Hi Ladies

Thought I would create a channel for July / August TTC for those who didn't receive their BFP's this time around

I'm on CD2 now after sadly AF arriving. TTC no1 at 32 and this will be Cycle 4

I'm currently isolating with Covid after having 1 jab (which really messed with cycle 2 and 3) expecting DH to test positive v soon!

So sorry if I miss anyone or if you haven't got your AF yet or had a BFP ! But wanted to capture a few people as I've found these channels super helpful!

I'm 9/10dpo today, haven't taken a test yet but all the usual AF symptoms are here so I'm not expecting much.

I don't find the TWW too bad, it's the 2 weeks waiting for ovulation that drive me mad - I feel like it's wasted time, just give me an egg so we can get going! Is it just me?! Grin

Sorry for all the BFNs and congrats to those of you who got your BFPs xx

Cherryblossom21 · 28/07/2021 10:42

@RosettaTheGardenFairy when I was pregnant (sadly ended in mc) all my symptoms were the exact same as AF, so you just never know. Fingers crossed for you😊
I’m the same as you I quite like the tww, I like the fact there always a possibility you could be pregnant. I also hate waiting for ovulation 😂

Capricorn8990 · 28/07/2021 10:47

@LeeTTCRainbow I'm so sorry to hear about your losses and hope that your doctor finds out what is going on. I also hope you don't get your AF on your wedding! Who knows, that could be your month ❤️

@Dollface20 sometimes taking time away is so good for your mental health. Look after yourself hun and I'm sorry that your AF arrived ❤️

Capricorn8990 · 28/07/2021 10:48

@RosettaTheGardenFairy I find both quite difficult haha it's such a waiting game for it all. Especially if you're irregular.

I have heard AF and pregnancy symptoms are very similar xx

Jhodd · 28/07/2021 10:55

@LeeTTCRainbow sorry to hear about your losses.
I was the same, I got married 3 weeks ago, and had AF but thankfully towards the end so wasn’t overly heavy.
I warned my MOH and she helped with the bathroom 😂 well as much as she could as my dress was huge, her job was to just hold it out the way!
I hope your gp gets to the bottom of what’s going on. Sounds extremely painful if your being sick.
Really hope it eases for you soon.

@Dollface20 sorry to hear your finding it tough. Do what you need to do. Hopefully see you back in the near future

@Capricorn8990 me too! It’s like when I get a symptom is it AF coming or early pregnancy! Defiantly screwing with my mind Confused xx

iknowaly · 28/07/2021 11:48

@stayhopeful Yes, we are in similar boats aren't we? It always surprises me because, as @bubblyunicorn says, you feel so alone and think you're the only one going through your own stuff that no one can relate to. Exactly like you, I've had all sorts of wobbles - around bridesmaid commitments, new jobs, holidays etc. I try not to but can't help planning all these scenarios with a babe in tow. My wedding dress doesn't fit as it so there's no way it would with a bump! But I'd love to have that problem right now! Come on month 5!!!

@purpleskyssssss Hi! Ahh, I wish I could be as disciplined as you to try and keep busy during the TWW. I start the day with good intentions and then get sucked onto Google. I've been trying to find some good comedy films to watch in the evening as a distraction but everything on NFlix seems to have some kind of family or baby connection! Any film recommendations are welcomed? I watched Zoolander last night out of desperation but spent most of it just reading up on here.

@ViL89 so sorry to hear that you've been poorly with COVID. And what a pain about your wedding. It's an added frustration isn't it! I know there's worse problems to have but it does make things so difficult, especially when you're trying to plan it all around TTC and nobody knows. Does anyone know that you're trying? It's interesting that you didn't have a positive OPK after your jab either. My second jab really knocked me for six so I wondered if that could be anything to do with it.

Sending lots of love to all today. And those feeling lonely, know that you are not alone xxx

Cherryblossom21 · 28/07/2021 11:56

@LeeTTCRainbow you have been through such a hard time, I’m so sorry for your losses. Totally understand that the due date will be so hard for you.
And that’s a shame about your period too, hope your GP can maybe sort something for the wedding. I do think our bodies can be cruel, my wedding was years ago but had my period that day too! And I feel it always comes when I have something on 🙈
Wishing you all the best, and lots of baby dust to you too 💗

ViL89 · 28/07/2021 12:03

Hi @iknowaly yes im being pretty open about it if asked I find it helpful. Yep I had my jab in late may and my June AF was weirdly light and my July AF heavy with no ovulation in July. I'm so annoyed they keep saying it doesn't affect fertitlity....when there are no clinical trials

I caught it anyway even though being jabbed so can't help but feel angry about it all!!

@LeeTTCRainbow have you thought of trying period delay tablets? I used to do that for holidays I would make sure 100 per cent they don't affect anything else but might be worth a try?

X

Hey @Twochews78 even worse today as AF starting, so deflated, onto the next we go together, just got home from having my 2nd jab so I guess kind of ok that AF is showing up!
Ah now that’s exactly why I ordered a second stick, because I wanted to test again and the static stats for 48 hours! I do like those sticks, I favour them to the monitor, but you do get some curve balls, iv twice had a static much earlier than expected, then another static that cycle, so beware you may need to keep testing, when you order a refill just get a pack with another tester I would say,
Haha good you have an on hand babysitter, this could be your month, 🍀
I kind of feel really shitty until AF shows then I pick up quite quickly after that, it’s just the last part of the TWW is so hard, I know we are all in the same boat and that’s why we are here xx

Capricorn8990 · 28/07/2021 14:39

I'm out 😊 just took a FRER and it's negative so I'm having a posh coffee and chocolate 🥳 I HATE this.

Next month we have 2 weddings on the same weekend that I'm ovulating so I'll already am being negative thinking I'm out that month too 😔

So glad for this forum x

MrsBridge · 28/07/2021 14:44

Hello everyone, permission to join pleaseSmile I’m on CD 12 for our first rainbow baby. Previously had 2 MC’s and 1 CP. Good luck to all x

Kez437 · 28/07/2021 15:15

Hi All

Hope you don't mind me joining so late but I need advice! We TTC this month and depending on which app I use my AF was either due Monday or today (I think the today one is more accurate) and there is still no sign 🤞
I caved and took the one pregnancy test I had on Monday, it was a digital Clear Blue one, not an Early Response and it was very definitively 'Not Pregnant'.
Question is, should I take a test today? If so does it need to be an Early Response one? Or should I wait?
As you can imagine the waiting is driving me crazy and I just want to know! On the other hand I'm afraid of taking one and it being negative as right now I still have hope. Advice please!

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 15:28

@Kez437 hey! Sounds promising keeping fingers crossed for you. As for taking a test- how many days past ovulation are you?

Kez437 · 28/07/2021 15:32

Thanks @Celina94 I'm not 100% sure on ovulation but I think at least 13 days.
I promised myself I wouldn't take temperature and psych myself out this time but then downloaded another app which just confused me) so I'm not definite on dates.
I want to test but it's the fear of hopes being dashed 🙈

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 15:36

@Kez437 I know exactly what you mean! I'm currently 10 days dpo and so deflated and low due to taking so many tests the past couple of days for them to all come back negative. (Even though I'm testing sooo early!) I've told myself I wouldn't rely on a test again until 14 days dpo - so I guess maybe take it tomorrow morning? Seeing as you do have one more day where AF could creep up x

Kez437 · 28/07/2021 15:45

It's so hard not to drive yourself crazy with it, I took some early tests last week that we're all probably far too early and even though I knew that I was still disappointed when they came back negative 😥 then I had kind of accepted this wasn't my month and was ok with it only for AF to now be playing away so now I'm hopeful again but worried about the disappointment if it's negative again. Argh we women really do have it tough. Think you're probably right and should wait until tomorrow, you're right as well to wait before testing more, the whole process is exhausting

Celina94 · 28/07/2021 16:03

@Kez437 honestly I can 100% relate!!! It's hard to not be disappointed because no matter how early the negative is just so upsetting! Do update us tomorrow on how it goes! Really hoping some good news for you !!

wellitywell · 28/07/2021 16:07

Ughhh at a funeral yesterday and a family friend looks at my glass of champagne and then down at my stomach and said "no baby yet then?!" Hmm Felt a bit cheeky as I don't know her that well. Anyway I was honest and said "well yes we're trying but nothing yet... we're not all as fertile as your daughter" I think she took it in good humour! I don't mind people asking if it comes up in a conversation but not as the first thing you say to someone!!

@Capricorn8990 hahaha I went and got myself a fancy flat white when I took my early test last cycle. Yes to coffee and chocolate!

@Kez437 Ohhh fingers crossed for you. On my first month TTC, AF was four days late so I took loads of tests... all BFNs but I didn't believe them 😂 doesn't mean it might not be your month.

Quinn26 · 28/07/2021 16:27

Hi All, hoping I can jump on board?

Been TTC over a year now, unfortunately had a MMC in Jan and a chemical last month after 4 months TTC after MC. Starting to worry something is wrong that my body won't hang onto this sticky bean.

Anyway onto a new cycle, baby dust to you all x

Clarysjb · 28/07/2021 16:57

Hi everyone, can you help? I have no idea how many dpo I am as I didn’t track it. I had unprotected sex on the first day of my period which was 3rd July and I had a niggling feeling to take a test this afternoon so I took a frer. My app says I’m due on this Sunday however it’s day 28 on Friday and I’ve been more regular the past few months so the average may be off on the app. This line appeared within 1 minute but it’s very faint. I haven’t the best camera but you don’t even need to squint to see it in real life! What do you think?

GingerFox2021 · 28/07/2021 17:09

@Capricorn8990 I had a similar situation with this test. It showed smth and next day nothing. I don’t think I want to use these tests next time.
Hopefully yours will turn up into BFP!

ViL89 · 28/07/2021 17:14

@Capricorn8990 I'm sorry to hear that try and focus on the next cycle, I tend to be more sexually active when I'm drunk lol so it might not be a bad thing

@wellitywell your much nicer than me I would have found that really annoying people don't understand indiviual people's situations so they shouldn't comment

Xx
