Toot toot, it's the July 2021 TTC Bus arriving early

1000 replies

Fiep · 29/06/2021 20:14

The July 2021 bus has arrived 1 day and 1 night early but you don't need a FRER to detect it! Just hop on. Grin

Let's hope for lots of positive vibes & lines and if the lines stay away, you'll at least find 24/7 shoulders to cry on! Glitterball Brew

No tickets required, just bring some pee in a cup and you're in! Wink

Hope I've tagged all the passengers but if you're not tagged - hop on anyway!

@TtcNumb3r @Speccybibliophile Thankyou both, I know very strange feeling of being happy for someone but same time feeling 'why not me' something I've never experienced before

@TtcNumb3r lovely to hear you got your rainbow, defiantly passes on the hope!

@Speccybibliophile yes I have finally called them today been putting it off for a while, they will be calling me Monday, like you said hopefully clear things up 😃😃😃

Speccybibliophile · 23/07/2021 22:22

@purpleskyssssss I really feel for you. I've been there myself so I understand the mixed emotions that you and previous posters have mentioned. It's so difficult when loved ones share the good news that we have been craving.

I'm no expert but I'm fairly sure that we do alternate ovaries each time we ovulate. I think 33 days still counts as being a regular cycle. It's probably worth getting reassurance from your GP though if it's concerning you.

@TtcNumb3r that sounds heartbreaking but so lovely to hear of little rainbow
@Speccybibliophile I am the same as you hate seeing a negative test!

This month I tried to take the relax approach and it worked due to being busy until I checked my app (couldn't resist) 😒 and I was CD 25! I have tested every day since and I am now CD 33 and I have just started spotting so AF will arrive tomorrow so I know I will have a crap day and then onto the next cycle!

I have been ttc for 9 months now and I have noticed every other month is very irregular and the next month I am always 28 days - does anyone know if we alternate in the ovary that we ovulate??? Worried I might have one not working 100%

Also just to rub salt in the wound on AF arrival day the last 4 months EVERY month I have found out someone is pregnant within our friendship group, and tomorrow I have my best friends baby shower which I am excited for, but with AF in her first day of full swing I know i will go home feeling very emotional, we both came of contraception at the same time and started trying 😫
I'm no expert either but I'm pretty sure you can ovulate from either ovary any month ie it doesn't necessarily go right, left, right, left... but it could be the case that yours do or have done the last few months.

When I go to write one of these I can never remember everyone's names to tag them but totally relate to everyone talking about how difficult it is when it seems like half the world is pregnant. Feels like every week someone else I know is announcing, and most of the time they're people who say it wasn't even planned! I can't get pregnant for all the trying in the world, don't know how people do it by accident 😂

Im expecting to ovulate in the next 2-3 days. This is month 5 for us TTC and I don't know why I've found it so hard to pick myself back up this month. Sending baby dust to everyone in the TWW, hope you all get your BFPs soon 💛

Morning @Dollface20 don't feel silly, we've all done it!! 8dpo is still pretty early even for a Frer, though (have you seen the 'when can I take a test?' calculator on their website?). It old me not to do it before 10dpo and I hope I can wait till a few days after because I still don't totally trust Flo's predictions re OD etc (but I probably won't manage to wait as it's just too tantalising). 🙈

purpleskyssssss · 24/07/2021 07:56

Thanks that's good to know I will see what my dr says, hopefully will get an appointment next week...

Yes it defiantly does, I suppose when your trying you become more aware but still doesn't help 😂

Good luck DTD @StayHopeful over these next few days and fingers crossed for that BFP

@Dollface20 I know how disheartening it can be seeing a negative but you are still super super early! The chance of seeing a positive at 8DPO are very small. I used to test from about 7DPO for about 4-5 months and was getting to me! Now I make sure I have no test in the house until about 12DPO or AF arrival and it's made it a lot easier

mummytoolive · 24/07/2021 08:02

@Dollface20 it may still be too early but either way lots of love to you.

@Laureatus I did not know you could do this on the website it's very helpful Thankyou!

@purpleskyssssss I know exactly how you feel, I had three baby showers during my first TTC journey and found out I was pregnant after 2 years of trying and 4 days after my nephew was born. It's amazing how many emotions we can feel at once but the negative always wins. Keep your chin up hun all the dust in the world to you!

Love to everyone where ever you are in your cycles

WantStickyBean · 24/07/2021 08:50

@Dollface20 you are absolutely, definitely not out with a BFN at 8dpo. It's just not how the hormones work. They don't gradually rise from conception to AF, they stay at 0 until implantation which is normally 8-12DPO, then spike rapidly. So you could implant at any point in the next few days and then see a BFP 24-48 hours later.

BFPs aren't unheard of at 8DPO (I was on a thread last month where there were about 5!) but it is unusual because it implies implantation at 6/7 DPO which is earlier than "normal".

I hate seeing negative tests too. Last cycle I did an IC at 11dpo. But this cycle I'll just wait for either my temps to drop or AF to arrive. I'm done with BFNs

Countingchicks · 24/07/2021 09:12

@Dollface20 my FRER only showed a very faint line at 11dpo so 8dpo is way too early to rule yourself out

Itsjustme20 · 24/07/2021 09:39

Morning everyone! 😊
@Dollface20 - I agree with all the PP that 8DPO is still early on. Wait a few more days and test again if no AF. 😊

I’ve woken up this morning with an increased sense of smell. I was so certain we’d missed ovulation this month so counted myself out already but maybe not 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m only 5DPO according to my apps so not sure if it’s too early to have increased sense of smell.

DeviousImp17 · 24/07/2021 11:21

I am now 1 DPO. In for the wait. 😫😫

It’s exciting to see all of these BFPs! And totally understandable when people start testing early!

Hey ladies! Can I please join?

I'm also 1DPO.

First month trying. I have a 4 year old son already who I was very lucky to conceive on first cycle with. I'm now however 5 years older! So I'm sure my fertility has taken a dip.

Congratulations to those with BFP's so far and good luck to the fellow TTC's xx

@purpleskysssss I totally understand how you feel about other people getting the happy news and not you. I've also experienced this lots and like you it's always on day 1 AF when I'm already super emotional that it wasn't my time. Last month it was my sister in-law. She is 18 months younger than me and broke the news to us that she is pregnant with her 3rd. Her 2nd only just turned 1 so I know they conceived straight away. She also conceived her 1st by mistake literally a few weeks after starting to date her now husband and I just couldn't help thinking why are you so fertile and im just not. What struck me the most was that even my husband was upset by the news so don't worry, men can also feel like this. It's so hard to put your own feelings aside. Obviously we are over it now and happy for them but my god it hurt for a few days!!

Capricorn8990 · 24/07/2021 13:13

Is it possible to get a negative on a FRER at 9DPO? Anyone have any stories. I'm getting fed up of it all now, so emotional. Ive felt so unwell today and I thought, maybe I'm pregnant. Our bodies are cruel 😢

Gummybear17 · 24/07/2021 13:38

@Capricorn8990 it is very possible to get a negative at 9dpo on FRER my in April when I fell pregnant my FRER was negative at 9dpo and 10DPO but positive at 12dpo.

DeviousImp17 · 24/07/2021 14:20

I’m also trying first month, daughter is 3.5 years old. We were lucky to get pregnant the first month trying for our 3.5 year old.

Capricorn8990 · 24/07/2021 15:10

Thank you @Gummybear17 I feel so ill today and I have a hen do later. I feel hot with a headache and so tried. Hope you're well x

@Dollface20

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and replies ! I haven't noticed any early pg systems as such so after seeing the BFN at 8dpo I was like oh well not happened this month and really knocked me I was quite surprised at how much it affected me! But now I'm going to wait to see if AF arrives on the 30th if not should I wait a day or two to test? N if I'm preg too I will feel guilty I've had a few glasses of wine last night and bottomless brunch processos this afternoon! Xx how's everyone today x
Aww hope you manage to get through the next 6 days okay. I understand about seeing a BFN and the effect that has... Completely normal to feel knocked and affected.

Today, I have had a stern word with myself to stop symptom spotting. I keep flipping between being hopeful and being utterly hopeless. We are having my nieces stay over in a few days time until testing time, so I'm hoping that will be a bigger distraction than anything else so far lol.

Laureatus · 24/07/2021 19:39

@Dollface20 we're TTC no2; with no1 I managed to wait until a few days after AF was due to do a test so I knew I'd have a more likely correct result either way. I did feel a bit bad though, as the day before my result we were out for our anniversary and I had ALL the drinks (a gin when getting ready, a pre-dinner drink, different wine with each course plus dessert wine, then an after dinner drink) and also because the hotel room we were in had the heating stuck on and it was roasting (my husband singed his hand on the radiator trying to turn it down): excess heat can be bad when you're pregnant. Everything was fine, but that was the last time I drank for well over a year. I have plenty of friends who did drink (responsibly) during pregnancy, which is within current guidance, but I decided not to have anything at all.

TtcNumb3r · 25/07/2021 07:57

@YummyMummyXoX only takes one well positioned little guy on O day 🤞

mummytoolive · 25/07/2021 09:12

So today I'm 9/10 dpo yesterday I had achey boobs and underarms really noticeable all day but today it's there but not as prominent 😢
I never get sore hooves before my AF.
Still
Not done a test but yesterday I was sure I must have implanted where as now I'm worried it wasn't a sticky enough little bean.
5 more days of this rollercoaster 😭
