The July 2021 bus has arrived 1 day and 1 night early but you don't need a FRER to detect it! Just hop on. Grin

Let's hope for lots of positive vibes & lines and if the lines stay away, you'll at least find 24/7 shoulders to cry on! Glitterball Brew

No tickets required, just bring some pee in a cup and you're in! Wink

Hope I've tagged all the passengers but if you're not tagged - hop on anyway!

@Carolinesturn welcome! 😊

Capricorn8990 · 15/07/2021 08:20

Welcome to all the newbies 👋🏽 !

I am so confused.. I got my static smiley face yesterday so ovulating 24hrs - 36hrs after that.. I also did the cheapie OPK and got a 200% result. Today I took a cheapie again today and got this (attached). Does it mean I'm going to ovulate tomorrow or could it still be today?

Any help/ advice would be appreciated! X

Morning everyone I would like to join in aswell if possible? I'm 31 came off
Microgynon end of may after 8 years on it, had my first period end of June and I had a smiley on my clear blue test today, trying for my first time 🤞🏻 good luck everyone.

Anxiousnewbie · 15/07/2021 09:17

@Capricorn8990 I often get 2 days of peaks on OPKs reading at 200% aswell, so I think ovulation might be the day after this when the reading reduces slightly? Perhaps BD more frequently around this time just in case 😁

TtcNumb3r · 15/07/2021 09:18

@Capricorn8990 I usually get 2 days of blazing positive. If surge started yesterday then could be next 12-24hrs. BD for sure!! Good luck!!

WantStickyBean · 15/07/2021 09:18

@Capricorn8990 sorry this isn't helpful but really there isn't any way of knowing.

It's pretty normal to have more than 1 day of peak OPKs - I've attached my (low-tech) comparison from a couple of months ago, I was peak for a good 2 days. That was the month I started temping because knowing that I could have ovulated anywhere in that 3 day window from the first peak OPK until 24 hours after it ended really stressed me out!

Willow1982 · 15/07/2021 09:22

@Capricorn8990 I’m not sure if this will help, but I have had results of 3 days of peak (static smiley) before, my advice would be just dtd as much as you can the next couple of days! And good luck xx

@Twochews78 sorry to hear your run down, sounds like you need a nice holiday or spa day….don’t we all!! So I’m glad I listened to my body (cm) and not my stupid monitor with its low results, I got another peak today!! So still cracking on with dtd, we paced ourselves this cycle so hopefully he should be ok for later!!😂
I took your advice again and took my internet cheapies too and they said peak this morning too, I’m cycle day 17 which matches the last couple of cycles so I’m going with this peak and ignoring sundays peak!!!xx

Capricorn8990 · 15/07/2021 10:22

Thank you ladies for replying to me about the OPK! It would be amazing if our bodies could say "egg drop coming xyz" haha. Sadly not! We've BD 9th, 11th, 13th, 14th and aiming for today but don't want to do it too much either!

I went to the doctors this morning to be referred for me endometriosis again as apparently I won't qualify for Fertility support as it's not a fertility problem 🤨. Hoping to get the referral in the next few months🤞🏼.

Carolinesturn · 15/07/2021 17:53

Has anyone done an at home trine FSH test, I just did one and it came back positive!! I'm freaking out as very worried about going into menopause at just 32. I took the test because it came free with my opk kit from eBay. I did it today after two positive LH tests (smiley faces) could this just be raised because I did it at the wrong time? Please help (it didn't say on the packet that there was a certain time frame to do one)

mummytoolive · 15/07/2021 19:31

@Capricorn8990 got my static today 🙌🏻
I've had tender breasts too which is new for me during ovulation. Hoping it's a good sign 🤞🏽

Catch up with you in 9/10 days when we're going out of our minds symptom spotting 🙈😅xx

Capricorn8990 · 15/07/2021 20:44

@mummytoolive yayyy!! Haha yes - we can go insane together 🤣! Hoping it's our month xx

Capricorn8990 · 15/07/2021 20:45

@Carolinesturn I haven't and I don't know what it is - can you explain? Don't stress too much you may have done it wrong? Xx

Carolinesturn · 15/07/2021 22:08

@Capricorn8990 thanks for the reply! I didn't know what they were either until it came free in my opk kit. It's an ay home kit to test your egg reserves.

Twochews78 · 15/07/2021 22:26

@Carolinesturn I think you have to take them at a particular time of the month and it’s usually done by the doctor who takes your bloods. xx

Carolinesturn · 16/07/2021 06:49

@Twochews78 I suppose I'm only reading bad things on the internet, not very useful. I'll speak to my GP today. The only other symptom I have of menopause is lack of ewcm. I've been off the pill for 7 weeks and had one bleed with early spotting from dpo 10. I would never have ordered this test, I just used it because it was there!

Laureatus · 16/07/2021 08:10

@Carolinesturn I haven't heard of one of these tests before, but as they don't seem to be commonly included in these packs, I wondered if the kind of test itself isn't that straightforward. The below is 'only' a WebMD article, but it does say they aren't always reliable tests, esp when your period is irregular (so I'd presume coming off the pill could put you in that category while your cycle settles down) . Obv I can't give medical advice though, so do speak to your GP as you clearly have some concerns. I think many of us have a lingering worry about these things - I was on the pill from 18-32 so I was like, 'I don't have a true idea of my cycle and fertility, what if something's wrong and I don't know?' It took about a month for my first real cycle to come back, and we got pregnant on the third cycle. It's different for everyone, but try not to panic yet. I know even saying that is not always helpful, sorry! I'm sure your GP will be able to explain everything properly - if not, you can also speak to another GP if you need to.x

Laureatus · 16/07/2021 08:12

Morning all - just to report, I caught myself symptom-spotting like crazy just because we've DTD all week - I haven't even ovulated yet (according to Flo) 🤣 hopefully O day is tomorrow.

Carolinesturn · 16/07/2021 08:55

@Laureatus it's encouraging that not many people have even heard of the test, this test came out in 2009 by CB but was withdrawn from the market for some reason. If I hadn't taken it id be sitting in ignorant bliss right now but I can't rewind the clock! One lady on another thread says i took it at the wrong time.

WonderlandZooHD · 16/07/2021 09:23

@Fiep
Can I join the bus 🚌
Dpo 13
TTC cycle 4
BFP 10dpo

I also have to say my SO had the most under reaction I’ve ever seen! (Watched a fair few on YT) Was not expecting it the line was on the faint side not a squinter tho not by any means. I’m I the crack pot for wanting a bit more of a reaction 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m waiting a few days to take a digital so it’s actually in words for him 😂😂 I’ve taken 4 standard all positive

LA9610 · 16/07/2021 11:38

@Twochews78 thank you! I'm taking a folic acid and vitamin B tab from Boots that I've been taking since first started trying. I bought 3 tubs naively thinking they would last a whole pregnancy, little did I know I'd actually finished them before I even conceive 🙈
I had blood's and hormones checked and apparently everything was fine which I was surprised about as I struggle with female hair loss and so had always thought my hormones must be out of whack 🤷‍♀️ I've not taken any hormonal contraception for the past 8 years. I am thinking that I should maybe go back to doctor and ask for investigations into endometriosis as I have pretty much all of the symptoms and this month my period pains have been pretty bad. I'll need to go back if I don't conceive by the end of the year anyway as the year of trying will be up and I don't want to delay being referred for anything given my age.

LA9610 · 16/07/2021 11:46

@Carolinesturn I did one of those when I first started trying as I can never get a positive on a OPK and was worried I may not be ovulating! Mine came back negative but you definitely do need to do it at a particular point in your cycle. Mine came as a pack of 2 so I've just checked the instructions and it says if you have a positive result you should repeat the test a week later (I didnt as it was negative). FSH naturally elevates for short periods in normal cycles but it is the extended elevation which indicates pre-menopausal state hence you should test a week apart. Did you get 2 tests included? If you are worried I would go online and buy 2 more tests and try them, if still positive seek advice from your doctor.

Twochews78 · 16/07/2021 12:04

@Willow1982 thanks! Think it’s all the running about and teething. On the mend now. 🤣🤣 pacing is right, it’s hard work TTC. After this months poor show I need to ramp it up come next FW. So glad you got another peak, you’ll be exhausted by the end of this week. You’ll need a spa too! My temperature took another big dip today so I’m just waiting. I’ve absolutely no symptoms either. xx

Carolinesturn · 16/07/2021 12:45

@LA9610 yes I did get two but after speaking to my GP I think I'm going to throw it away, I'm not sure if that's burying my head in the sand but she said I should throw away all my test for 3/6 months and just chart my period. I get positive LH results, I've taken 5 tests altogether 2 on the last cycle and 3 this, 4 out of 5 were positive smiley faces. The third this cycle was negative.
I suppose my thinking now is what's the harm in having regular sex and chart my period in a paper diary, I'm starting to think all these tests and charts are affecting my mental health. I couldn't sleep last night because of worrying about a test I didn't even order! I hate being a woman

LA9610 · 16/07/2021 13:09

@Carolinesturn totally understandable. I am the same, I don't take ovulation tests or anything anymore as not getting positive results was freaking me out but I also just drink too much liquid and generally can't hold a wee for long enough for them to be accurate so I stopped. I just make sure to have sex at least every other day starting from the day my period ends and don't track anything other than my period now!

Carolinesturn · 16/07/2021 13:26

@LA9610 totally agree! I mean this last 7 weeks I've convinced myself I've got PCOS, endo and now premature ovarian failure and actually I'm ashamed to admit that as people suffer from those diseases and here's me googling every tiny symptom I have but googling it with the disease like for example 'dry top lip and menopause' and of course it comes up with results. Then I speak to real people who have struggled so much with proper tests and doctors appointments and I feel ashamed. I do feel I've got some sort of imbalance but I need to go through the proper process in order to come to any conclusions. Actually even just writing this has been cathartic. I've only been off the pill for 7 weeks and it's not fair to post this drivel when some have been trying for so much longer. I need some perspective and to stop being so selfish
