August TTC

Hi Ladies

Thought I would create a channel for July / August TTC for those who didn't receive their BFP's this time around

I'm on CD2 now after sadly AF arriving. TTC no1 at 32 and this will be Cycle 4

I'm currently isolating with Covid after having 1 jab (which really messed with cycle 2 and 3) expecting DH to test positive v soon!

So sorry if I miss anyone or if you haven't got your AF yet or had a BFP ! But wanted to capture a few people as I've found these channels super helpful!

@YummyMummyXoX

Cd 39 had a bfn 2 days ago. Got odd symptoms but expecting af to be here anyday now just makes sense lol x
I'm the exact same as you! BFN 2 days ago and still no AF 😩
Willow1982 · 08/08/2021 17:18

@Twochews78 hey sorry I have been quiet on here for a bit, was having a bit of a sulk!!!
Had 2 more pregnancy announcements and i was feeling soooo deflated with it all!
Anyway I’m taking a much more casual approach to this cycle, we have even dtd just for fun… mad I know!! I’m on cycle day 11 today, FW is this week coming, Iv only peed on 1 opk so far, I’m not going to poas every day, just going with the flow for August!
How are you? All ok I hope xx

Congratulations to any BFPs the August bus has brought so far xx🎉🎉

Good luck to all on this bus xx🍀

Normally between 28-32 days! 😩😩 So annoying as I want AF to come so we can get onto the next cycle now!

What about yours? Xx

Twochews78 · 08/08/2021 18:51

@Willow1982 2! My god, no wonder you were having a sulk! That’s hard work. It’s hard when your heart can’t get what it wants. I’m glad to hear you’re ok though and you’re having fun 😉 I’m on day cd22 and think af is on the way. Feeling deflated too and might take a month out to reevaluate, as there’s lots going on and I’ve been in burnout for a few weeks! Might even try to have fun this month too! xx

I like your plan of taking a relaxed approach!! It was be hard, I seem to get caught up

YummyMummyXoX · 08/08/2021 21:42

@Itsjustme20 well had my coil out in may on my period. My last cycles have been 32, 40, 34 and 38 days so it's hard to say lol. My app says I'm currently a day late x

Ah I imagine it's your body adjusting to the coil being removed? Hopefully it won't keep you waiting too long though!

I've been on no contraception for over a year now (only just started TTC though) so I haven't a clue what's happening this month! Not sure I ovulated this month though xx

YummyMummyXoX · 08/08/2021 21:51

I'm just thinking because I had the copper coil it shouldn't have affected my cycle as the mirena would've. My cycles seemed shorter with it in x

Oh yeh! That is weird then! Hopefully we'll both get AF soon 🤞🏼 I just want to start the FW again soon xx
YummyMummyXoX · 09/08/2021 07:27

@Itsjustme20 fingers crossed we get clarity this week x

ViL89 · 09/08/2021 07:39

Hi ladies

I have started bleeding two WEEKS early, I started getting positive clear ovulation tests but then started bleeding. It's heavy.

I had something similar last month but was spotting not like this.

I had my jab end of May and had covid 3 weeks ago ish.

Has anyone had anything similar I'm averaging period every 2 weeks for the last 2 months I've had tests done and they are coming out clear

I'm so deflated this has never happened before so I'm so confused and thinking it must be covid related

@ViL89 I think both covid and the jab can mess up your cycles for a bit. After my jab af was delayed by 10 days then I had another period 3 weeks later. I'm back to normal now. My sister had covid about 3 months ago and completely missed a period

WantStickyBean · 09/08/2021 08:14

@ViL89 I'm sorry, that's rubbish. I agree with you though it does sound covid related. I assume you were pretty regular before and hadn't just come off hormonal birth control?

I hope it settles down quickly for you. Must be a huge disappointment in the meantime though Thanks

Tjsmjs · 09/08/2021 08:58

@ViL89 I’m sorry. That is rubbish for you. It is likely related to covid. I’ve heard lots of women have had irregular cycles for a couple of months after having covid. Hopefully it will settle down for you in the next few weeks.

I’ve come down with some sort of stomach bug so currently lying in bed feeling very sorry for myself. I’m 2dpo so not hopeful for an implantation now. I know you are not out until AF shows up but pretty sure this reduces my chances significantly.

Paintingfences · 09/08/2021 08:58

@ViL89 I hope your cycles settle down, my sister had a very early period after her jab and it settled back to normal then.

I hope this is OK to post, I've also posted in another thread. I took a test this morning to rule out pregnancy and the result is very unexpected. I have no idea how far along or anything, stopped my pill at the start of July. I have no idea what to do next.

ViL89 · 09/08/2021 09:52

Thanks everyone yes im usually pretty regular so this is very odd... I was due my 2nd jab but reluctant to get it as I've had my first and had it! I don't want to delay things settling back down or have any more months like this. I'm on a bit of a time stress as getting married in September next year after two covid related postponements lol.

Sorry to hear that @tjsmjs I'm not sure what effect it has but fingers crossed it doesn't rule it out for you.

I was getting flashing smilies on clearblue ovulation so confused.

I wish there was more information and advice for women about periods and fertitlity related to the jab and the virus it feels like its not being discussed enough. Not sure how they can say it doesn't effect fertitlity if its knocked out 2 months for me... I can't conceive if I'm bleeding all the time so it does affect fertility. I'm not recommending not getting the jab I just wish there was more info.

@Paintingfences nice dye-stealer - congratulations! I'd get in touch with your GP to refer to midwife, at least you know you can't be more than about 6 weeks?

emmalou1234567 · 09/08/2021 11:59

Hey ladies
I'm feeling really disheartened today...
Although I am so so happy for my friend but she's just got pregnant after her first try and then my husband and me have been trying since December with no luck....
I've got the clear blue monitor at the moment and on my second month of using that...
I know I ovulate as last month I was high on the machine and then went peak...
I'm just so fed up of being disappointed every month... I honestly feel like it's never going to happen for me :(

I don't know who to talk to or what else I can do!
I'm 30 and husband is 29 we're healthy etc.

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/08/2021 12:22

@emmalou1234567 Completely feel you there, here for support and to rant also, been a year ttc with 2 losses and my friend literally thought about trying and fell that month (insanely jealous) also my sister in-law 4 months into trying fell pregnant and is now due her baby boy in October, even now i keep saying to myself come on when is it our time and our time that works out as missed miscarriage 12.5 weeks and 6 weeks, we will get there but if one more person tells me to relax it will happen might have to whack them one haha xx

Also healthy, BMI fine 28 & 29 xx

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/08/2021 12:24

@Paintingfences Congratulations on your BFP wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

Paintingfences · 09/08/2021 13:10

@LeeTTCRainbow thanks xx I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, I'm hoping everyone gets their BFP soon❤️

Itsjustme20 · 09/08/2021 13:25

Hi everyone!

So ive been saying how AF hasn't turned up. I took a test 2 days ago and it was a BFN. Taken one just now and had this - is that a line or am I seeing things?! 😳🤞🏼

August TTC
LadyoftheWoods · 09/08/2021 13:37

I can see a line. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞

WantStickyBean · 09/08/2021 13:50

@Itsjustme20 I can see it! Though, I'd be a bit cautious if you're late then I would have expected a stronger positive. But you do hear loads of stories of people only getting a late BFP and going on to have straightforward pregnancies - I really do hope this is what's happening for you.

@emmalou1234567 I'm having one of those days too. Can't believe I'll ever see a BFP. On the verge of listing all the baby things for sale that we kept after DD outgrew them.
