The July 2021 bus has arrived 1 day and 1 night early but you don't need a FRER to detect it! Just hop on. Grin

Let's hope for lots of positive vibes & lines and if the lines stay away, you'll at least find 24/7 shoulders to cry on! Glitterball Brew

No tickets required, just bring some pee in a cup and you're in! Wink

Hope I've tagged all the passengers but if you're not tagged - hop on anyway!

@LA9610 I'm definitely going to do what you are doing and just track my cycle and then ONLY take a test when I'm 5 days late... I hereby swear it
I wonder how long that'll last

heymacaroner · 16/07/2021 14:25

@Carolinesturn Really sympathise with you. I'm only 8DPO but the willpower to not POAS is waning. AF isn't due for another 9 days(!) which feels like years away. I think we drive ourselves mad symptom spotting. This month I was absolutely convinced after ovulation that I had pregnancy symptoms, even though I know it would have been way too early. Crossing fingers for you.

Countingchicks · 16/07/2021 16:41

Here's one for the POAS addicts, just pee on an LH strip if you've spent too much on pregnancy tests. Per my post last weekend I got my BFP at 11dpo. I'm now 16dpo and decided to try this today to see how true it was. Never got such a high peak before so it's true they really cannot tell the difference between LH and HCG! Plus at about £20 for a box of 100 on Amazon you can POAS to your heart's content.

ashlove17 · 16/07/2021 17:30

@LA9610 It’s so nice to read that you’ve been through the same as me and you’ve really helped me to make a decision! I also have never had a true peak opk and I’m unable to hold my urine long enough (and drink little enough) to get a strong result! You’ve convinced me to ditch the testing and just track the basics. Thankyou for sharing :)

LA9610 · 16/07/2021 20:15

@Carolinestrum, it is early days for you but when you want something and it seems like it's not happening it's normal to feel that disappointment. I know that many others may have a harder or a longer journey than you but that doesn't invalidate your nerves, anxiety and worries. I genuinely do feel like a more relaxed approach is easier to handle though, I try to only do a pregnancy test if I genuinely think I may be pregnant and have a covid Jab or plans which involve drinking that I'd want to know if I was pregnant before. I've found it helps to try and make other little plans for the future too so I'm not just revolving my life around trying to get pregnant!

Twochews78 · 16/07/2021 21:40

@LA9610 definitely get checked by the doctor and insist the do any tests you think you need. Extra vitamin is supposed to be good too! xx

Twochews78 · 17/07/2021 07:00

@LA9610 sorry vitamin D. xx

WantStickyBean · 17/07/2021 07:55

Morning everyone!

My CB digital has surprised me this morning with a flashing smiley on CD8. I'm not totally surprised as I thought I noticed a CM change yesterday but even on a 26 day cycle this feels early.

I think my challenge this month is to not DTD too early. Last month we did consecutive days CD9-14 from my first flashing smiley and were then exhausted - not ideal when I actually ovulated between CD14-16.

I had previously "planned" sex for CD9,11,13-15 and 17 this month (thank goodness for an obliging DH!) but might have to rethink!

LA9610 · 17/07/2021 08:32

@ashlove17, you are welcome! Tracking, charting, temping etc its not for everyone and there is no shame in that. How long have you been trying for?

Chronos321 · 17/07/2021 08:48

Mornig!
This month will be the first time I will give it a go @TTC...
It feels more of a marathon, but hopefully I will get there...
Good luck everyone

Laureatus · 17/07/2021 09:16

@Carolinesturn sorry just caught up on messages. I think it's awful the pack you had didn't come with any instructions for that test! I'm glad you've had help from other threads too, sounds like just going on the result if that test might not be conclusive, so a chat with your GP as you said might be a useful step next x

CocoLady · 17/07/2021 09:50

Hello can I join again please? I've been off here a while as I was getting to fixated on TTC, tracking etc! How is everyone?

I did a OPK a few days ago and had a smiley face and me n partner have DTD a few times during the 2 days. So I guess is it a two week wait now or shall I wait for AF to come ?

I also have a birthday meal out next week and was planning on havin a few drinks.. would that affect anything ? I wonder if anyone ever has a few drinks during TTC? X
Thanks 🙏🏻

heymacaroner · 17/07/2021 11:34

@CocoLady wondering the same about drinking! I have had a few drinks this cycle, which I’m feeling guilty about. Ideally I’d like not to drink at all but I’m aware that I might be TTC for quite a while yet so partly I’m not wanting to make myself more hard done by than I need to. I’m also at a stage where I’m getting lots of raised eyebrows and winks if I say I’m not drinking particularly in front of family, which I find quite hard emotionally because I would desperately like to be pregnant. Feels so unfair that people won’t just mind their own business and not make assumptions all the time Sad

amyannx · 17/07/2021 12:27

@CocoLady hey! I'm 14 weeks pregnant and the first few months I didn't drink when ttc and the cycle I did conceive on I went out for dinner and had a few cocktails so for me drinking didn't affect anything x

Countingchicks · 17/07/2021 13:51

@CocoLady same here I had four double g&ts when out with colleagues one night at 1dpo then got my BFP after all these months so don't worry about it too much in the TWW

CocoLady · 17/07/2021 15:23

Thanks all ! I'm only drinking once per week maybe a bottle of wine over a weekend and whilst TTC considering on my first I was out nights a week drinking and drank a lot during the first 4 weeks, she's fine!

I think a lot can affect ovulation too.. diet, stress, mood, the weather, what colour socks you have on ! 😂 I heard relaxation is key and wine 🍷 helps with this 🤪🤣

CocoLady · 17/07/2021 15:24
  • just to add I didn't know I was pregnant drinking in the first few weeks of pregnancy! X
Twinkles18 · 18/07/2021 17:23

Hey ladies! Anyone on 11dpo and not tested yet? I'm trying to hold off until missed AF - Flo app tells me it's due on 22nd but Natural Cycles is telling me I'm due on 25th so I'm torn on when to test 😂
Felt so nauseous this morning like waves of sickness that kept coming and iv never experienced that before so fingerscrossed that's not a bad sign ❤ baby dust to us all xx

Countingchicks · 18/07/2021 17:40

@Twinkles18 I tested early this month precisely due to the nausea I had. Would be so good for this to be your BFP xxx

Twinkles18 · 18/07/2021 17:53

@Countingchicks it's wild, the sickness has been coming and going the past 2 days so hopefully! Might test early if it continues this week 🙏
So excited for you though, how have you been feeling?xxx

Countingchicks · 18/07/2021 17:56

@Twinkles18 not too bad really, it's more that I get hungry very suddenly but find I'm eating slower, drinking slower. I'm only 4+5 now so I think the major symptoms will only show in a week or two. Had to massively reduce refined carb intake as I was really bloating so it's probably good I'm trying to hide it for as long as possible from work it's forcing me to eat healthy

ashlove17 · 18/07/2021 18:23

@LA9610 I came off the pill in August 2019. May 2020 I had a mc and I never went back on birth control after but we weren’t ‘trying’. January this year we decided to actively start trying with the tracking, testing, temping but my cycles are irregular, long and I never seem to get a peak opk reading. It’s done nothing but stress me out so far this year so I’m now going to try the laid back approach until around Christmas. I’ve had blood tests, urine tests, multiple ultrasounds to investigate the reasons behind my irregular cycles and the struggles and they all came back clear and good so just left to keep trying. How about you?☺️

SkaterChick · 18/07/2021 18:35

Anyone else ovulating at the mo?
I'm having all the signs and has some ewcm this afternoon but honestly it's just to damn hot for sex right now. So I'm grumpy because I'm too hot, because I feel like we haven't dtd enough this week and because I feel like I should be dtd today to conceive but also fuck moving right now 🤣

Twinkles18 · 18/07/2021 18:36

@Countingchicks hopefully your booking scan flies in for you! Best excuse to eat a bit healthier isn't it 😊

Countingchicks · 18/07/2021 18:40

@Twinkles18 thank you 😊 I have to wait until I'm 6 weeks before I can do the self referral where I am. Got my second Pfizer jab tomorrow so pleased to get that done and be protected ASAP
