June - 8DPO - Anyone with me?

Hey,

I'm 8DPO and feeling super dizzy with a headache for the past two days, slight nausea and swollen nipples. It could well be AF as she is due in a weeks time (on my sons 1st birthday, how cruel is that by the way?!)

Is anyone else on the same CD or there about? How are you feeling?

Yes this will be my first baby (hopefully). Myself and my partner are both mid-late 20s. I have always had a regular cycle and get clear ovulation signs so I really didn't expect it to take this long :( I'm getting a lot of pressure from family / friends/ colleagues who ask when I'm planning on having a child which is so hurtful when you can't share that its just not working for you.

Well hopefully it’s a good sign for us! This is my first cycle so I’m not expecting a BFP but if it does come it’s most welcome!

Will you hold of testing until AF? I’m not sure what will be more disappointing.. my period or a BFN🤷🏻‍♀️

@Skincareaddict we are similar im 28, 29 end of the month been trying for 10 months with two losses so far and never expected it to take so long as always hear about these 'accident pregnancies' that work out (like our niece and nephew) yet here we are.

I'm so with you on the pressure side, we brought our first home at 21 and since 25 I've had proper pressure, fiance and i have been together 10 years, finally marrying this year after covid wrecked last year, and before they knew about out losses it was always so when am i having grandbabies (fiance side mainly) i used to shrug it off and say oh not yet (as im crying inside as really been trying for few months and had no luck), why people ask couples when having kids i never know as never know what goes on behind closed doors. AND even now after two miscarriages other halfs dad is still asking have we started trying again yet, oh your only getting older, i mean like we need reminding. doesnt help his sister is now pregnant hers has worked out, so we feel like just following even though been trying for months. sorry rant over just really winds me up.

@HRP1990 yes heres hoping. you never know does happen, have you been tracking ovulation or just bd every few days?

So as had a few negatives that are really disappointing i will hold out until AF due should be around 17th/18th if stays in same cycle (since miscarriages cycles have been out of sink slightly) but may even wait few more days and test Saturday i have a baby shower so i will need to know or will be thinking about it all day, fiance is on a stag do so hoping if BFP can surprise him for fathers day with a rainbow baby grow i have saved, not that ive thought much about it haha. what about you? x

@LeeTTCRainbow I’ve been tracking ovulation with OPK. I’ve also started taking vitamins which, I’m not sure if connected.. this cycle has been extremely long compared to last. Could be coincidence! Are you doing the same? I might look into temping too.

My luteal phase is 11 days according to my app so AF should be 14/15th for me. I’ll hold out if I can.

Wouldn’t that be the loviest surprise? I was thinking Father’s Day would be a lovely day to tell my other half too. Fingers crossed for you!

@HRP1990 Hi yes i use cheap ovulation sticks to start and watch to see if line is progressing, then when get a peak i check with my clear blue sticks and each time got that static or flashing smiley, first month of using was my mmc so they work, hoping this month we are just as lucky. i use apps too but found they are slightly off my ovulation dates so i add in and work out my AF myself from usually app says week before or week later than actual AF.

Oh i think that's why im so desperate this time, plus if had a positive going to a baby shower will take the sting off a little especially as i was only a week behind her for first pregnancy, my first due date is fast approaching and just would help me get through it, if was pregnant again.

@HRP1990 of also i take pregacare every night so know got all the vitamins in one.

@pinkypink24 hey lovely, welcome, how exciting, have you tested? if you do use First Response test rather than clear blue as blue dye are known for indents i mean they both are but if pregnant hopefully FR will be clear.

Yes when i came off my pill my cycles were all over for few months, however sounds like yours have got a pattern which is very promising that its not arrived, if havent tested, can test tomorrow morning or wait few days so to see if AF arrives.

Hey @LeeTTCRainbow thank you for the warm welcome 💓I've just remembered that I had my first Pfizer jab on May 18th & I've read lots on here that the jabs can sometimes mess with your cycles. I will keep nipping in to see how you ladies are doing & I will keep you updated with any news from my end.

It's fab to all be part of the same journey.

P.S I'm 41 so I feel that my time TTC is limited but still holding out hope.

@LeeTTCRainbow rant away to your hearts content! Its comforting to know there are people in the same kind of boat. People really should know better than to ask when you're having a baby, especially after losses but I guess this is just the way people are

Hi, can I jump on this post, now in the 2 week wait but only just, ovulation was 2 days ago (according to physical symptoms such as the consistency of cm, I didn't realise this until a day later though when the cm showed up) and already have a baby born in March so this would be baby number 2 if I was pregnant but it would not be planned at all as that would be a far closer gap than we were planning, trouble was I hadn't had my period almost 13 weeks pp despite bottle feeding so wasn't aware I was ovulating yet as my GP said it could take up to a year before they show up again so now I'm feeling a little silly, me and my husband have talked about it though and we wouldn't be disappointed if I was pregnant as we know how much of a blessing it would be, just our timing would be different than originally planned so we'll see in 2 weeks time ☺️

@pinkypink24 oh yeah maybe it’s that then, I have my second booked 22nd June, so will bare that in mind thanks, yes def keeps us updated, sending baby dust your way. X

@LeeTTCRainbow my sister had 6 miscarriages then she went on to have her gorgeous little boy. Sorry hope I haven't disheartened you by giving the number x just saying that it's definitely possible when you feel like you are loosing hope

Update, still no AF for me. 2 days overdue on period & no cramping yet - I usually get bad cramping 2 days before AF. I did a test today but it was the most ridiculous tiny bit of forced wee that I did impulsively So nothing to report really other than wondering where AF is?!

Sorry forgot to report test was BFN : (

P.S I didn't use first response or clear blue, it was just a strip test in a foil - bought online in bulk. Sorry for drip feeding, first time posting on here about TTC journey.

@pinkypink24 sorry to hear about your sister but amazing news she got her beautiful little boy after the hard times she went through. I do my best to keep positive some days are harder than others.

Sorry to hear about negative test perhaps Af is coming later this month as been too early to test.

10Dpo today was so tempted to test this morning but don’t want a maybe positive want it clear if it is. Still feeling queasy, struggled sleeping for past 3 nights now and lower back pain. I may test Tuesday where will be 12Dpo

@pinkypink24 I can’t see a line on tests…yet but not sure how sensitive these are if few days before AF still.

@pinkypink24 when I had my BFP last year with my little boy, I used the easy@home brand bulk tests, they worked far better for me both pregnancy and opk testing wise, they were much clearer than another cheap brand I'd bought so might be worth trying those xx

Hello all, please can I join. I’m 11 dpo and had a bfn this morning. This is cycle 3 of ttc but right now it feels like it will never happen! I’m an older mum and have a DD, but I am ttc with a new partner.
I was convinced this month as my breasts have been much heavier and hard around the nipple. I slept for much of Friday because I was so tired, and I’ve been constantly thirsty. I was sure that it would be positive but unfortunately not. AF due in 3 days! Just wanted to vent and wish you all luck.
