them Sunday when I should have my AF if it doesn’t show.
I have ordered some of the cheapy hcg sticks which should be here tomorrow..
I do see the difference! Was the top with fmu? Xx

Capricorn8990 · 28/07/2021 08:50

@Jhodd it's so hard to resist testing when you want something so much. Yeah wait off to use the more expensive ones as testing can be testing to your purse haha.

The top was at 1pm and bottom at 3.30pm. I'm worried it's an evap which is most likely but was reading up on it and a lab worker said that evap lines aren't coloured they are grey and mine is coloured. Xx

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 08:58

Hi girls @Capricorn8990 @Jhodd I'm due AF Sunday/Monday too. Testing super early - I keep doing it it's so hard to resist!!! But then it's like I lose a little bit of hope each time ... it's so silly. I'm using clear blue and also one step strips ... I have two clear blue left and I will do them both on the day my period is due (Sunday) . And will do the one step on Friday as it's a cheap one! But yeah when u really want something it's so difficult to act sane Grin. I feel like I've mentally given up on this month but need to remember that it's still so so early. What's wrong with my brain?! Ahh!!

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 08:59

@Capricorn8990 when are you taking your next test? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! How many dpo did you take those two? X

Jhodd · 28/07/2021 09:15

@Celina94 I know, even though you know it’s so early you secretly hope 2 lines pop up!
I’ve even just gone back through my app 3 years ago 😂to see when I tested with my LO, and how many days dpo it was! It was 13dpo.. so tomorrow 😳
I think I’m out this month, I’ve lost hope I think! Just like you think I’m not sane anymore haha.
@Capricorn8990 well that’s promising re the colour of the line. Keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow’s test 🤞🏻Xx

Capricorn8990 · 28/07/2021 09:16

@Celina94 ohh you ladies can test together then 🤞🏼. Each cycle I say I won't test and wait for AF.. I lie to myself each cycle!! It's a real rollercoaster of emotions isn't it? It is early so remember you're not out until AF shows.

I was 12DPO yesterday when I took them and 13DPO today xx

LeeTTCRainbow · 28/07/2021 10:17

Thanks for tagging me. I‘ll be joining the august bus as Af has arrived again.

Nearly a year into our ttc journey, 2 losses down, this month will be difficult for me as my due date for first loss is 5th august and I’m still no closer ttc our rainbow 🌈 also getting married in less than 5 weeks but can’t even look forward to that at the minute as currently going through the worst period. My cramps are awful, whole tummy, vagina area is so sore, been sick from the pain and absolutely exhausted. Also passed a 2 pound size fleshy lump yesterday which I’ve never had before, so contacted my gp as no idea what’s going on with me. Panicking as If cycle stays the same I’m going to be due on my wedding weekend 🤦‍♀️ Talk about shit timing and if like this cycle I won’t be able to enjoy my day so need something to stop AF or bring on week earlier. Why are our bodies so frustrating.

Sending baby dust to all. Xx
